OBJECTIVE: To review research advances of Mitsugumin-29 (MG29) protein and its relationship with skeletal muscle aging. DATA SOURCES: A computer-based online search of CNKI (http://www.chkd.cnki.net), Duxiu (http://edu.duxiu.com) and SSReader (http://edu.sslibrary.com) with key words of MG29 and skeletal muscle aging in Chinese; Elsevier SD (http:llwww.sciencedirect.com) and Springer Link (http:llspringer.metapress.comlhomelmain.mpx) with key words of MG29, aging skeletal muscle, sarcopenia. In addition, related articles were manually searched.DATA SELECTION: Inclusion criteria: location, structure and function of MG29; MG29 and skeletal muscle aging; MG29 and exercise; related articles aimed to the content with large impact factor. Exclusion criteria: repetitive studies or Meta analysis.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: MG29 has close relationship with skeletal muscle aging.RESULTS: In recent years, extensive researches have been conducted to discover the mechanisms underlying skeletal muscle aging by investigators home and abroad from histology, biochemistry and molecular biology. It is universally accepted that the changes in the cellular homeostatic capacity for Ca~(2+) is a core factor in regulating excitation contraction coupling, and it dynamic balance is the major cause of skeletal muscle aging. MG29, which is located in the membrane of transverse tubule, is a protein that is newly found to modulate Ca~(2+) signal resembling the synaptophysins. Studies have shown that the level of MG29 reduced 50% in old skeletal muscle. Similar phenotypes to aging skeletal muscles have been observed in adolescent muscle null for MG29 which is involved in muscle weakness, increased susceptibility to muscle fatigue, fragmented sarcoplasmic reticulum networks, swollen transverse tubule system, altered calcium sparks, segregated Ca~(2+) reserve and so on. These suggest that MG29 and aging skeletal muscle are closely related.CONCLUSION: It has been confirmed that MG29 is highly correlated with aging skeletal muscle. However, studies concerning MG29 improvement to delay skeletal muscle aging should be conducted subsequently.

[Objective]To investigate curative effect for thoracolumbar burst fractures by the method of vertebral pedicle screw fixation applied in the with transpedicular bone graft,and consider its indications.[Method]Thirty cases of thoracolumbar burst fractures were treated by vertebral pedicle screw fixation combining transpedicular bone graft.Among them 22 were male and 8 were famale,age ranged 18-64.All of cases were single segment fractures.The average height of anterior border was 35% before the operation,the average of Cobb's angle was 26?,the percentage of midsagital diameter was 55%.According to Frankel's neurological function classification,preoperative neurological function was Grade A in 4 cases,B in 8,C in 5,D in 6,E in 7.[Result]All cases were followed up for 6 to 30 months.All patients' pain relieved distinctly,the average height anterior border was increased to 97%,the average of Cobb's angle was 3.5?,the percentage of midsagital diameter was 92% postoperatively,showing significant difference(P

Objective To evaluate CT in the diagnosis of small bowel obstruction in children. Methods Thirty one cases with small bowel obstruction manifestations on CT and plain radiograph were analysed. The age ranged from 9 months to 14 years, male 17 cases, female 14 cases. There were 29 acute small bowel obstructions, and 2 chronic obstruction. Seven cases had history of previous abdominal operation. Results Corred diagnosis was made in 19 cases and 29 cases respectively by plain film and CT. The accurate etiologic diagnosis could be made by CT in 18 cases, including small bowell stone 4 cases, intussusception, 5 localized infection and adhesion 6 intraluminal bowel duplication, 1 congenital umbilical hernia, congenital malrotation of the intestine 1 case.Combined with history of abdominal operation the accurate CT etiologic diagnosis increased to 25 cases.There were 4 CT false negative cases and 2 plain film false negative cases. Conclusion The CT is obviously superior to plain radiograph in detecting strangulation and gas in bowel wall,better dilineating the transitional segment of bowel stenosis thereby demonstrating the case of obstruction which is very helpful for clinical management.

In order to better fulfill the tasks in scientific research, to enable more research projects to become bid winners, to turn out more quality papers, to produce outstanding results, and to further strengthen management and supervision of scientific research, the hospital the authors work with formulated at the end of 1999 "quantitative economic management of research quotas", which was put into effect at the beginning of 2000. An effect analysis of the implementation of the measure in the past three years showed that the desired results were basically achieved, academic advancement and personnel growth were greatly promoted, and the publication of research papers became a key index for evaluating the timely completion of research projects. In future the hospital plans to further improve the policy for rewarding writers of research papers and encourage quality academic papers to be published in key international journals.

