1.A New Subset of CD4~+T cells: Th17 and Its Biological Effects
Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(04):-
The T help cell 1(Th1) and Th2 cell classification have provided the framework for understanding CD4+ T cell biology and the interplay between innate and adaptive immunity for almost two decades. Recent studies have defined a previously unknown subset of the CD4+ T cell effectors, the Th17 lineage. The uncover on the differentiation of IL-17-producing effector T cells from naive T cell precursors provides insights into mechanisms by which signals from cells of the innate immune system guide alternative pathways of Th1, Th2 or Th17 development. Th17 lineage has an important role in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. This promises to change our understanding on the immune regulation, immune pathogenesis and host defense. The identification, differentiation and immune function of the new subsets of Th cells, Th17 cells will be reviewed.

The currently used heart valve prosthesis are still far from the ideal one in anticoagulation and longevity. The construction of tissue engineering heart valve leaflets are carried out recently. This article reviews the progress of tissue engineering heart valve leaflets in implanting materials, seeded cells, animal experiment and basic research. It also discusses the benefits and feasibility of tissue engineering heart valve leaflets.

Tianjin Medical Journal 2017;45(6):576-579
Objective To investigate the influence of high-level of glucose on the expression of ghrelin in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). Methods After 12 h glucose free culturing, the effects of different concentrations of glucose and different incubation times on expressions of ghrelin were observed in HUVECs. ( 1) The cells were treated with 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 mmol/L glucose for 2 h, then ghrelin mRNA expression levels were detected by RT-PCR, and the protein levels of ghrelin were detected by ELISA. (2) The cells were treated with 10 mmol/L glucose for 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 6, 12 hours, ghrelin mRNA and protein levels were detected respectively. Results (1) The expression levels of ghrelin mRNA and protein decreased along with increased glucose concentrations, which showed no obvious changes when the glucose was above 15 mmol/L. (2) The expression levels of ghrelin mRNA and protein decreased with the prolonged incubation time. But more than 6 h culturing time showed no further effect on reducing the expression level of ghrelin. Conclusion High levels of glucose can inhibit the expression level of ghrelin, which may be one of the mechanisms of atherosclerosis.

International Eye Science 2017;17(8):1584-1586
AIM: To investigate the situation of patients with mechanical ocular trauma and the possible influencing factors related to the prognosis.METHODS: Totally 260 patients(286 eyes) with mechanical ocular trauma from January 2011 to January 2016 in Xiaogan Central Hospital were selected and retrospective studied.Sociology and clinical data including gender, age, career, injury causes, injury nature, treatment time and visual acuity on admission in these patients were univariate analyzed, then the positive factors were analyzed using Logistic regression.RESULTS: The middle-aged and young males were domain in 260 patients. The causes were mainly sharp instrument injury, while perforating injury of eyeball was the majority in injury nature.Univariate analysis showed that injury causes, injury nature, treatment time and eyesight on admission were influencing factors, while multivariate analysis by Logistic regression showed that visual acuity on admission and orbital contusion were independent influencing factors for patients ocular trauma.CONCLUSION: Ocular trauma is a majoy cause of monocular blind, there are close associations between prognosis of ocular trauma and orbital contusion and visual acuity on admission. But the majority of ocular trauma is preventable and treatable, the relevant measures should be developed to prevent the ocular trauma.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2017;23(4):433-437
Objective To discuss the clinical characteristics and efficacy analysis of children with cerebral palsy and neuronal migration disorders (NMD) by retrospective analysis. Methods From June, 2005 to June, 2015, 32 children with cerebral palsy and NMD were en-rolled as NMD group, while 60 children with cerebral palsy with periventricular leukomalacia (PVL) as PVL group. Both groups received comprehensive rehabilitation for three months. Their clinical classification, complications of epilepsy or epileptiform discharges, the score of Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM), and development quotient (DQ) were compared, as well as the follow-up results of six months. Results There was significant difference in the clinical classification of cerebral palsy between two groups (χ2=24.529, P<0.001). The inci-dence of epilepsy and epileptiform discharges was higher in NMD group than in PVL group (χ2>4.605, P<0.05). After treatment, the score of GMFM improved with time in both groups (Ftime=6.850, P=0.010), and was significantly lower in NMD group than in GMFM group (Fgroup=29.885, P<0.001);the scores of DQ in all the functional areas improved with time in both groups (Ftime>25.041, P<0.001), and were signifi-cantly lower in NMD group than in GMFM group (Fgroup>32.347, P<0.001). Conclusion Children with cerebral palsy and NMD are charac-terized by mental retardation, epilepsy and spastic hemiplegia, and poor outcome.

Journal of China Medical University 2017;46(1):59-61
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of homocysteine(Hcy)and high?sensitivity troponin T(hs?TNT)of serum in coronary heart disease(CHD). Methods A total of 310 cases of CHD(CHD group )and 285 cases of healthy individuals(healthy control group)were re?cruited in our hospital from August 2014 to July 2015. The serum levels of Hcy and hs?TNT in all subjects were measured using methods of enzy?matic cycling and electrochemical luminescence. Results Levels of Hcy and hs?TNT of serum sample in CHD group were higher than healthy control group(P<0.05). The positive rate of Hcy combined with hs?TNT was 88.4%,which was significantly higher than the positive rate of indi?vidual detection(P<0.05). Hcy and hs?TNT of patients with myocardial infarction were different from those of patients without myocardial infarc?tion . The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The combined detection of Hcy and hs?TNT can improve the detec?tion rate of CHD,which has a certain application value in the diagnosis of CHD.
