OBJECTIVETo summarize and analyze rules for acupoint selection and prescription composition in clinical literature regarding acupuncture for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
METHODSCHKD, VIP and Wan-fang databases were retrieved. The clinical literature data included in the study was collected. The descriptive statistical analysis was conducted on the main acupoints, main meridians of main acupoints, distribution of main acupoints, application of special points and rules for acupoint composition.
RESULTSFifty-two articles were included, involving 55 main acupoints with a total frequency of 375. The most frequent acupoints of acupuncture for PCOS were Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Guanyuan (CV 4), Zigong (EX-CA 1), Zhongji (CV 3) and Qihai (CV 6). The meridians of main acupoitns were conception vessel, spleen meridian of foot-taiyin and stomach meridian of foot-yangming. The main acupoints were distributed in the lower abdomen, lower limbs and back. In the special points, the use of front-mu points, five-shu points and back-shu points was more frequent. The prescription was usually consisted of 5 to 7 acupoints, (6. 9 ± 3. 6) acupoints in average.
CONCLUSIONIn the modern treatment of acupuncture for PCOS, Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Guanyuan (CV 4), Zigong (EX-CA 1), Zhongii (CV 3) and Qihai (CV 6) are most used. With the theories of meridian and zang-fu as essential references, the acupoint selection is based on disease differentiation and meridian circulation. Additionally, the methods for selecting the adjacent points and the distant points are adopted.

Objective To evaluate the diagnosis and treatment of hepatic cystic echinococcosis with biliary complications. Methods 284 patients with hepatic cystic echinococcosis (CE) with biliary complications were surgically treated from January 2002 to January 2009 in our hospital. A summary of the surgical procedures was categorized and compared in the current study. Results (1) Intrabiliary rupture of CE with obstructive jaundice and (or) inflammation of bile duct (51 patients). The diagnosis of biliary complications of hepatic hydatid cyst was difficult on ultrasound and CT, with sensitivity rates of 78.4% and 85.7%, respectively. MRCP was an effective, noninvasive and useful diagnostic tool in difficult cases; ERCP was used as the gold standard in confirmation. Biliary fistulae were seen in 3 patients (10.7%) treated by suturing the rupture site. In the non-sutured group, 17 patients (74%) developed biliary fistulae after surgery (P<0.01). In three patients the fistula was a high-output type (the fistula output was greater than 250 ml/d). (2) CE communicated with the bile duct and (or) infection (210 patients): The cavity-related problems and draining time in group C (no bile duct exploration and decompression) were significantly higher than group A (biliary system explored and decompressed through the cystic duct) and group B (biliary system explored and decompressed through the common bile duct), while cavity-related problems and draining time between the A and B groups showed no significant difference. Biliary tract-related problems in group A was significantly lower than group B (P<0. 05). Conclusions (1) MRCP was an effective, noninvasive and useful diagnostic tool; ERCP was used only as the gold standard in confirming intrabiliary rupture of liver cystic hydatid disease, and also as an effective technique for treating extended postoperative external biliary fistula. (2) This study indicated that suturing the communication at the rupture site and biliary decompression were effective with low morbidity and mortality rates. (3) Cholangiography and common bile duct exploration through the cystic duct could solve the cavity-related problems while avoiding the T-tube related problems.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2010;30(1):40-42
Mugwort leaf is the traditional herb being used for moxibustion. Although its place of production and the course of making Mugwort floss have been described in detail, there is no unified standard about the quality and processing of Mugwort floss until now, which seriously affect on the popularity and application of moxibustion. In accordance with the real herb of Mugwort leaf and floss as well as its processing and quality judgment, this paper thoroughly analyze the related data including ancient documents, modern research results and clinical applications. The authors consider that the Mugwort floss in the market is lack of regulations for its processing, and it needs to be discussed the way to judge the quality of Mugwort leaf by volatile oil, suggesting that the further study on the quality control of Mugwort leaf and floss has to be carried out from multiple aspects, such as physical attributes and chemical characteristics.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2019;35(6):370-374
Objective To derive the general equation of the probability distribution of identity by state
(IBS) score among biological full sibling pairs by calculating STR allele frequency. Methods Based
on the Mendelian genetics law and the hypothesis that parents of biological full siblings(FS) were unrelated individuals, the IBS score and corresponding probability of different genotype combinations in the offspring when unrelated individuals of different genotype combinations give birth to two offsprings were derived. Results Given fi (i=1, 2, …, m) as the frequency of the ith allele of a STR locus, the probability of sharing 2 alleles(p2FS), 1 allele(p1FS) or 0 allele (p0FS) with biological full sibling pairs on the locus can be respectively expressed as follows: p2FS= 14 ×[1 + 2∑im= 1 fi2 + 2(∑im= 1 fi2)2 -∑im= 1 fi4] , p1FS= 12 ×[1 +∑im= 1 fi2 - 2(∑im= 1 fi2)2 - 2∑im= 1 fi3 + 2∑im= 1 fi4] and p0FS= 14 ×[1 - 4∑im= 1 fi2 + 2(∑im= 1 fi2)2 + 4∑im= 1 fi3 -3∑im= 1 fi4] . The sum of p2FS, p1FS and p0FS must be 1. As for the multiple genotyping system that contained n STR loci, IBS scores between biological full sibling pairs conform to binomial distribution:IBS~B(2n, π1). The population rate π1, can be given by the formula:π1= 1n∑ln= 1 p2FSl + 21n∑ln= 1 p1FSl . Conclusion The alternative hypothesis in biological full sibling testing is that two appraised individuals are biological full siblings. The probability of the corresponding alternative hypothesis of any STR locus
combination or IBS score can be directly calculated by the equations presented in this study, and the
calculation results are the basis for explanations of the evidence.
