Objective:To retrospectively analyze the routine clinical laboratory parameters for hepatocellular carcinoma,in an attempt to search for parameters for diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:The pre-operation clinical labo- ratory data,such as tumor makers,and serological biochemical indices,hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection markers,and HBV DNA titers,were collected from 828 patients who were pathologically diagnosed as having HCC;then the correlation between these data with tumor size and the pathological grades of HCC was analyzed.Results:It was found that 97.9% of the 828 pa- tients were infected with HBV and 70.9% of them were accompanied by liver fibrosis.We also found that the tumor size was correlated with albumin(ALB),globulin(GLB),A/G,aspartate aminotransferase(AST),ratio of aspartate to alanine amin- otransferase(AST/ALT),gamma-glutamyl transferase(GGT),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),alpha-L-fucosidase(AFU),al- pha-fetoprotein(AFP)and tumor grades;meanwhile,the pathological grades of tumor was correlated to prealbumin(PALB), GGT and tumor size(all P

Background The alteration of dominance eye is associated with visual quality in patients with age-related cataract or after cataract-surgery.However,the study on the relationship of dominance eye shift with vision following cataract-surgery is lack.Objective This study was to observe the influence of age-related cataract and cataract surgery on ocular dominance in the elderly.Methods A serial cases-observational study was designed.Eighty-seven patients with age-related cataract were collected from December 2011 to April 2012 in Affiliated Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University,and phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens (IOL) implantation was performed in all the patients.The patients were grouped into binocular vision difference (best corrected distance vision) ≥2 lines group (42 patients) and ≤ 1 line group (45 patients) on the standard logarithmic visual acuity chart.The frequency and shift of dominant eye were determined by card-hole method or thumb method before operation and 1 day,1 week,1 month and 3 months after operation.The difference in the frequencies of dominant eye between before and after operation was analyzed with MecNmar test.Results The median of best corrected distance vision (LogMAR) was 0.40 (0.00-1.40) in preoperation and 0.00 (-0.08-0.30) in postoperation,with significant difference between them (Z=-9.481,P =0.000).In the binocular vision difference ≥ 2 lines group,the dominant eyes were 24 in the right eyes and 18 in the left eyes.The milder cataractous eyes were identified as dominant eyes in 33 (78.57％) patients and heavier cataractous eyes were determined as dominant eyes in 9 (21.43％) patients before operation.However,the right eye was evidenced as dominant eye in 31 patients and the left eye was in 11 patients after operation.In the 42 patients,dominant eye shifted from the left eyes to the right eyes in 10 patients and from the right eyes to the left eyes in 3 patients,and 4 patients presented an unstable change binocularly.In 45 patients of the binocular vision difference ≤ 1 line group,the dominant eyes were the right eyes in 27 patients and the left eyes in 18 eyes in preoperation ; while after operation,dominant eye altered form the left eyes to the right eyes in 3 patients and form the right eyes to the left eyes in 1 patient,and unstable change occurred in 5 patients.There were no significant differences in the frequency of dominant eyes between before and after operation both the two groups (group A:P =0.092 ; group B:P =0.727).Conclusions Age-related cataract impact on eye dominance.Dominance eye may occur alteration binocularly following cataract surgery,which is one of causes of visual discomfort.

Objective To analysis the clinical features of elderly diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection and their prognostic factors.Methods 250 cases of DLBCL were retrospectively studied by in situ hybridization (ISH) to detect the EBV and by immunohistochemical to evaluate the histological type and Ki-67 protein.Results 36 cases with EBVpositive included 28 elderly (aged ≥ 60 years), of which 21 cases were Han, 15 cases were Uygur, male/ female ratio was 2 : 1.There were 23 cases with nodal presentation only, 13 cases with extra-nodal presentation.Twenty-nine patients presented with advanced disease (Ann Arbor stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ), 30 patients were found with high lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), 22 patients with high IPI score (3-5).Histological observation showed a diffuse and polymorphic proliferation of large lymphoid cells with varying degrees of reactive components.These tumor cells were frequently characterized by a broad range of B-cell maturation, containingcentroblasts, immunoblasts, and Hodgkin-and Reed-Stemberg (HRS)-like giant cells.Immunohistochemical studies showed that tumor cells were positive for CD20 and (or) CD79a in almost cases, most of the cases had a high proliferative index.CD10, bcl-6, Mum-1 performed histological type, 31 cases were non-germinal center.Except the age and location (P ＜ 0.05), no other significant differences were observed in Han and Uygur elderly EBV+ DLBCL (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The incidence of elderly EBV+ DLBCL is low, it has some unique clinical and pathological features with poor prognosis.

Objective Resarech on the correlation between serum tumor markers CA19-9,CEA,CAS0 and the early diagnosis and staging of pancreatic cancer.Methods To compare the serum levels of the CA19-9,CEA,CA50 in 51 patients with pancreatic cancer,10 benign tumor patients and 12 chronic pancreatitis patients admitted to the Department of general surgery,Anhui Provincial Hospital from January 2013 to October 2015.Results CA19-9 expression in different stages of pancreatic cancer and other pancreatic diseases were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05).The difference of CEA and CA50 expression in pancreatic cancer and other pancreatic diseases was statistically significant (P＜0.05).But the CEA in stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅱ,stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅲ,stage Ⅱ and stage Ⅲ patients with clear expression of the difference was not statistically significant (P ＞ 0.05).The was no significant difference in the expression of CA50 in pancreatic cancer stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ (P ＞ 0.05).The positive rate of CA19-9 in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer was higher than that of CEA and CA50.The positive rate of CA19-9,CEA,CAS0 and were the highest in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.Conclusions The expression levels of CA19-9,CEA and CA50 in serum have a certain relevance to the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer,and the value of CA19-9 is the highest in the stage of pancreatic cancer.

