Objective To report the surgical approach for the treatment of giant or extensive skin lesions due to the infection of human papilloma virus (HPV). Method Surgical treatment was performed for 10 patients with verruca vulgris, 20 with condyloma acuminatum, and 8 with epidermodyplasia verruciformis, whose giant or extensive lesions were poorly responsive to routine non-surgical therapy. Results Recurrence of lesions was found in 2 of 10 patients with verruca vulgris and 5 of 20 condyloma acuminatum in 6 months after operation, with a total recurrent rate of 25%. The extensive skin lesions were removed and the functions of affected limbs were recovered in patients with epidermodyplasia verruciformis after operation, however, the long-term topical retinoids was needed to control the recurrence of the lesions. Conclusion Surgical approach is effective for the treatment of the giant or extensive skin lesions due to HPV infection.

Objective To evaluate changes in cerebral blood flow before and after cranioplasty by 256-slice Spiral CT perfusion imaging,and evaluate the effect of cranioplasty on the cerebral blood flow in patients with skull defect.Methods 256-slice spiral CT scan was performed in 20 cases with early cranioplasty surgery,CTP check time points were 1 to 2 days before and 10 to 14 days after cranioplasty surgery.We recorded the the CBF and CBV of the cortex,basal ganglia,and thalamus and other parts,MTT on rCBV,parameter values rCBF,MTT and 1TrP etc.and analyzed and compared.(RCBF,rCBV,MTT and TTP) Results The CBF of cortex after cranioplasty at injured side had statistically significant increase (P＜0.05).The CBF of cortex,basic nuclei,thalamus on contrateral had no statistically significant difference.The cerebral blood flow on both sides of the basal ganglia and the thalamus was increased after surgery,but there was no significant difference between before and after surgery (P＞0.05) Conclusion Cranioplasty can significantly improve the ipsilateral cortex cerebral blood flow,and CT brain perfusion can accurately assess changes in brain tissue blood flow before and after cranioplasty.

Objective To establish an accurate method for estimating the indoor gamma dose rate from decorative stones.Methods Combining a room model with decorating conditions,the gamma dose rates and dose rate conversion factors (DCF) at 1 m above the floor in the room center were calculated with the Monte Carlo simulations,and the calculation results were verified through experiments.Based on the results,the limit of radionuclide contents in stone materials was further discussed.Results The DCF increases with the increase of area or thickness of decorative stones in the same room.The increase of DCF with the thickness of decorative stone is approximately linear.The DCF also increases with the area of decorative stones,but the increasing trend slows down.For the same decorative stones,the smaller the room,the larger the increase of gamma dose rate.Experimental results were consistent with the simulation results within ± 20％.Conclusions The increase of indoor gamma dose rate depends not only on the radionuclide contents,but also on the area and thickness of the decorative stones as well as the room size.The method used in this study can be used to estimate,more accurately than ever,the additional external exposure to residents due to decorative stones,and it provides a theoretical basis for revising the limit standard on radionuclide contents in decorative materials.

Objective: To investigate the expression of platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGF-R) in periapical granuloma.Methods:Immunohistochemical staining was conducted on prepared specimens of 15 cases of human periapical granuloma. Results:The expression of PDGF receptor ? was detected in fibroblasts,capillary endothelial cells,plasmacytes and macrophage cells in all the 15 cases of human periapical granuloma.Conclusion:These results suggested that these cells are the target cells of PDGF, and PDGF may play an important role in the lesion.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of Acupotomy on spastic cerebral palsy. Methods105 cases of spastic cerebral palsy were random divided into group A (35 cases with acupotomy), group B (34 cases with physical therapy) and group C (36 cases with acupotomy and physical therapy). Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS) was used to assess spasticity before and a month after therapy. ResultsEffective rate of group A was 65.71%, group B was 29.41%, group C was 77.78%, which of group B was significantly lower than those of group A of C. ConclusionAcupotomy can reduce muscular tension of spastic cerebral palsy, which seems more effective than physical therapy.

Objective To investigate the application and significance of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) and cross reactive groups(CREGs) matching in clinical renal transplantation. Methods A total of 312 cases of kidney transplantation were divided into two groups.In one group of 149 cases of kidney transplantations,ClassⅠCREGs matching criteria were applied instead of conventional HLA A,B matching which had two A,B mismatches(MM).In the other group of 163 cases of kidney transplantation there were A,B 0～2MM by the conventional criteria.The graft survival rate at 1 year and incidence of acute rejection within 1 month after transplantation were compared between the 2 groups. Results The percentages of HLA Ⅰ antigens 0,1,2MM were 16.7%,41.6% and 34.2% by CREGs matching criteria,and were 6.7 %,21.5% and 71.8% by conventional matching criteria.The matching rates in CREGs 0,1MM group were significantly higher than those in corresponding conventional matching group ( P 0.05);however,the incidence rate of CREGs 0MM group was obviously lower than that of A,B 2MM group ( P 0.05 ),but the rate of CREGs 0MM group was obviously higher than that of A,B 2MM group ( P

