To introduce Prof. T ian Cong-huo’s commonly used acupuncture methods and their clinical application, in order to summarize the famous doctor’s experience, promote the experience inheritance of Chinese acupuncture, and enhance the therapeutic effect of acupuncture.

Objective:To explore antitumor mechanism of a recombinant vaccinia virus expressing human carcinomembryonic antigen(rV CEA).Methods:C57bl/6 mice were immunized three times with rV CEA.Six weeks later,the splenocytes from rV CEA immunized donors were adoptively tranfered in sublethally irradiated CEA + HePa bearing recipients,meanwhile the antiumor effect of the donor splencytes in virtro was detected.Results:Splenocytes from rV CEA immunized donors expressed strong antiumor activity in CEA positive tumorbearing recipients,whereas W VV immunized and nonimmune donor cell did not.The antiumor activity was abolished when immune T cells were depleted before splencytes transfer.Conclusion:It was demonstrated that antiumor acivity induced by rV CEA was essentially mediated by immune T cells which were activated by CEA specific immune response.Adoptive immunotherapy strategies may have implications for both the study of rV CEA and the development of potential clinical applications for tumor immunotherapy.

Peony and Licorice Decoction was effective in treating Restless leg syndrome(RLS) with the function of nourishing yin for softening liver,relaxing spasm and relieving pain.Clinical practice,ancient literature and Chinese medicine theory were comprehensively studied to conclude that blood stasis is the key cause of RLS.Promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis was the crucial therapy for RLS.

Objective To evaluate the diagnosis and efficiency of nasal endoscopic surgery treatment for rhinogenous optic function damage (ROFD).Methods The clinical data of 36 patients (36eyes) with ROFD were retrospectively reviewed.All patients were operated on nasal sinus probing and open sinus surgery through transnasal endoscopic approach,and 10 patients underwent endoscopic optic nerve decompression.Results Seven patients had bilateral pansinusitis,9 patients had unilateral posterior ethmoidal sinusitis and sphenoiditis,8 patients had isolated sphenoiditis,8 patients had fungal sinusitis occured in the sphenoid sinus and unilateral posterior ethmoid sinus,3 patients had unilateral pyocyst and cyst of the sphenoid and ethmoid sinus,1 patient had frontal and ethmoidal sinusitis.All patients were confiemed by pathology after surgery.The visual acuity preoperative were as follows:3 eyes no light perception,10 eyes hand movement,11 eyes fingers counting less than 20 cm and 12 eyes were vision impaired in different degree.The visual acuity postoperative were as follows:3 eyes failed,13 eyes cured,20eyes improved from hand movement or fingers counting to fingers counting (30-60 cm).The efficiency rate was 91.7％(33/36).The other eye symptom was disappeared.Sinus epithelization was happened after surgery in all patients.Conclusions If the medicine expectant treatment is invalid,nasal sinus probing and open sinus surgery through transnasal endoscopic approach should be performed early in treatment of ROFD.Patients who suffered frnm severe visual damage and either unresponsive or intolerant to medical treatment should be administrated endoscopic sinus surgery including endoscopic optic nerve decompression.

?AIM:To study the changes of ocular surface in cataract patients with Meibomian gland dysfunction ( MGD) who treated with Meibomian gland massage before surgery.?METHODS: Totally 90 patients ( 93 eyes ) with cataract and MGD were randomly divided into two groups. Patients in experimental group were treated with hot compress and Meibomian gland massage every day before surgery, while the patients in the control group were not taken. Two groups of patients received phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation. Lid margin abnormalities, secretion characteristics, Schimer I test ( SⅠt) and tear film break-up time ( BUT ) were recorded and compared between two groups using slit lamp microscope inspection preoperatively and postoperatively 1wk.?RESULTS:In the control group, the postoperative score of eyelid margin and Meibomian gland secretion was increased significantly than preoperative, while the value of BUT and SⅠt was down significantly. Compared with control group, the postoperative score of eyelid margin shape and Meibomian gland secretion in the experimental group was decreased significantly, while the value of BUT and SIT improved significantly (P<0. 05).?CONCLUSION: Phacoemulsification can aggravate the Meibomian gland dysfunction and have some extent of effects on the ocular surface. Meibomian gland massage before surgery can significantly improve the function of Meibomian gland and the state of ocular surface in patients with MDG.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of sex hormones( 17 β-estradiol and testosterone)on human omental preadipocytes proliferation and differentiation and on leptin and adiponectin secretions in adipocytes.Methods Omental preadipocytes were cultured and then differentiated into mature adipocytes in vitro.The proliferation and differentiation processes of preadipocyte were observed.The preadipocytes were incubated in the presence of sex hormones and were detected the contents and gene expressions of leptin and adiponectin.ResultsHuman preadipocytes were primarily cultured successfully.Estradiol stimulated preadipocytes proliferation (0.823±0.059 vs 0.276 ±0.032,P＜0.05 ),and inhibited lipid accumulation in cell differentiation ( P＜0.05 ).Testosterone had no significant effect on proliferation of preedipocytes,but inhibited adipogenic differentiation ( P＜0.05).Leptin could be detected during proliferation and differentiation of preadipocytes.Estradiol increased the leptin secretion,whereas testosterone reduced it ( all P ＜ 0.05 ).The adiponectin only could be detected during differentiation.Sex hormones reduced the adiponectin secretion.17β-estradiol stimulated leptin mRNA expression and suppressed adiponectin mRNA expression in adipocytes.Testosterone suppressed the mRNA expressions of leptin and adiponectin (all P ＜ 0.05 ).ConclusionIn vitro,17β-estradiol increases the leptin secretion and mRNA expression whereas reduced the adiponectin secretion and mRNA expression.Testosterone reduced the adiponectin and leptin secretion and mRNA expression.

