Objective:To understand mothers′ benefit finding in caring for thier children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).Methods:By purposive sampling method, eleven mothers who were mainly involved in daily care of their children with ALL were selected. Semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with the 11 mothers. The data were analyzed by content analysis method.Results:Mothers had benefit finding which could be mainly classified into three themes: individual growth, family relationship enhancement, and multi-source society support.Conclusions:Mothers of children with ALL have experienced a sense of benefit finding in the process of caring for their children. Nurses are suggested to help mothers in exploring benefit finding, actively guide and effectively utilize the sense of benefit finding in mothers of children with ALL, so as to alleviate mothers′ adverse psychological state and to promote mothers′ better coordination with follow-up treatment and caring for the children.
