Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(06):-
Objective To describe the diagnosis and preoperation evaluation of pancreatic carcinoma with spiral CT three-phase contrastenhanced scan and post-processing.Methods Three-phase helical CT enhanced scan and post-processing images of 41 patients with pancreatic carcinoma were retrospectively analyzed, including the location, size, characteristic of tumor and peripancreatic blood vessels, the results were compared with that of surgery. Results Low degree of enhancement of pancreatic carcinoma in pancreatic phase was showed compared with parenchymal phase. There was significant difference in density between focus and normal pancreas, the lesions were showed clearly. In comparison with surgical results, the diagnostic accuracy of CT was 80.7% and the accurate rate in evaluating the metastasis was 75.8%.Conclusion Three-phase helical CT enhanced scan and postprocessing are of great value in diagnosis of pancreatic carcinoma and it is helpful in choosing the treatment program preoperatively and assessing the respectability of tumors.

OBJECTIVE:To establish an HPLC method for the content determination of oxaliplatin in Oxaliplatin liposome. METHODS:The separation was performed on Hypersil C18(250 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m) column with methanol-water(5 ∶ 95,V/V) as mobile phase at flow rate of 1.0 mL?min-1. The detection wavelength was set at 250 nm and column temperature was 30 ℃. RESULTS:The linear range of oxaliplatin was 12.2~122.0 ?g.mL-1(n=5,r=0.999 9) with an average recovery of 98.58%(RSD=1.83%). The limit of detection(LOD) was 97.6 ng?mL-1. CONCLUSION:The method is simple, sensitive and accurate for the content determination of oxaliplatin in Oxaliplatin liposome.

Objective To investigate the effects of electroacupuncture of different stimulation waveforms on the 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), glutamic acid (Glu) and gamma-aminobutyric acid (CABA) contents of the hypothalamus in rats with para-chlorophenylalanine (PCPA)-induced insomnia and explore the difference in the effects and the mechanism of its action. Methods Fifty SD rats were randomly allocated to a normal group of 10 rats, a model group of 10 rats and an electroacupuncture group of 30 rats. The electroacupuncture group was then randomly divided to electroacupuncture groups 1, 2 and 3, 10 rats each. A rat model of insomnia was made using PCPA in all groups of rats except the normal group. All the electroacupuncture groups received electroacupuncture treatment. Of them, electroacupuncture group 1 received sparse wave treatment; electroacupuncture group 2, dense wave treatment;electroacupuncture group 3, sparse-dense wave treatment. After 6 days of treatment, every group of rats was sacrificed by cervical dislocation. The 5-HT, Glu and CABA contents of the hypothalamus were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results The 5-HT content of the brain decreased significantly in the model group of rats compared with the blank group (P<0.01) and increased significantly in electroacupuncture group 3 of rats compared with the model group (P<0.01). There was a statistically significant difference in brain 5-HT content between electroacupuncture group 2 or 3 of rats and electroacupuncture group 1 (P<0.05,P<0.01) and between electroacupuncture groups 3 and 2 of rats (P<0.01). The Glu and CABA contents of the cerebral cortex and the ratio of Glu/CABA increased significantly in the model group of rats compared with the blank group (both P<0.01) and decreased significantly in electroacupuncture group 3 of rats compared with the model group (both P<0.01). There were statistically significant differences in the Glu and CABA contents of the cerebral cortex between electroacupuncture group 2 or 3 of rats and electroacupuncture group 1 ((P<0.05,P<0.01) and between electroacupuncture groups 3 and 2 of rats (P<0.01). Conclusions Electroacupuncture can regulate hypothalamic monoamine neurotransmitter 5-HT content and amino acid neurotransmitters Glu and CABA contents and reduce intracerebral amino acid toxicity to produce a therapeutic effect on insomnia in insomnia rats. The therapeutic effect of sparse wave electroacupuncture is superior to that of dense wave or sparse-dense wave electroacupuncture.

0.05). Conclusion Enough high-purified LECs can be isolated by collagenase digestion procedure followed by immunomagnetic beads sorting. Post-thawed endothelial cells are proved to have high vitality and growth potential in vitro without significant morphological changes. Cryopreserved LECs may serve as a cell choice for research of lymphangiogenesis and lymphatic patterning.

International Eye Science 2008;8(10):1959-1962
AIM: To explore the skills and characteristics of corneal neovascular model in rat induced by micropocket assay. ·METHODS: Nine eyes of nine Sprague-Dawley rats were studied. Pellets made of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), poly-2-hydroxylethylmethacrylate and sucralfate were implanted into the corneal stroma nocloser than 1mm from the limbus. Biomicroscopic features of corneal neovascular were observed on 1,3, 5, 7th day after the implantation. ·RESULTS: On day 1 after operation, the limbal vessels were dilated, with no angiogenesis appeared. On day 3, angiogenesis began to invade peri-cornea with a brush shape, the area of CNV was (2.23±0.59) mm2. On day 5, new vessels reached the lower margin of pellet densely, the area of CNVwas (6.81±1.35)mm2. On day 7, new vessels continued to elongate, parts of them extended as loops toward the pellet, the area of CNV was (8.92± 1.79)mm2. Neither hyphema or other complications occurred.·CONCLUSION: Corneal neovascular induced by micropocket assay in rat grows steadily, with no complication, and is suitable for quantitative researches.

Objective To observe the effect of coronary artery disease on QT dispersion (QTd). Methods The QTd and QTcd in 245 patients underwent percutaneous coronary angiography (CAG) were analyzed. It was evaluated The relations between the QTd and the degree of coronary stenosis and the number of disease vessels. Results The QTd and QTcd were significantly prolonged in patients with coronary artery stenosis than those in patients with normal coronary artery(P0.05). Conclusion There is no relation between the number of disease coronary artery and the QTd.

Objective:To investigate the inhibitory effect of selective angiotensinⅡtype 1 receptor antagonist ZD7155 on pancreatic cancer xenografts of nude mice. Methods:Sixty nude mice were given subcutaneous injections of PaTu8988s cells to establish the pancreatic cancer xenograft models;then the animal models were evenly randomized into 3 groups:low-dose (10 mg?kg~(-1)?d~(-1))ZD7155,high-dose(20 mg?kg~(-1)?d~(-1))ZD7155 and normal saline groups.Ten mice in each group were sacrificed 10 d after treatment and the tumor sizes and body weights were measured. The microvessel density(MVD)was assessed by immunostaining of endothelial cells for CD31 and the cell apoptoses were observed by transmission electron microscope.Another thirty mice were treated for 30 days;the survival period of mice and toxicity of ZD7155 were observed till the 49th day of treatment. Results:Ten days after treatment, the mean tumor volumes in the control,low-dose and high-dose groups were(35.8?6.7)cm~3,(21.5?6.1)cm~3 and (10.7?4.1)cm~3,respectively(P