Objective To explore the role of clinical pharmacists in nutrition support therapy in the patients with hyperemesis gravidarum. Methods The clinical pharmacist played a positive role in nutrition support care of a patient with hyperemesis gravidarum by analysising disease characteristics and adverse drug reactions, providing suggestion on the selection of fat emulsion and offering an individualized pharmaceutical care. Results The clinical pharmacist recognized the potential risk in nutrition support plan, took modifications timely, and prevented the occurrence of unfavorable clinical outcomes. Conclusion The participation of clinical pharmacists in nutrition support therapy of the patients with hyperemesis gravidarum is beneficial to improve the efficacy and safety of nutrition support and promote the rational use of drugs.

BACKGROUND: The biomechanics of cervical spine is complicated. It is an important way to select the appropriate biomechanical model and research method so as to explore the diagnosis and evaluation mechanism of cervical spine injury and prognosis judgement.OBJECTIVE: To discuss the alternation of cervical biomechanics after the degeneration of cervical disc and the influence of degeneration on cervical stability.METHODS: (1) A three-dimensional finite element model of cervical spine was established from the CT scan images of cervical spine of a healthy male volunteer, Solid-Works2015, HyperMesh and ANSYS11.0. We created a cervical three-dimensional finite element model. To simulate the degenerative disc by modified the mechanical characters and height of the disc model, we observed the biomechanics of the impact on the cervical spine (the range and the stress on intervertabral disc).RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The entire model with a total of 97705 nodes and 372896 elements. Ligament and joint capsule were also constructed. Face to face contact element was used in the facet joint, with complete structure and high accuracy of measurement of spatial structure. (2) The range of motion of cervical spine increased during degeneration compared with normal cervical segments (P < 0.05). (3) Intervertebral disc degeneration caused angle increase at disc and motion segment. Osteophyte formed on vertebral edge. Intervertebral disc degeneration caused cervical instability. Simultaneously, instability increased the disc degeneration.

Objective To evaluate the effect of injection duration on bruising and pain after the subcutaneous injection of heparin.Methods The relevant randomized controlled trials,quasi-randomized controlled trials about subcutaneous heparin injection duration of ≥30 s and ≤ 10 s were searched in the databases of CNKI,CBM,VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals,PubMed,Highwire,ScienceDirect,Chinese Cochrane Library,Wanfang database and Google.The quality of RCTs was assessed and Metaanalysis was conducted by RevMan 5.0 Software.Results Twelve RCTs involving 1 986 injections were included.The results of Meta-analysis showed that:There was significant difference between the two groups in the occurrence of bruising.The injection duration of 30 s was much better to prevent bruising.Statistical differences existed in pain intensity between the two groups.Conclusions Prolonging the injection duration to 30 s may reduce the occurrence of subcutaneous bruising.There is no enough evidence to draw a conclusion on pain intensity.Adequately,the current study is limited to a small sample,powered and high quality randomized controlled trials are still needed to be conducted.

Objective To establish a method for the determination of Bullatine A in Gutongling Babu plaster. Method The Bullatine A was determined by HPLC on Kromasil-C18 column, and the mobile phase consisted of phosphate buffered solution (pH 7.3) - methanol (28∶72), the detection wavelength was 210 nm. Result A good linear relationship of Bullatine A was showed in the range of 0.212 0～4.770 0 ?g (r =0.999 99), and the average recovery was 100.10%, RSD=2.53% (n =6). Conclusion The method is accurate and reliable, and can be used for quality control of Gubitong Babu plaster.

Methods Radionuclide imaging was used to observe the changes of the tibial blood supply after ligation of the nutrient artery in rabbits. Objective To evaluate the usefulness of CT and US in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal involvement in children with rheumatoid purpura. Methods Abdominal CT and US findings in 14 cases of clinical and laboratory confirmed of rheumatoid purpura were analyzed. There were 9 males and 5 females with the age ranged from 6 months to 14 years. All patients was hospitalized because of acute abdominal emergency, and the clinical presentations included paroxysm of abdomen pain, vomiting, without skin rashes and subcutaneous hemorrhage. CT examination was done in 7 cases, and contrast enhancement was performed in 1 case. Abdominal ultrasound was done in 9 cases. Both CT and US were done in 2 cases. Results All patients demonstrated multiple or single areas of bowel-wall thickening, localized intraluminal narrowing, mesenteric edema, and liquid in abdominal cavity by CT and ultrasound. Conclusion Abdominal CT and US examination have important values in differential diagnosis of acute abdominal disorders in children patients with rheumatoid purpura. Before appearing skin rashes, classical picture can help for the diagnosis and clinical treatment. Abdominal CT and US examination can also find the intussusception, bowel obstruction, and perforation in rheumatoid purpura.