Objective To evaluate the toxicological safety of antithrombotic small peptide RWR with independent intellectual property right. Methods Toxicity test in mice, mice bone marrow micronucleus assay, mice sperm abnormality test, and 30-day feeding test in rats were carried out in this study.ResuIts The MTD of acute toxicity test for rats was larger than 120 mg/kg.The results of bone marrow micronucleus assay, mice sperm abnormality test were all negative.Thirty-day feeding test had no adverse effects on body weight, food utility rate, organ coefficient, blood routine index of rats.There was also no histological changes related to RWR in lung, liver, spleen, kidney and heart of rats.ConcIusion RWR had no obvious toxicity on animal growth, hematopoietic function, kidney function and organ tissue and so on.

OBJECTIVETo explore treatment effect of the locking plate percutaneous external fixation to tibial fractures.

METHODSFrom July 2010 to February 2013, 8 cases with pediatric tibial fractures were treated by using unilateral locking plate percutaneous external fixation,including 6 males and 2 females with an average age of 7 years old ranging from 4 to 10. Among them, 5 cases were open fractures involving 1 case of Gustilo-Anderson type II, 3 cases of type III A, 1 case of type III B; and the other 3 cases were closed fractures involving 2 cases of AO type A3, 1 cases of type B2. The postoperative bone healing and gait impact were observed and the function was evaluated by Johner-Wruhs scores.

RESULTSAll fractures healed successfully without infection. The fracture healing time was from 3 to 6 months with an average of 3.9 months. The locking plate removal time was from 4 to 7 months with an average of 4.3 months. Among them, 7 cases were visually normal after walking with stand, 1 case of anterior tibial tendon defect affected gait. The results of Johner-Wruhs assessment were excellent in 7 cases, good in 1 case. No rub contralateral medial calf skin wounds occurenced.

CONCLUSIONThe method is simple, stable and reliable. The fixation strength is suitable for children using locking plate percutaneous external fixation. The postoperative functional recovery was excellent and the walking gait was less affected. But the point of LCP pedicle screw should be carefully selected before installation with good skin coverage.

Objective To explore the safety and clinical effect of combined laparoscopic-colonoscopy resection of colorectal tumor.Methods A total of 26 patients with early colorectal tumor was treated by combined laparoscopic-colonoscopy resection.To observe the postoperative complications,the mean operative time,mean intraoperative blood loss,mean time of gastrointestinal function recovery,and mean postoperative hospital stay were analyzed.Results All the 26 cases were operated successfully.The mean operative time was 60 ～ 162 (93.7 ± 22.5)min.The mean intraoperative blood loss was 15 ～ 120 (35.9 ± 24.2) ml.The mean time of gastrointestinal function recovery was 48 ～ 120(73.2 ± 14.5)h.The mean postoperative hospital stay was 5 ～ 13 (7.4 ± 1.8) d.No postoperative complications occurred,such as stomach leak,enterobrosis and intestinal obstruction.Follow up 6 ～ 12 months,there were no tumor residue and recurrence.Conclusions The combined laparoscopic-colonoscopy resection was located exactly,reasonable excision scope,minimally invasive,quick recovery and other advantages.It was worth of clinical application.

Objective: To study the psychological status and influencing factors in patients with nephritic syndrome(NS) before and after percutaneous renal biopsy(PRB).Methods: 235 cases of NS were examined by Symptom Check List-90(SCL-90) and STAI 24 hours before and 6 hours after PRB.Results: Before PRB,factorial anxiety and phobic anxiety were higher than norm,while after the procedure,only somatization score was still higher than norm;In men,there was a higher score than that of women after PRB,all indices were seen decreased significantly;Higher scores were seen in under-60 years old than over-60 years old.Conclusions: Before and after PRB,many factors were involved in and responsible for patients' psychological symptoms.
