1.Expression of Bcl-w in gastric carcinoma and associated clinicopathologic factors

Objective To discuss the meaning and association with prognosis of Bcl-w expression in gastric carcinoma. Methods By Immunohistochemistry( SP) method was used to detect the expression of Bcl-w and MMP-2 in 100 cases of human gastric carcinoma. Results (1) Among 100 cases of stomach carcinoma, Bcl-w and MMP-2 positive expression rates were respectively 69. 0% , 77. 0% ; (2) The Bcl-w and MMP-2 expression in gastric carcinoma was positively associated with tumor size, invasive depth, histology differentiation and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05) ;(3)The expression of Bcl-w was significantly correlated with MMP-2 in gastric carcinomas (P =0.002) ; (4) Five years survival rates and overall survival of Bclw-positive patients were lower than the Bcl-w -negative patients. Conclusions (1)Bcl-w plays an important role in inhibiting apoptosis of gastric cancer and promoting gastric cancer invasion; (2) Bcl-w-positive expression patients have a bad prognosis and Bcl-w expression in gastric carcinoma can be regarded as a prognosis evaluation index.
2.Safety of Intra-articular Injection of Bevacizumab in the Knee Joint of Rabbit

Objective To evaluate the toxicity of the intra-articular injection of bevacizumab in the knee of the rabbit.Methods Thirty-two rabbits were divided into 3 experimental groups and normal control group.Three experimental groups were received intra-articular injection of bevacizumab (1, 2, 4 mg respectively) once every three weeks for two times and the normal control group was received the same amount of 0.9% sodium chloride solution.The animals were sacrificed after 6 weeks.Blood test was examined before and after treatment.Pathologic examinations of liver, kidney and artiluar tissue were taken after the sacrifice.The hematoxylin and eosin stain for synovium and cartilage were performed.The AB-PAS stain and Mankin's scale for cartilage were performed.Results All the rabbits kept normal physiological activity.There was no significant difference of major organs and articular tissue between experimental groups and normal control group.There was no significant difference for WBC, RBC, PLT, ALT, BUN and Mankin's scale among all groups.Conclusion No systemic toxicity effects were found for the intra-articular injection of bevacizumab in the knee of the rabbit.
3.Intraarticular injection of bevacizumab in treatment of osteoarthritis:a laboratory research on a rabbit model

Objective:To evaluate the effects of intraarticular injection of bevacizumab、sodium hyalu-ronate (SH)and 0.9% sodium chloride injection in the treatment of osteoarthritis (OA)in a rabbit model.Methods:Twenty-four male rabbits were randomly divided into bevacizumab group,SH group and control group after the model of OA had been made.The bevacizumab group and control group received intraarticular bevacizumab (4 mg)and 0.9% saline injection respectively once per three weeks for 2 times.The SH group received intraarticular SH once a week for 6 weeks.After 6 weeks,the histological examinations of cartilage and synovium,electron microscopy and expression of vasculan endothelial growth factorl (VEGF),for the synovium,expression of MMP-1 ,Mankin’s scale,macroscopic observation for cartilage were performed.Results:The histological observation of the bevacizumab group and the SH group showed that bevacizumab could decrease the synoviocytes and inhibit fibrous hyperplasia in synovial underlayer compard with the control group.Reduced apoptosis of chondrocytes and more integrated struc-ture of matrix and more glycosaminoglycan were also found in the bevacizumab group and the SH group compared with control group.The expression of VEGF and MMP-1 ,Mankin’s scale,macroscopic obser-vation were significantly decreased in the bevacizumab group compared with the SH group and the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Intraarticular injection of bevacizumab and SH can relieve inflammation of OA and alleviate the pathologic process of OA.The Bevacizumab was better than the SH in therapeutic effect,which maybe implicate a better choice for the treatment of OA.
4.Role of plasma immunoglobulin receptor (PIgR/SC) in diagnosis of liver cancer

