2.Developments in the chemotherapy treatment for advanced colorectal cancer
China Oncology 1998;0(04):-
Metastatic colorectal cancer is a major cause of cancer-related mortality. Surgical resection of all known metastatic disease can be curative in selected patients. The majority of patients, however, require systemic chemotherapy as optimal palliative treatment for their disease. For years, effective treatment for advanced colorectal cancer was limited to fluorouracil. In the 1990s,two additional agents, irinotecan and oxaliplatin, were found to have activity against advanced colorectal cancer. Recently, new molecular targeted agents, bevacizumab and cetuximab, were for the first time demonstrated efficacy. Herein,we review recent developments in treatment for metastatic colorectal cancer and implication for optimal treatment in these patients.
3.Research on our hospital inventory management status quo of traditional Chinese medicine drugs and treatment method.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(6):1140-1142
Under the background of the new medical reform, a large variety of traditional Chinese medicine from complicated sources, Chinese traditional medicine of actor of true and false of the quality directly affect the drug safety and clinical efficacy, but also relate to the social and economic benefits of hospital. Along with the development of the modern management of medical institutions and drug circulation circulation system reform in our country, the hospital drug inventory, supply and management work is an important topic for the pharmaceutical trading. However, there is always contradiction, dispensary need to supple pharmacy, in order to satisfy the demands of hospital patients with normal diagnosis and treatment work. However, if the drug inventory is too much, not only increases the drug monitoring problem, at the same time, but also causes storage costs rise. Therefore, completing scientific and reasonable storage and management becomes urgent problems at present. Wherefore, our country administration of traditional Chinese medicine in 2007 promulgated the "Chinese traditional medicine yinpian management norms in hospital", aims to standardize management of Chinese traditional medicine quality and improve the safety of drugs. The author through looking up information and visiting survey, to understand the currently existing problems, and summarizes the literature inland and abroad in recent years Chinese medicine drug inventory management work experience, in view of status quo of Chinese medicine inventory management in China, put forward the solution. To guarantee TCM pharmacy management more standardized, more standard, to adapt to the new reform of Chinese traditional medicine industry, improve the management level of hospital, defend the hospital's reputation and the patient's interests.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2016;49(5):338-341
Objective To evaluate the effect of puerarin on melanogenesis in melanocytes, and to explore its possible mechanisms. Methods Third-to fifth-passage melanocytes isolated from human foreskin were treated with different concentrations (1,5,10,20,40,80 and 160 μmol/L) of puerarin for 24 hours, with those receiving no treatment as the normal control group.Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay was performed to evaluate the proliferative activity of melanocytes,a sodium hydroxide solubilization method was used to measure melanin content, and reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) and Western blot analysis were performed to quantify the mRNA and protein expressions of microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF),tyrosinase (TYR) and tyrosinase-related protein-1 (TRP-1) respectively. Results There were no significant differences in the proliferative activity of melanocytes between the puerarin (1-40 μmol/L) groups and normal control group (P > 0.05),and 40 μmol/L was chosen as the concentration of puerarin for subsequent experiments.Compared with the normal control group, the 40-μmol/L puerarin group showed increased melanin content as well as mRNA and protein expressions of MITF,TYR and TRP-1 (all P < 0.05).Concretely speaking, the protein expressions of MITF,TYR and TRP-1 in the 40-μmol/L puerarin group were increased by 8.69%,10.28% and 10.58% compared with the normal control group respectively (all P < 0.05),and their mRNA expressions were 2.48,1.91 and 1.63 times higher in the 40-μmol/L puerarin group than in the normal control group respectively (all P < 0.05).Conclusion Puerarin can increase the mRNA and protein expressions of MITF,TYR and TRP-1,and promote melanogenesis in melanocytes.

AIM: To explore the molecular mechanism of Radix Ophioponis against vascular endothelial cell (VEC) apoptosis induced by LPS. METHODS: The apoptosis of human umbilical vascular endothelial cells(HUVEC) was induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS). The influence of Radix Ophiopogonis on the expression of bcl-2 and intracellular Ca 2+ was detected by flow cytometry and laser confocal microscope. RESULTS: The serum containing Radix Ophiopogonis suppressed the increase in bcl-2 expression and overloading of Ca 2+ induced by LPS in HUVEC.CONCLUSION: The mechanism of Radix Ophiopogonis against HUVEC apotosis may be related with its regulatory effect on bcl-2 expression and remission of Ca 2+ overloading.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2013;(4):502-504
Objective To evaluate the effect of electric vagal stimulation on myocardial ischemia-reperfu-sion (I/R) injury in rats. Methods Forty-five male Sprague-Dawley rats, aged 4-5 months, weighing 180-220 g,were randomly divided into 3 groups (n =15 each):sham operation group (S group),I/R group, electric vagal stimulation group (EVS group).Myocardial I/R was induced by occlusion of left anterior descending branch of coronary artery for 30 min followed by 120 min reperfusion in I/R and EVS groups. In group EVS,the left cervical vagus nerve trank was stimulated for 30 min with continuous electric pulses (5 V,2 ms,10 Hz) starting from 10 min before reperfusion until 10 min of reperfusion. The animals were sacrificed at the end of 120 min reperfusion and the hearts were removed for determination of the infarct size,TNF-α and IL-6 contents and myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity in myocardial tissues. Results Compared with group S,the infarct size was significantly enlarged, and TNF-α and IL-6 contents and MPO activity were increased in I/R and EVS groups (P < 0.05).The infarct size was significantly smaller,TNF-α and IL-6 contents and MPO activity were lower in EVS group than in I/R group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Electric vagal stimulation can reduce myocardial I/R injury in rats and activation of cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway is involved in the mechanism.