Objective: To investigate the effects of electroacupuncture (EA) on the behaviors of rat with anxiety disorder, and the expressions of hippocampal neurotransmitters including 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), norepinephrine (NE) and dopamine (DA), and the expressions of hippocampal B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2) and Bcl-2 associated X (Bax).Methods: Forty-six male Wistar rats were randomly divided into a control group (n=10), a model group (n=12), an EA group (n=12), and a drug group (n=12). Except the control group, the other three groups were established into rat models of anxiety disorder using uncertain empty bottle stimulation. Rats in the EA group and the drug group received corresponding interventions for 15 consecutive days [EA group was given EA at Baihui (GV 20) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6); the drug group was given aqueous solution of alprazolam via intragastric administration]. After intervention, all four groups received open-field test (OFT) and elevated plus-maze (EPM) for behavioral evaluations. The expressions of 5-HT, NE and DA in hippocampus were determined by fluorescence spectroscopy (FS) while the expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax proteins in hippocampus were determined by Western blot (WB). Results: The OFT horizontal scores in the control group, EA group and drug group were significantly higher than that in the model group (all P<0.05), and the difference between the EA group and the drug group was statistically insignificant (P>0.05); the OFT vertical scores in the model group, EA group and drug group were significantly lower than the score in the control group (all P<0.05). The EPM percent of open-arm entries (OE％) in the control group, EA group and drug group was higher than that in the model group (P<0.05), and the differences among these three groups were statistically insignificant (P>0.05); though the percent of open-arm total time (OT％) in the EA group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), the difference was statistically insignificant when compared with the drug group (P>0.05), and it was significantly higher than that in the model group (P<0.05). The expression of 5-HT in the EA group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05); the expression of 5-HT in the EA group was significantly lower than that in the model group (P<0.05); the difference between the EA group and the drug group was statistically insignificantly (P>0.05). The expression of NE in the model group was significantly higher than that in the other three groups (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference among these three groups (P>0.05). The expression of DA in the EA group was significantly higher than that in the control group and the drug group (both P<0.05), while the difference between the EA group and the model group was statistically insignificant (P>0.05). The expression of Bax in the model group was significantly higher than that in the other three groups (all P<0.05), whereas the expression of Bcl-2 in the model group was significantly lower than that in the other three groups (all P<0.05), and the differences in both Bax and Bcl-2 among the other three groups were statistically insignificant (all P>0.05). Bax/Bcl-2 in the EA group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05) and lower than that in the model group (P<0.05), and the difference was statistically insignificant when compared with the drug group (P>0.05). Conclusion: EA shows promising effects in attenuating rats' anxiety disorder, which may be achieved by the down-regulation of the expressions of 5-HT and NE in the hippocampus and/or inhibition of hippocampal neuronal apoptosis. The efficacy is comparable to that of intervention with alprazolam.

To discover novel antitumor rhodanine unsaturated ketones, a series of fluoroquinolone (rhodanine α, β-unsaturated ketone) amine derivatives (5a-5r) were designed and synthesized with fluoroquinolone amide scaffold as a carrier. The structures of eighteen title compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR and MS. The in vitro anti-proliferative activity against Hep-3B, Capan-1 and HL60 cells was evaluated by MTT assay. The results showed that the title compounds not only had more significant anti-proliferative activity against three tested cancer cell lines than that of the parent ciprofloxacin 1, but also exhibited the highest activity against Capan-1 cells. The SAR revealed that some compounds carrying aromatic heterocyclic rings or phenyl attached to an electron-withdrawing carboxyl or sulfonamide substituent were comparable to or better than comparison doxorubicin against Capan-1 cells. As such, it suggests that fluoroquinolone (rhodanine α, β-unsaturated ketone) amines are promising leads for the development of novel antitumor fluoroquinolones or rhodanine analogues.

Objective To assess the diagnostic value of various preoperative imaging examinations for the point of the lateral femoral circumflex artery perforators through the deep fascia,in order to provide reasonable evidence for the design of location and protocol of anterolateral thigh perforator flap.Mehtods From September,2013 to December,2013,23 patients (including 1 patient with bilateral anterolateral thigh perforator flap) preparing anterolateral flap surgery were randomly divided into 4 groups(every group was 6 side).The patients in different groups were using different imaging techniques respectively,such as handheld doppler (HHD),Color doppler sonography (CDS),MDCT angiography (MDCTA),CDS and MDCTA united image location technology.The flap sizes varied from 8 cm × 5 cm to 28 cm × 12 cm.Moreover the coincidence rate between preoperative and intraoperative location of the perforator vessel was evaluated.Results Ali flaps were survived after the operation.The donor site were primarily closed while partial skin grafting was performed in 8 cases.The appearance and functional resuhs were satisfactory with following up for 3 to 9 months.The rates of coincidence between the preoperative and intraoperative location of perforating branches were HHD 61.53％,CDS 87.50％,MDCTA 85.71％,CDS and MDCTA united image location technology 93.33％ respectively.The HHD group showed significant decrease compared with the other groups (x2 =7.92,P ＜ 0.01; x2 =6.15,P ＜ 0.05; x2 =12.54,P ＜ 0.01,respectively).The CDS group had no statistically difference with the MDCTA group (P ＞ 0.05).The united CDS and MDCTA group showed significant increase compared with the other groups (x2 =4.22,P ＜ 0.05; x2 =3.94,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion CDS and MDCTA united image location technology are more accurate for perforator preoperative location in auterolateral thigh flap,and should be widely used.
