Chinese Journal of Current Advances in General Surgery 2009;0(07):-
Objective:To investigate the protective effects of matrine(MT) preconditioning against hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. Methods:Fifty male SD rats were randomly allocated into 5 groups:sham operation(SO) group,ischemia-reperfusion (NS) group and MT preconditioning groups (of 3.75,7.5,15 mg/kg). Rats of NS and MT groups were injected normal saline or MT,respectively; and 15 min later, the pedicales of the left and median liver lobes were clampped for 45 minutes, and reperfused for 40 min. The portal trial were only separated but not obstructed in SO rats. After reperfusion, the serum activity of ALT,AST and LDH was determined, the activity of SOD and content of MDA in liver tissue were examined, and histopathological changes of liver were observed. Results:Compared with those of NS group, the serum levels of ALT,AST,LDH,and the content of MDA in liver tissue of MT groups were lower, and the activity of SOD was higher(P
2.Application of Pentacam in the cataract surgery
International Eye Science 2015;(8):1358-1362
With the improvement of cataract operation, the cataract surgery has become increasingly perfect. The cataract patients show greater expectation for the result of cataract operation. As a result, refractive cataract surgery has become the main trend. Detailed investigations of corneal diseases, lens density, corneal topography, preferable intraocular lens ( IOL ) choice, and IOL power calculation can help us get a better knowledge of preoperative conditions on patients, which can be conducted with pentacam. So we can have a better forecast of post - operative outcome and improve the quality of vision for cataract patients after surgery.

BACKGROUND:To improve the survival rate of transplanted tissue, most scholars focus on cel therapy, particularly cel-assisted fat grafting.
OBJECTIVE:To analyze the effect of recombinant adenovirus-mediated hypoxia inducible factor 1alpha (HIF1α) mutant on survival rate of transplanted fat particles through transfection of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels.
METHODS:Recombinant adenovirus-mediatedtriple-mutantHIF1αwas inserted into an adenovirus pAdEasy-1 system, folowed by viral packaging and titer determination. Human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels were cultured, passaged and identified, and subsequently transfected with three kinds of viruses and blank vector (experimental group with transfection of the triple mutantof HIF1α;positive control group; negative control group; blank control group). Transfection efficiency was determined using enhanced green fluorescent protein labeling. Additionaly, MTT assay was used to detect cel proliferation.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The recombinant adenovirus was successfuly constructed and packaged in line with transfection requirements. Moreover, adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels were successfuly identified by adipogenic, osteogenic and chondrogenic induction and could be used asseed cels for subsequent experiments. RT-PCR results showed that HIF1α mRNA expression in the experimental group and positive control group was significantly higher than that in the other two groups (P< 0.05). Western blot analysis showed that the relative absorbance value in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the other three groups (P< 0.05). A significant increase in the cel proliferation was found in the experimental group, significantly different from the other three groups (P<0.05). Therefore, our findings indicate that transfection of adenovirus-mediated triple-mutant HIF1α not only can sustain the expression of target protein in transfected adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels under normoxic conditions, but also can promote the proliferation of transfected adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cels.

Purpose:To evaluate the efficiency of mediastinal lymph nodes dissection (MLND) and to determine a reasonable extent of dissection in the treatment of patients with clinical stageⅠ A non small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). Methods:From January 1988 to June 1995, one hundred and forty seven patients with clinical stageⅠ A NSCLC were treated by surgery. All the patients were divided into three groups according to the type of procedure, that is, resection without MLND, resection with selective MLND and systematic MLND. According to their clinical characteristics patients in each group were matched and assigned once again, and 93 cases were enrolled. Survival rates were calculated by Kaplan meier method and survival curves were prepared and survival difference was compared by Log rank test. Results:Survival rates at 5 year of no MLND, selective MLND and systematic MLND groups were 22.6%, 48.4%, and 51.6%, respectively. Survival rates of two MLND groups were higher than that of no MLND group. Log rank test presented significantly statistical difference between them ( P

Journal of Practical Stomatology 1995;0(04):-
Objective:To observed the longitudinal changes of the facial growth in vertical dimension in the Chinese adolescents with normal occlusion from 13 to 15 years old. Methods:The subjects were from Beijing area and consisted of 9 males and 14 females aged 12.5-13.5 years with Class I skeletal and dental pattern and without previous orthodontic treatment. Serial 2-year- annual cephalometric radiographs were taken and digitalized. Descriptive statistics for the absolute and incremental changes of the skeletal cephalometric measurements were conducted. Results:Significant gender differences in the changes of facial growth in vertical dimension from 13 to 15 years old were observed. Most of the skeletal measurements in males showed greater value than those in females. The number of the measurements which showed gender difference increased with age. The annual incremental changes of TAFH, TPFH, LAFH, U6-PP in males and those of TPFH and RH in females from 13 to 14 years old were greater than those from 14 to 15 years, However, the average increment of L6-MP in males and that of UI-PP, LI-MP, U6-PP and OB in females from 13 to 14 years old were smaller than those from 14 to 15 years old. There was no significant gender difference in TAFH/TPFH from 13 to 15 years of age. Gender difference from 14 to 15 years old was found in the growth of dental-alveolar height. The main dento-alveolar height changes happened in lower incisors and lower molars in males and in the region of upper molars and upper incisor in females. Conclusion:The skeletal facial growth in vertical dimension from 13 to 14 year old falls into the accelerating period. After 14 years old, the growth velocity is slowed down. There are significant gender differences in the skeletal changes of facial growth in vertical dimension from 13 to 15 years old. From 14 to 15 years old, the gender differences are mainly found in the growth of the dento-alveolar height.

Objective To observe the findings of 1H magnetic resonance spectroscopy ( 1H MRS) and explore its value for diagnosis of radiation induced-temporal lobe necrosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Methods Thirteen patients with definite clinical diagnosis of radiation induced temporal lobe necrosis in NPC underwent 1H MRS. All 1H MRS examinations were performed on a Singa Horizont 1.5 T whole body MR system with point resolved spectroscopy (PRESS) and chemical-shift selective saturation (CHESS) (TR=2000?ms,TE=144 ?ms). The voxel (2?cm ? 2?cm ? 2?cm) was positioned in both of the lesion and the contralateral side of the temporal lobe as the control (except for bilateral lesions). 2THZ]Results The interval between radiation and the examination ranged from 32 to 172 months ( median, 42 months). Eighteen lesions were observed in 13 patients (5 patients with bilateral lesions). 1H MRS was performed on 17 lesions and 8 control temporal lobes. The mean values of NAA/ Cr in the lesions and the control temporal lobes were 1.33?0.28、1.78?0.34 respectively(t=3.22, P=0.005). Three lesions showed NAA、Cho and Cr peak absent (2 lesions with Lip peak ). Among 8 patients with the control temporal lobes 1H MRS examined, Cho/Cr decreased in 6 patients (75%). Four lesions showed Lip , Lac and MI, respectively. Conclusions The radiation-induced temporal lobe necrosis shows abnormal features on 1H MRS. Significant decrease of NAA/ Cr as well as Cho/Cr are observed in most patients. 1H MRS may play a role in the diagnosis of radiation induced temporal lobe necrosis.
