Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 2016;28(4):465-466,469
Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of imported malaria in Hailing District ,Taizhou City,so as to provide the evidence for formulating the effective prevention and control strategy. Methods The network reports, questionnaires and epidemic reports of imported malaria cases in Hailing District from 2010 to 2015 were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Results From 2010 to 2015,totally 46 cases of imported malaria were reported, including 40 cases of falci?parum malaria(86.96%),4 cases of ovale malaria(8.70%),1 case of quartan malaria(2.17%)and 1 case of multi?infection of falciparum malaria and tertian malaria(2.17%). No seasonal trend of time of the disease onset was observed. All the patients were return abroad with clear residence histories in malaria epidemic areas. The average time from disease onset to definite diag?nosis was 2 d and 8 patients were definitely diagnosed within 24 h. All the 46 patients were cured. Conclusion All the malaria cases reported were imported cases in Hailing District in the last five years. Effective prevention and control measures are the key to the malaria elimination.
5.Research advances in cardiac stem cells
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2011;15(49):9299-9302
BACKGROUND: A large amount of studies have demonstrated that stem cells in the heart of mammal participate in heart self-renewal and endogenous repair.OBJECTIVE: To summarize the source, classification, features of cardiac stem cells and application in heart disease. METHODS: A computer-based online search of PubMed database was performed for articles published between January 2000 and December 2010 related to the source, classification, features of cardiac stem cells and its effects on myocardial regeneration with key words cardiac stem cell. Clinical studies and basic studies were all included. Repetitive studies and Meta analysis were excluded. Finally, 32 articles were included.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Cardiac stem cell is a type of stem cells in the heart, with properties of self-renewal and cloning proliferation. It can differentiate into cardiomyocyte and endothelial cell and plays a role in heart injury repair to improve heart function. Cardiac stem cells have been in vitro isolated, cultured and amplified to transplant into animal heart, which lays a foundation for clinical application. However, some questions remain poorly understood as to the homeostasis and dynamic changes, processes involved in their differentiation into heart functioning cells, as well as influential factors and regulation.
6.Effect of 5-azacytidine on expressions of atrial natriuretic peptide and β-myosin heavy chain in cultured rat bone marrow stromal cells
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2010;29(9):761-763
Objective To assess the effect of 5-azacytidine (5-AZ) on the expressions of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and β-myosin heavy chain (β-MHC) genes in cultured rat bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs). Methods Neonatal rat cardiomyocytes and adult rat BMSCs were isolated and cultured. BMSCs were incubated with 5-AZ and (or) myocardiocytes culture medium. RT-PCR was used to measure the expressions of cardiac ANP and β-MHC genes. Results Normally cultured rat BMSCs didn't express cardiac ANP or β-MHC. After inducing by 5-AZ, rat BMSCs expressed ANP or β-MHC. The myocardiocytes culture medium enhanced expression of β-MHC, but didn't affect the expression of ANP. Conclusions The 5-AZ induces the rat BMSCs to express either cardiac ANP or β-MHC, and the former could be enhanced by cardiomyocytes culture medium.
7.Analysis of risk factors for in-stent stenosis in elderly patients with coronary heart disease
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2014;33(6):591-593
Objective To explore the risk factors for in stent stenosis (ISR) in coronary artery disease in elderly patients undergoing postoperative percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods We chose 418 cases undergoing PCI in our hospital. There were 263 males and 156 females, aged from 60 to 79 years, average (71.3--8.9)years in this study.Under the same conditions of treatment strategies,we collected all possible risk factors for ISR in patients undergoing postoperative PCI,and statistics were analyzed. Results All patients were rechecked at 1 year after PCI.104 cases (24.9%) occurred ISR,and 314 cases (75.1%) were diagnosed without ISR.Multiple logistic analysis showed that, and sex had little effect on ISR incidence (P>0.05).Body mass index(OR=9.54,95%CI:6.542~32.154,P=0.002),smoking history(OR=26.01,95%CI:5.532~122.238,P=0.000),hypertension(OR=15.72,95%CI:3.240~76.026,P=0.001),diabetes mellitus(OR=11.98,95%CI2.667~53.835,P=0.001),history of high cholesterol(OR=8.98,8,95%CI2.164~37.283,P=0.003),exercise time (OR 5.63,8,95 % CI2.004 ~ 25.385,P=0.013)had positive correlations with ISR incidence. Conclusions Effective control of risk factors including smoking, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, proper exercise, and weight control can help prevent the development of ISR in elderly patients with postoperative PCI.
8.Applications of functional near-infrared spectroscopy in clinical pediatric
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2014;29(18):1363-1367
Functional near-infrared spectroscopy is a non-invasive optical brain function detection technology, which can do multi-point measurement of changes on cerebral cortical area corresponding to the oxygenation of the blood hemoglobin and deoxygenated hemoglobin concentration, and then reflect the state of brain cortex function. Its greatest advantage is to allow the subjects head moving in a certain range, especially suitable for children. At present this technology could be applied to clinical pediatric, such as epilepsy, autism, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, neonatal disease, neurosurgery and cardiovascular surgery, etc.Functional near-infrared spectroscopy technology will have more applications in the field of research on brain function.