Objective To explore the impact of Th17 cells adoptive immunity on tumor growth of diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL)-bearing mice.Methods The CD4+ CD62L+ na(i)ve T cells purified by Mini MACS immunomagnetic beads were stimulated under the condition of TGF-β, IL-6, anti-IFN-γ, anti-IL-4, IL-23.IL-17 expression was detected by ELISA.SCID mice were inoculated with DLBCL cells line SUDHL-4 to estaldish the model of DLBCL-bearing mice, and then they received Th17 cells adoptive immunotherapy at the 0, 8 th or 18th day (3 groups in total, 5 mice pre-group).The tumor volume and the survival of tumor model were observed.Results Formation of tumor nodules in mice was observed at about the 8th day after the mice received the Th17 SUDHL-4 cells.The tumors volume of DLBCL-bearing mice that had received Th17 cells adoptive immunotherapy was obviously smaller than that of the mice had not (P ＜ 0.05).The survival time of the tumor-bearing mice that had received Th17 cells adoptive immunotherapy was also longer than that of the tumor-bearing mice had not (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Th17 cells adoptive immunotherapy displays an anti-tumor effect on DLBCL-bearing mice.

Objective To summerize the clinical experience of 23 cases of carotid cavernous fistula(CCF) and discuss the treatment strategy. Methods Retrospectively analyzed 23 patients(11 males and 12 females) of CCF,including 14 patients with Barrow type A,1 with type B,1 with type C and 7 with type D. Results Vascular approach for embolization was undertaken in 20 cases by transarterial access and 2 via venous route while 1 case was given up. Among them,9 cases obtained complete occlusion by simple balloon embolization and 5 were treated by direct occlusion of internal carotid artery. Another 5 cases used NBCA glue for the occlusion,1 case was embolized by gelatin-sponge particulates combined with compression of carotid artery,2 cases were treated by coil embolization of cavernous sinus and 1 case was only managed by carotid compression maneuver. We achieved satisfactory clinical results with 21 patients cured and 2 patients improved. Conclusion Complexity and refractory are the characteristic of CCF,and endovascular treatment should be the major choice of treatment. (J Intervent Radiol,2006,15: 323-326)

Objective To study sleeping conditions and relevant factors for insomnia in the elderly people aged 60 years and over in the community of Shanghai,China.Methods A cross-sectional study on sleeping condition by questionnaire was conducted among 2789 elderly people aged 60 years and over during July to October 2005 in seven neighborhood committees of Jing'an District,Shanghai,China,with cluster sampling.Results Totally,2304 elderly people completed the study questionnaire with a response rate of 82.61%.Prevalence of insomnia was 14.84% (342/2304) in the elderly.Logistic regression analysis showed that age increasing (OR=1.02),female (OR=2.20),drinking before sleeping (OR=2.98), room light (OR=3.89),noise (OR=1.95),diabetes (OR=1.82),hypertension (OR=1.49),stroke (OR=1.65),osteoporosis (OR=1.76) and number of afflicted chronic diseases (OR=1.43) all were risk factors for insomnia in the elderly (P

Objective The cytotoxic microbial strains isolated from the deep ocean water and sediments were screened,and the secondary metabolites of bioactive fungus c2b were investi- gated.Methods Active bioactive microbial strains were screened using brine shrimp and chro- nic medulla leucocythemia leukocythemia(K562)cell line.The cytotoxic components of fun- gus c2b were isolated by bioassay-guided fractionation and solvent extraction,silica gel col- umn chromatography and preparative HPLC.Their structures were established by pbysico- chemical properties and spectral analyses.The cytotoxicities of compounds were evaluated by SRB method.Results and Conclusion Twenty-nine strains of fungi were isolated.Among them,seven strains showed cytotoxic activities.Six compounds(1～6)were isolated and i- dentified as N-acetyl histamine(1),chrysogine(2),ergosterol peroxide(3),5,8-epidioxy- 24-methylcholesta-6,22-dien-3?-ol(4)cerevisterol(5)and(4E,8E)-N-[(2'R,3'E)-2'-hy- droxy-3'-hexadecenoyl]-1-O-?-D-glycopyranosyl-9-methyl-4,8-sphingadiene(6),respective- ly.Compound 3 and 4 showed median cytotoxicity.

·AIM: To determine the effect of amniotic membrane transplantation(AMT) on the disorders of ocular surface. ·METHODS: From May 2002 to July 2007, twenty patients (20 eyes), who had an previous experienced methods of sorts, including contact lens or tarsorrhaphy, underwent AMT. ·RESULTS: The disorders were healed after the first AMT in 10 eyes (50%) within an average of 20 days after surgery and recurred in 1 eye (10%).·CONCLUSION: AMT is helpful in the treatment of the disorders of ocular surface.
