Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2011;20(7):433-435
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are non-hematopoietic, multipotent progenitor cells which can be isolated from various human adult tissues. In recent years, MSC have been shown to possess broad immunoregulatory function and tissue regeneration. This review discusses mesenchymal stem cells in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, including disorders as diverse as acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease, graft failure, pure red cell aplasia, autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura, hemorrhagic cystitis.

Objective To investigate the influence of different head and neck positions on airway sealing pressure (OLP) with i-gel laryngeal mask airway (LMA) in patients undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia with mechanical ventilation. Methods Thirty ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients of both sexes aged 32-64 yr with a body mass index of 18-30 kg/m2 undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia with LMA were studied.Size 4 i-gel LMA was placed blindly after induction of anesthesia and connected to anesthetic circuit. The criteria for successful placement were easy inflation with small leak, peak inspiratory pressure (PPeak) within normal range and normal PETCO2 wave form.Fiberoptic bronchoscopy was performed to check the position of LMA.OLP,expiratory tidal volume ( VTE ),PPeak and efficiency of mechanical ventilation were measured in different head and neck positions.OLP was measured by gradually increasing airway pressure until PPeak was reached. The measurement was stopped when there was large leak or OLP > 35 cm H2 O.The efficacy of ventilation was evaluated by manually inflating the lungs (perfect:easy inflation,no audible leak; satisfactory:easy inflation, small leak; poor:difficult inflation, large leak). Results Flexion of the head significantly increased OLP and PPeak and decreased VTE,while hyperextension significantly decreased OLP and PPeak and increased VTE as compared with middle position of the head.Lung ventilation was less satisfactory when the head was flexed.Turning the head to either side did not affect ventilation. Conclusion Flexion of the head should be avoided when i-gel LMA is used during anesthesia.

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1995;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the applied value of diffusion tensor tractography(DTT) and visual evoked potential(VEP) for monitoring lumpectomy of lesion adjacent to the optic radiation. Methods Six patients with intracranial lesions adjacent to the optic radiation performed MRI DTT before operation in order to know relationship between the optic radiation and lesion.Neuronavigation was performed and VEP was recorded continuously during the operation. Results Pathological results of specimens showed that 2 cases were astrocytoma(WHOⅡ),1 case was oligodendroglioma(WHOⅡ),1 case was oligodendro-astrocytoma(WHOⅡ),1 case was anaplastic astrocytoma(WHOⅢ~Ⅳ),1 case was cavernous angioma. No patients were found visual deficit and VEP of 6 cases were normal postoperatively. Conclusions Combination neuronavigation with optic radiation DTT preoperatively and neuronavigation with real-time VEP intraoperatively are reliable to monitor the visual function and is helpful to perform neurosurgical planning near the visual pathway to avoid vision postoperative dysfunction.

Chinese Journal of Current Advances in General Surgery 1999;0(03):-
Objective :To investigate expression of E-Cadherin(E-CD) in breast cancer cells and its relationship to clinical and pathological character and to the incidence of tumor cells shed from the surgical field. In an attempt to study more deeply about the mechanisms of invasion and metastasis of breast cancer and give some reference to the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Methods: The expressions of breast carcinoma cells were studied using immunohistochemical methods(ABC methods).Semi-quantitative methods were used to judge the results. For statistical analysis, Chi-square test and the exact probability in 2 ?2 table were used. Results : E-CD positive was located on cell membranes and cytoplasms, mainly on membranes, showing different intensity of brown pellet. Of 52 cases, twenty nine percent retained normal E-CD expression, seventy one percent have reduced or even none expression. E-CD expression has significant correlation with histological grade. Reduced and lost expression rate in Grade 1(36.4%,4/11) were much lower than grade 2(77.8%,28/36)and grade 3(75%,6/8) (p

China Pharmacist 2014;(5):732-734
Objective:To observe the expression of nuclear factor-kappa B( NF-κB) in rats with acute lung injury ( ALI) caused by oleic acid ( OA) and investigate the protective effect of puerarin ( Pue) in ALI. Methods:Twenty-four rats were randomly divided into three groups:the control group, OA group and Pue group. Morphological changes in lung tissues were observed under a light mi-croscope and the expression of NF-κB in lung tissues were examined. Results:Morphological changes in lung tissues showed that pul-monary inflammation was relieved in Pue group compared with that in OA group. Compared with the control group, the expression of NF-κB was increased obviously in OA group (0. 39 ± 0. 07 vs 0. 12 ± 0. 04, P<0. 05), and that was decreased obviously in Pue group (0. 24 ± 0. 05), which was still higher than that in the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion:Puerarin can alleviate the inflammation reaction in ALI through inhibiting the expression of NF-κB.
