3.Both Heart and Brain as Organs of Spirit:Concept of Heart-brain Integration
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2016;22(3):368-370
The interaction between heart and brain has drawn more and more attention in recent years. The concept of heart-brain inte-gration has been gradually established, which means the interaction in physiology and pathology between the two organs. On the basis of nerve-fluid system, sympathetic nervous system and renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAs) are involved in the modulation of heart and brain. As review of the ancient literature of China, heart and brain were considered as the organs of cognition and behavior, which are the functions of only brain from modern science. Several recent researches supported the opinions of ancient Chinese scholars in some ways.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2015;17(12):1767-1770
Pancreatic cancer is regarded as high malignant neoplasm and surgical resection is considered as the only efficient therapeutic method.Radical surgery includes not only removing the whole carcinoma, but also resecting lymph nodes efficiently. There exist controversies whether extended lymphadenectomy can improve the overall survival of patients currently. We have analyzed and reflected on the controversies on the basis of overseas and domestic research status and our experience.
6.Animal models of human prostate cancer lymphatic metastasis:a review
Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2016;30(3):278-285
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among males in the United states, and the incidence has risen dramatically in recent years in China. Lymph node metastasis is a strong predictor of the metastatic potential and poor outcome of prostate cancer. Animal models of human prostate cancer lymphatic metastasis can be used to study the pathogenesis and metastatic mechanisms of prostate cancer, and evaluate the efficacy of new drugs for lymphatic metastasis of prostate cancer. This paper reviews commonly-used animal models of human prostate cancer lymphatic metastasis, including xenograft mouse models, genetically engineered mouse models, rat models and canine models, analyzes their advantages and disadvantages, presents their functions and characteristics, introduces the applications of cancer stem cells in these models and test methods of these models, and highlights the main problems to be solved.
7.Research progress on circulating tumor cells and their detection in colorectal cancer
China Oncology 2015;25(11):854-860
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors. Though the development of multidisciplinary therapy has largely improved the therapy effects, many patients still died of local recurrence and metastases after surgery. Circulating tumor cell (CTC) originates from primary tumor tissues and has a close relationship with cancer metastases and prognosis. This review summarizes the CTC detection methods and relevant clinical research on CTC in recent years.
8.Therapeutic Observation of Acupoint Application for Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2015;(7):647-649
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint application and moving cupping plus photo ionization treatment apparatus in treating hyperplasia of mammary glands. Method Sixty patients with hyperplasia of mammary glands were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 in each group. The treatment group was intervened by acupoint application and moving cupping plus photo ionization treatment apparatus, while the control group was by oral administration of Tamoxifen and Ru Pi San Jie tablets. The breast pain and lump score was observed before and after 2-month treatment, and the clinical efficacy was compared. Result The breast pain and lump scores were significantly changed in both groups after intervention (P<0.05). After intervention, there was no significant difference in comparing the breast pain and lump score between the two groups (P>0.05). The total effective rate was 96.7% in the treatment group versus 86.7% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Acupoint application plus moving cupping plus photo ionization treatment is an effective method in treating hyperplasia of mammary glands, and it can ease or reduce breast pain, and improve or reduce the lump.
9.Analysis of the genetic homology and resistant genes in clinical isolates of extensively drug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii
Chinese Journal of Infection and Chemotherapy 2015;(1):28-31
Objective To investigate the genetic homology in clinical isolates of extensively drug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (XDRAB),so as to provide evidence for better controlling hospital infections. Methods The genotypes of 28 clinical XDRAB isolates were determined by Enterobacterial Repetitive Intergenic Consensus PCR (ERIC-PCR).PCR was conducted to analyze 9 types of β-lactamase genes (blaKPC,blaIMP,blaVIM,blaNDM-1,blaOXA-23,blaOXA-24,blaOXA-48, blaOXA-51 and blaOXA-58),the outer membrane porin gene (CarO)and insertion sequence (IS)ISAba1.We also carried out linkage analysis for ISAba1-OXA23 and ISAba1-OXA58.Results Most of the above 28 XDRAB strains were isolated from respiratory tract specimens from intensive care patients. The result of ERIC-PCR showed that there was high homology between all the strains, suggesting that they might derive from the same clone. The genes blaOXA-23,blaOXA-51,CarO and the IS ISAba1 except Class Bβ-lactamase genes,blaOXA-24,blaOXA-48,blaOXA-58,ISAba1-OXA23 and ISAba1-OXA58 were detected in all the clinical strains by PCR.Conclusions All the XDRAB isolates belong to the same clone and carry the same drug-resistant genes, indicating that there was clone spread among XDRAB isolates.
