Methods: Syndrome elements of 312 cases of hypertensive patients with abnormal results detected by transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TCD) were refi ned, and the correlation analysis was used to study the relationship between the elements syndrome, intracranial blood flow and risk-stratifi cation hypertension patients. Results: There was obvious statistic difference of intracranial blood flow velocity between low-risk group and high-risk group (P
2.New ADR Reported in Our Hospital during 2013-2014:Analysis of 151 Cases
China Pharmacy 2015;(32):4510-4512
OBJECTIVE:To probe into the characteristics and general pattern of new ADR in our hospital. METHODS:A to-tal of 151 new ADR cases reported to Nationwide ADR Monitoring Network by our hospital during 2013 to 2014 were analyzed statistically. RESULTS:Of the 151 ADR cases,males(56.29%)showed higher proportion than females(43.71%);most of ADR cases were induced by anti-infective agents, including 45 cases(29.80%). ADR cases most easily induced by injection and intrave-nous dripping, accounting for 83.44% and 91.39 %,respectively. Lesions of skin and its appendants were most common clinical manifestations of ADR,which accounted for 28.82%(66 cases). There were 10 new and severe ADR cases(6.62%). All of ADR cases were cured or improved. CONCLUSIONS:More attention should be paid to ADR monitoring especially indication of anti-in-fective agent to reduce the occurrence of ADR.

Journal of Integrative Medicine 2010;8(12):1119-23
Osteoporosis is characterized by reduced bone mass and impaired micro-architectural structure, leading to an increased susceptibility to fractures. It is a complex, multifactorial disorder resulting from genetic factors, environmental factors and gene-environment interactions. Currently there are three opinions on the main pathogenesis of primary osteoporosis in traditional Chinese medicine: kidney deficiency, spleen deficiency, and spleen-kidney deficiency, in which disagreement remains. In this paper, the authors combine the modern etiology of osteoporosis to explain scientific connotation of the three opinions, aiming to comprehend the pathogenesis of primary osteoporosis and strengthen the communication between traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, and trying to evaluate the clinical curative effect on osteoporosis.

AIM: Recently,it is widely accepted that atherosclerosis(AS) is an auto-immune related disease and the oxidized-low density lipoprotein(ox-LDL) is the most important AS-related antigen. In order to prevent immune injuries in AS and find new strategies to prevent AS,the immune tolerance of T cells to ox-LDL in vitro was induced in this study.METHODS: Human monocytes were separated from peripheral blood to induce dendritic cells(DCs).DCs were treated with LPS(30 ?g/L),ox-LDL(10 mg/L) and LDL(10 mg/L) for 48 h.Then DCs were mixed with allogenic T lymphocytes to carry out mixed lymphocytes reaction(MLR).CTLA4Ig in different concentrations was added in the MLR of ox-LDL group.MTT method was used to assay the proliferation of T cells and expressed in stimulation index(IS).The CD25 expression and apoptosis of T cells in MLR were tested by flow cytometry. The excretion of IL-2,IFN-? and IL-4 was assayed by ELISpot method.RESULTS: SI in ox-LDL group was higher than that in LDL group significantly(P

Objective To investigate the effects of Dihuang-Yinzi on cognition and energy metabolism of AD (Alzheimer’s disease) mice. Methods 60 Male APPsw/PS1ΔE9 mice were divided into 5 groups model, positive drug (Aricept), high, medium and low dosage of Dihuang-Yinzi. C57BL/6J mice with same age were served as normal control. All groups were orally administrated for 150 days. The spatial memory and passive avoidance were measured. The energy charge, activity of complex I, II and IV of respiratory chain, enzymatic activity of ATPase and mitochondrial membrane potential were assayed. Results APPsw/PS1ΔE9 mice showed significant impairments in cognition and energy production [(0.39±0.02),(3.28± 0.37)μOD/(min?μg),(0.19±0.04)mOD/(min?μg),(0.26±0.03)mOD/(min?μg),(0.19±0.02),(0.30±0.03)、(3.49±0.73)]with compaired to normal control[(0.57±0.06),(8.74±1.57)μOD/(min?μg),(0.43± 0.02)mOD/(min?μg),(0.69±0.02)mOD/(min?μg),(0.65±0.02),(0.51±0.01),(7.41±1.28)]. Dihuang-Yinzi ameliorates cognition decline, promotes acitivity of energy production related enyzmes, and restores mitochondrial membrane potential in AD mice[(0.57 ± 0.07),(8.42 ± 1.74)μOD/(min ?μg),(0.64 ± 0.03)mOD/(min?μg),(0.68±0.04),(0.55±0.01),(6.69±1.03), P<0.01 or 0.05]. Conclusion Dihuang-Yinzi could improve cognition and energy metabolism of APPsw/PS1ΔE9 mice by protecting mitochondria from pathologic injury.

AIM: To observe the effect of Shenmai injection,a chinese medicine,on apoptosis of cardiac myocytes after hypoxia.METHODS: Cardiac myocytes were separated from neonate rat heart and cultivated in vitro.Hypoxia condition was induced by mixture of 95%N2 and 5%CO2.Cells were exposed to hypoxia for 6 h or 12 h and treated with Shenmai injection(5 mL/L) from 24 h before hypoxia until the end of hypoxia.First, apoptosis was detected with Annexin V-FITC and PI staining by flowcytometry. Then, the activity of cardiac myocyte mitochondria was observed by MTT method.Mitochondria membrane potential and the activity of caspase 3,7 were also measured by laser scan microscopy and multi-detection microplate reader, respectively.RESULTS: The apoptotic cells became more and more with prolonged hypoxia.Shenmai injection enhanced mitochondria activity, kept membrane potential, inhibited the activation of caspase3,7 and then decreased apoptotic cells(P

AIM: To study the effect of Tribulus terrestris L. saponin (TTLS) on apoptosis and changes in cytosolic calcium concentration induced by hypoxia/re-oxygenation in rat cortical neurons. METHODS: Rat cortical neurons in primary culture were used, and a apoptosis model was induced by hypoxia/reoxygenation. LDH releasing rate was detected by spectrophotometry. The apoptosis rate of cortical neurons was analyzed quantitatively by flow cytometry with Annexin V-FITC and PI staining. Intracellular free Ca2+([Ca2+]i) was observed with a confocal laser-scanning microscope and determined by mean fluorescent value with Fluo-3 fluometry. RESULTS: Compared to control group, three hours of hypoxia and twelve hours of reoxygenation group induced cortical neuronal apoptosis and significantly increased the intracellular free Ca2+ concentration(P

AIM: The purpose of this study was to investigate the expression of myristoylated alanine-rich C kinase substrate (MARCKS) and p-MARCKS during cerebral ischemia. METHODS: The multi-cerebral infarction model was established by method of Kaneko. The stroke symptoms and signs scoring system were used to evaluate the animal model. Microscope and electronic microscope were used to watch the structure of rat brain. The expression of MARCKS and p-MARCKS was measured by Western blotting. The expression pattern of these proteins was further analyzed for their distribution at cellular level by immunohistochemistry staining of the tissues. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The expression of MARCKS and p-MARCKS protein in acute ischemic brain were elevated compared with the normal and control group (P
