1.The application of hedging in academic medical English papers
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2015;14(10):1012-1015
Hedging is an important component of vague language. This paper retrieves high frequency expressions of hedgingby using medical English corpus. Pragmatic functions of hedging are analyzed, which can be summarized as politeness principle, authors' self-protection, avoidance of the absolute, pursuit of objectiveness as well as conversational implication. To medical researchers, it is necessary to cultivate the awareness of hedging and learn how to adopt it in their research papers.

3.Progress of methotrexate combined with other drugs for treatment of primary central nervous system lymphoma
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2017;26(6):375-379
Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is a rare type of extranodal lymphoma, and its incidence rate is increasing nowadays. Chemotherapy is the main means for treatment of PCNSL and the efficacy of high-dose methotrexate (HD-MTX) has been confirmed among those chemotherapeutics. Treatments of HD-MTX combined with other drugs have been studied extensively. Progress of HD-MTX and other drugs for PCNSL are reviewed in this article.
4.The analysis of the risk factors of the pulmonary fibrosis patients with pulmonary fungal infection
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2011;18(18):2485-2486
ObjectiveTo investigate the risk factors, prevention measures and treatment methods of the pulmonary fibrosis patients with nosocomial pulmonary fungal infection. Methods50 pulmonary fibrosis patients with nosocomial pulmonary fungal infection were chosen as the observation group. In the same time,50 pulmonary fibrosis patients without nosocomial pulmonary fungal infection were chosen as the control group. The following factors were compared: hospital stay, corticosteroid use, antibiotic use, invasive procedures, a merger of the underlying disease.ResultsThere were 46% (23/50) patients had long-term use of antibiotics in the observation group, much more than the control group(26% ,13/50) ,the difference was statistically significant( P <0.05) ;More than half of patients in both groups using glucocorticoids, the ratio in the observation group was 84% (42/50), which was significantly higher than the control group( P < 0.05) ; In the observation group, the rates of patients with long time hospitalization ( ≥30 days), received invasive procedures, and associated with underlying diseases were much higher than the control group( all P < 0.05). ConclusionMultiple risk factors could lead to the occurrence of pulmonary fibrosis patients with nosocomial pulmonary fungal infection, and the positive and effective preventions and standard treatment should be taken.
7.Growth factor in diabetic neuropathy and nerve regeneration
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1981;0(03):-
Diabetic neuropathy is the most common peripheral neuropathy, and it is important to enhance both nerve regeneration and prevent nerve degeneration in its treatment. Disturbed nerve regeneration in diabetes has been ascribed,at least in part,to decreases of some neurotrophic factors or the decreases of their receptor expressions. This paper reviewed the effect of some major neurotrophic factors on diabetic neuropathy and their application in clinical treatment.
8.Effect of AngⅡ on Insulin Gene Expression in RIN-m Cells and Its Molecular Mechanism
China Pharmacist 2015;18(12):2025-2029
Objective:To discuss the effect of AngⅡ on insulin gene expression IN RIN-m cells and its molecular mechanism. Methods:RIN-m cells were cultured and divided into three groups, including the control group, 100 nmol·L-1 AngⅡ group and losartan pretreatment group. After 24-hour incubation, insulin gene expression in RIN-m cells was detected by RT-PCR, the mean flu-orescent intensity of 2', 7'-dichlorofluorescein ( DCF) was detected by flow cytometry, PDX-1 and MafA mRNA expression were detec-ted by RT-PCR and the protein expression was detected by Western-blot. Results: Insulin expression in RIN-m cells, cellular ROS level, PDX-1 expression and MafA expression in 100 nmol · L-1 AngⅡ group were significantly different from those in the control group and losartan pretreatment group (P<0. 05). The later two groups had no significant differentces in those indices (P>0. 05). Conclusion:AngⅡ can down-regulate PDX-1 and MafA expression inβ-cells through oxidative stress pathway, and then inhibit insu-lin gene expression. Pretreatment with losartan can antagonize the effect of AngⅡ, and has protective effect onβ-cells in the aspect of insulin gene expression.
9.Observation on treating herpes zoster with compound glycyrrhiz and famciclovir
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2008;15(5):707-708
Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of compound glycyrrhizin and famciclovir in the treatment of herpes zoster. Methods 98 patients with herpes zoster were randomly divided into 2 groups. The treatment group were administrated with compound glycyrrhizin for a week. The control group were administrated with famciclovir for a week. The time of blister stop, crust formation, pain disappearance and cure was observed after 10 days. The rate of postherpetic neuralgia was observed too. Results The difference was significant between treatment group and control group in the time of blister stop [(2.38±0.76)d,(2.97±0.89)d], crust formation [(5.15±1.42)d, (6.91±1.97)d], pain disappearance [(4.06±1.34)d, (6.05±1.83)d] and cure [(7.32±2.21)d, (9.86±2.77)d] (all P<0.05). The difference of the rate of postherpetic neuralgia was insignificant between two groups (2%,4.2%) (P0.05). Conclusion Combined therapy of compound glycyrrhizin and famciclovir was safe and effective for the treatment of herpes zoster.
10.Changes of serum enzymes in acute mesenteric vasculopathy
Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2014;29(4):285-288
Objective To study changes of serum enzymes among acute mesenteric vasculopathy (AMV) and several surgical acute abdomens for early diagnosis of acute mesenteric vasculopathy. Methods Rabbit models were established for acute mesenteric artery ischemia, acute mesenteric venous ischemia, acute mechanical ileus, acute strangulated intestinal obstruction, acute gastric perforation, acute pancreatitis, sham group, blank control group.Serum enzymes were tested after 0,1,3,6,9 h.Result Compared with blank control, acute mesenteric vasculopathy experienced significantly alterations of the serum enzymes.ALT (alanine aminotransferase),ALP (alkaline phosphatase),r-GT (glutamyl transferthe enzyme) were significantly higher after mesenteric veins blocked 3 hours,LDH (lactate dehydrogenase) was significantly higher after mesenteric venous blocked 6 hours (P < 0.05).ALT was significantly higher after mesenteric artery blocked 6 hours (P < 0.05).Elevated ALT were statistically different in acute mesenteric vasculopathy compared with blank control, sham group, gastric perforation, mechanical ileus, and strangulated intestinal obstruction (all P < 0.05) ; r-GT level was statistically different between acute mesenteric artery ischemia and acute mesenteric venous ischemia. Conclusions Mesurements of serum enzymes level are helpful to make early diagnosis of acute mesenteric vasculopathy.
