Objective To know the relationship of anxiety and feelings of control during labour among primiparae.Methods Selected 90 primiparae from the July 2007 to September 2007,investegated anxiety condition and feelings of control during labour of them by related questionnaire and scales,and then analyzed the relationship between them.Results The anxiety score among the 90 primiparae was significant higher than that of in normal women.There was a negative correlation between the anxiety and feelings of control during labour among the primiparae.Conclusions Lower feelings of control indicats higher anxiety in labour among primiparae.

Background The characteristics of anisometropic amblyopia in ocular morphology are becoming a hot topic in amblyopia field.And the interocular difference in corneal parameters of anisometropic amblyopia is to be understood here.Corneal topography is a non-invasive method for in vivo corneal examination and applied in our study.Objective This study was to investigate the interocular difference of corneal topography in anisometropic amblyopic patients Methods This was a serial cases observation.Thirty anisometropic amblyopes were selected in Center for Optometry and Visual Science,People's Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.The patients were divided into amblyopic eye group and fellow eye group based on the best corrected distance visual acuity.Corneal topography was examined with Orbscan Ⅱ z,and corneal morphological parameters such as Diff values of the anterior and posterior corneal surface,Sim K 's astigmatism,Kmax,angle kappa and central corneal thickness (CCT) were measured.The interocular differences in these parameters were evaluated by paired t test,and the correlations in these parameters between the amblyopic eyes and the fellow eyes were analyzed by Pearson linear correlation and simple regression analysis.Results The Diff values of the anterior corneal surface were (0.011±0.006)mm and (0.011±0.017)mm,and those in the posterior corneal surface were (0.031 ±0.012)mm and (0.026 ±0.008)mm in the amblyopic eye group and the fellow eye group,respectively.In addition,Sim K's astigmatism were (1.8± 1.1)D and (1.1 ±0.6) D,JCC were (77±80) °and (100±80) °,J0 values were (-0.17±0.72) D and (0.02±0.41) D,J45 values were (-0.16±0.79) D and (0.13 ±0.48) D,CCT values were (551 ±37) μm and (551 ±31) μm,angle kappa values were (6.4± 1.4) ° and (4.9 ± 1.2) ° in the amblyopic eye group and the fellow eye group,respectively.Significant differences were found in the Diff values of the anterior and posterior corneal surface,Sim K's astigmatism and angle kappa between the two groups (t=-3.041,P=0.005 ;t=-4.317,P=0.000 ;t=-4.571,P=0.000).Pearson's linear correlation test demonstrated significant interocular positive correlations in parameters such as the anterior corneal surface Diff values (r =0.444),J0 (r =0.383),posterior Diff values (r =0.600),and Sim K 's astigmatism (r =0.479),and CCT (r =0.948,P＜0.05).The linear regression equation between the two groups was Y =-0.005 +1.392X (R2 =0.197,F=6.858,P=0.014) in the Diff values in the anterior corneal surface,Y =-0.013+0.421X (R2=0.360,F=15.761,P=0.000) in the Diff values in the posterior corneal surface,Y =0.616+0.27X (R2=0.230,F=8.348,P=0.007) in the Sim K's astigmatism,Y=0.060+0.219X (R2 =0.147,F=4.814,P=0.037) in theJo and Y=i08.289+0.804X (R2 =0.899,F=250.293,P=0.000) in CCT.Conclusions Corneal morphological interocular differences exist significantly in anisometropic amblyopic patients.

Visual perceptual learning refers to the special improvement of perceptual performance benefit from repetitive training with a visual task.A typical time course of visual perceptual learning presents an initial rapid improvement,and then gradually processes like an asymptote in gain.During the process of perceptual learning,the influence of critical amount and perceptual learning rules on learning effect,memory consolidation and interference,and the role of sleep on preventing interference and promoting consolidation in perceptual learning,all get involved.This article reviewed the aforesaid content and then elaborated some strategies in application of visual perceptual learning in the treatment of amblyopia.

AIM:To explore the promoting action of chloroquine on the anti-proliferation effect of dexametha-sone on acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells .METHODS:CCK-8 assay was used to assess the viability of the dexametha-sone-resistant human acute lymphoblastic leukemia CEM-C1 cell line treated with the combination of chloroquine and dexa-methasone .Western blotting , quantitative real-time PCR and LysoTracker Red staining were utilized to examine the mecha-nism.RESULTS:Combination of chloroquine and dexamethasone significantly inhibited the proliferation of CEM -C1 cells compared with control group (P<0.01).The combination of chloroquine and dexamethasone increased the abundance of glucocorticoid receptor and inhibited lysosomal function , while lysosomal inhibitor bafilomycin A 1 also increased glucocorti-coid signaling .CONCLUSION:Dexamethasone combined with chloroquine triggers an anti-proliferation effect on CEM-C1 cells via a lysosome-mediated pathway .