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of PIgP/SC in diagnosis of primary hepatic cancer.Methods 58 patients with primary hepatic cancer,60 patients with liver cirrhosis and 60 healthy volunteers were studied.4 ml fasting venous blood was collected from all subjects.Serum level of AFP was detected with electrochemical chemiluminescence immunoassay system and plasma PIgR/SC level was detected by ELISA method.The level of PIgR/SC and AFP was detected at one week after surgical resection in patients with hepatic cancer.Results The levels of AFP and PIgR/SC in the three groups were significantly different (P<0.01),and PIgR/SC was higher than that in patients with cirrhosis and volunteers (P<0.01).There was no significant difference between patients with liver cirrhosis and liver cirrhosis(P>0.05).AFP was higher in patients with HCC than patients with cirrhosis and volunteers.AFP was higher in patients with cirrhosis than volunteers,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Sensitivity of PIgR/SC and AFP was 89.3% and 54.8%,specificity was 84.6% and 91%,Youden index was 0.751 and 0.458,AUC was 0.920 and 0.761,respectively.There was significant difference in AUC (Z=3.251,P<0.05) of the two detection indexes for detection of primary hepatic cancer.Conclusion The value of PIgR/SC in diagnosis of primary liver cancer may by higher than that of AFP.
5.Major changes in the Dietary Ration for Military Personnel standard(GJB 826C-2022)and their basis

The Dietary Ration for Military Personnel(GJB 826C-2022)is a new standard formulated after revision of the national military standard-Dietary Ration for Soldiers(GJB826B-2010).The major changes included that:①The daily standards of the ration for different types of stoveswere merged and integrated,and special requirements for food ration and food quality of personnel in special positions such as pilots,divers and those in direct contact with nuclear materials were specified;② The food structure was optimized.The daily standards of ration for grain,animal food,especially livestock and poultry meat were lowered while those for fruit and milk were increased.The requirements for the supply of whole grains were elevated while the proportions of lean meat,beef and mutton,seafood and other animal foods were detailed;③The new daily standards for nuts were added.The new standard could better meet the practical needsof actual combat,underscored dietary quality,and proved to be more user-friendly and practical.It is of great significance for improving the dietary nutrition of troops,creating a new dietary pattern to improve combat effectiveness,constructing a support system for joint military operations,and enhancing the military supply capabilities in China.
6.Clinical analysis of 11 cases multisystem inflammatory syndrome associated with SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant infection in children

Objective:To explore the clinical characteristics, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) related to SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant infection.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data of 11 children with MIS-C, who were admitted to the Department of Pediatrics of Peking University First Hospital from December 2022 to January 2023. Clinical characteristics, treatment, and follow-up of MIS-C were summarized in this study.Results:The 11 cases contained 7 boys and 4 girls, with an age of 4.4 (2.0, 5.5) years on admission. All the patients had fever, with a duration of 7(5, 9) days. Other clinical manifestations included rash in 7 cases, conjunctival hyperemia in 5 cases, red lips and raspberry tongue in 3 cases, lymphadenopathy in 3 cases, and swollen fingers and toes in 2 cases. There were 8 cases of digestive symptoms, 8 cases of respiratory symptoms, and 3 cases of nervous system symptoms. Eight patients had multi-system injuries, and one of them had shock presentation. All 11 patients were infected with SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BF.7 variant. The laboratory examination results showed that all cases had elevated inflammatory indicators, abnormal coagulation function and myocardial damage. Six patients had elevated white blood cell counts, 5 cases had liver function abnormalities, 3 cases had kidney function abnormalities, and 8 cases had coronary artery involvement. All 11 patients received anti-infection treatment, of which 3 cases received only 2 g/kg intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), while the remaining 8 cases received a combination of IVIG and 2 mg/(kg·d) methylprednisolone. Among the 8 cases with coronary artery disease, 6 cases received low molecular weight heparin anticoagulation therapy. All patients were followed up in 2 weeks after being discharged, and their inflammatory markers had returned to normal by that time. The 8 cases with coronary artery disease and 3 cases with pneumonia showed significant improvement or back to normal at the 4-week follow-up. All patients had no new complications or comorbidities during follow-up of more than 3 months.Conclusions:MIS-C may present with Kawasaki disease-like symptoms, with or without gastrointestinal, neurological, or respiratory symptoms. Elevated inflammatory markers, abnormal coagulation function, and cardiac injury contribute to the diagnosis of MIS-C. IVIG and methylprednisolone were the primary treatments for MIS-C, and a favorable short-term prognosis was observed during a follow-up period of more than 3 months.
