OBJECTIVE: To investigate the antagonistic effect of Salvia miltiorrhiza on cyclosporine A (CsA)-induced chronic nephrotoxicity. METHODS: 54 patients underwent renal transplantation were divided into 3 groups according to dosage of salvia miltiorrhiza: CsA+high-dose of salvia miltiorrhiza group, CsA+loe-dose of salvia miltiorrhiza group (trial group) and CsA control group (control group). Plasma concentration of CsA, serum creatinine (Scr), blood urea nitrogen (Bun), 24 h urines and 24 h urinary protein were recorded. The parameters of morphology and hemodynamics were compared among 3 groups. The differences of index among 3 groups were analyzed statistically. RESULTS: The level of Scr, Bun and 24 h urinary protein in CsA+high-dose of salvia miltiorrhiza group were decreased significantly while 24 h urines was increased, compared with other 2 groups. There was significant difference among 3 groups (P0.05). The intrarenal blood flow and renal arterial resistance index were increased significantly in CsA+high-dose of salvia miltiorrhiza group. CONCLUSION: High-dose of salvia miltiorrhiza combined with CsA can reduce the CsA-induced nephrotoxicity perfently.

This paper developed one kind of foam dressing of special shape based on local anatomy. The foam dressing is waterproof and air permeable, it can cover the wound closely enough to prevent bacteria from invasion and infection. With a saturated absorption ratio of 1: 8 or higher, it can keep the wound clean and moisture by absorbing large amounts of wound inflammatory secretions and is almost completely permeable to oxygen and carbon dioxide. Assuring safety and effect meanwhile, it has better outcomes than common dressings in the same application settings.

Background Essential hypertension (EH) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are frequently co- existed.Previous studies proved that EH can cause arrythmia,whereas,the arrythmia and the structure changed in hypertensive patients coexisted with T2DM are scarely reported.Objective To study the characteristics and mech- anism of arrhythmia in essential hypertension (EH) patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods One hundred sixty eight patients were groupped as follows:EH group (n=65),T2DM group (n=31),EH+T2DM group (n=52),and normal group (n=20).The clinical data,echocardiographies and 24-hour dynamic eletroear- diogram were determined in all patients.Results 1)Arrhythmia incidence in EH+T2DM group was a statistically higher compared to EH group and T2DM group(P

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical efficacy and safety of nitric oxide (NO) combined with sildenafil in the treatment of neonatal pulmonary hypertension. METHODS:66 cases of neonatal pulmonary hypertension were selected and randomly divided in-to observation group and control group,with 33 cases in each group. 2 groups of patients were given Dopamine injection 5 μg/(kg· min),ivgtt. Control group was given NO 5-20 ppm;observation group received oral or nasal feeding of Citric acid sildenafil tab-lets,0.5-1.0 mg/kg,96 h,on the basis of control group. Both group received 3 d of treatment. Clinical efficacy of 2 groups were observed as well as the level of PaO2,PaCO2,SaO2,PAP,NO,ET-1,HIF-1α,EPO and Ca2+before and after treatment. The inci-dence of ADR was compared between 2 groups. RESULTS:Total effective rate of observation group was 96.97%,which was sig-nificantly higher than that of control group(75.76%),with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the levels of PaO2,PaCO2,SaO2,PAP,NO,ET-1,HIF-1α,EPO and Ca2+between 2 groups before treatment(P>0.05);com-pared to before treatment,PaO2,SaO2,No and Ca2+ levels of 2 groups increased significantly after treatment,while PaCO2,PAP, EPO,HIF-1,ET-1 significantly lowered and the observation group was better than the control group,with statistical significance (P<0.05). No obvious ADR was found in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Sildenafil combined with NO is effective in the treatment of neonatal pulmonary hypertension and can effectively improve pulmonary hypertension and blood gas indexes with good safety.

Total esculentosides and polysaccharides are determined and compared in roots of Phytolacca acinosa Roxb., P. americana L., P. polyandra Bat., P. zhejiongensis W.T. Ean Produced in China.