Objective To investigate the modified fixation method in clinical use of intravenous indwelling needle.Methods 100 cases of patients with venous indwelling needle in our hospital emergency center were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 50 cases in each.The control group used conventional method of fixation,while the observation group was given modified method of fixation.The fixation effect of the 2 groups was compared.Results In the observation group,48 cases was with normal extubation,2 cases with abnomal extubation; while in the control group,35 cases was with normal extubation,15 cases with abnormal extubation.The comparison between the two groups showed statistically significant difference.Conclusions In the process of clinical use of intravenous indwelling needle,the modified fixation method is superior to conventional fixation method,which is worthy of clinical use.

Objective To evaluate the effects of ischemic postconditioning on brain injury induced by myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) in diabetic rats.Methods Diabetes mellitus was induced by intraperitoneal streptozotocin 60 mg/kg and confirmed by blood glucose level ＞ 16.7 mmol/L.Thirty male Sprague-Dawley rats,weighing 220-280 g,in which diabetes mellitus was successfully induced,were randomly allocated into 3 groups (n =10 each) using a random number table:group sham operation (group S),group I/R and group ischemic postconditioning (group P).Myocardial I/R was induced by occlusion of the anterior descending branch of the left coronary artery in I/R and P groups.Group P received 3 cycles of 10 s reperfusion followed by 10 s ischemia at the end of myocardial ischemia.The rats were sacrificed at 120 min of reperfusion and the brains were removed for microscopic examination and for determination of cell apoptosis (by TUNEL) and expression of interleukin-6 (IL-6),IL-8,IL-10,glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (GSK-3β) and phosphorylated GSK-3β (pGSK-3β) (by immuno-histochemistry).Apoptotic index was calculated.Results Compared with group S,apoptotic index was significantly increased,IL-6 and IL-8 expression was up-regulated,and IL-10 and pGSK-3β expression was downregulated in I/R and P groups (P ＜ 0.01).Compared with group I/R,apoptotic index was significantly decreased,IL-6 and IL-8 expression was down-regulated,and IL-10 and pGSK-3β expression was up-regulated in group P (P＜0.01).There was no significant difference in GSK-3β expression among the 3 groups (P ＞ 0.05).The pathologic changes were significantly attenuated in group P as compared with group I/R.Conclusion Ischemic postconditioning can attenuate brain injury induced by myocardial I/R in diabetic rats,and inhition of activity of GSK-3β may be involved in the mechanism.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the cost and effectiveness of Shenmai injection and Salvianolate for injection in adjuvant treatment of coronary heart disease with heart failure. METHODS:In prospective randomized controlled clinical study,103 pa-tients with coronary heart disease with heart failure were randomized into 2 groups:55 patients in group A received Shenmai injec-tion 50 ml added into 5% Glucose solution 250 ml intravenously on the basis of routine treatment,once a day;48 patients in group B received Salvianolate for injection 200 mg added into 5% Glucose solution 250 ml intravenously on the basis of routine treatment,once a day;treatment course lasted for 2 weeks. The improvement of clinical indicators and ADR were observed before and after treatment;2 drug treatment programs were evaluated and analyzed with pharmacoeconomics. RESULTS:Total effective rates of group A and B were 89.09% and 72.92%,with statistical significance(P<0.05);the incidence of ADR in group A and B were 9.09% and 12.50%,there was no statistical significance(P>0.05). The cost-effectiveness ratio of group A was significantly lower than that of group B,with statistical significance(P<0.05);the results of sensitivity analysis was consistent with it,indicat-ing the cost of Shenmai injection was in low level. CONCLUSIONS:Shenmai injection is more economic in adjuvant treatment of coronary heart disease with heart failure.

Objective To study the clinical characteristics, treatment methods and prognosis of primary gastrointestinal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PGI-DLBCL). Methods The clinical data of 40 patients with PGI- DLBCL were retrospectively analyzed. All the cases had received surgery treatment. Results In 40 patients with PGI-DLBCL, the major clinical presentation included abdominal pain in 15 cases (37.5%), abdominal mass in 6 cases (15.0%), abdominal discomfort in 5 cases (12.5%), abdominal distension in 5 cases (12.5%), and hematemesis in 5 cases (12.5%). Fifteen cases were misdiagnosed as gastric cancer, 5 cases as colon cancer, and 4 cases as digestive tract ulcer. The misdiagnosis rate was 60.0% (24/40). The survival rates of 1- , 2- and 3- year were 62.3%, 57.5% and 52.6%. The univariate analyses result showed that the clinical stage, international prognosis index (IPI) and treatment method were associated with survival rate (P<0.01), but the gender, age and disease distribution were not associated with survival rate (P > 0.05). The 3-year survival rate of clinical stage Ⅰ - Ⅱ was significantly higher than clinical stageⅢ-Ⅳ(68.0%vs. 13.3%), the 3-year survival rate of IPI 0-2 scores was significantly higher than 3 - 5 scores (66.7% vs. 7.6%), and the 3- year survival rate of surgery combined with postoperative chemotherapy was significantly higher than simple surgery (75.0%vs. 20.0%), there were statistical differences (P<0.01). Conclusions The patients with PGI- DLBCL have no obvious clinical manifestions and a higher misdiagnosed rate. Modified IPI, clinical stage and surgery combined with postoperative chemotherapy are the influencing factors of prognosis.
