2.Pharmacokinetics of gatifloxacin mesylate and gatifloxacin in rats in vivo
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(06):-
Aim To investigate the difference in pharmacokinetics between gatifloxacin mesylate(GATM) and gatifloxacin(GAT) in SD rats in vivo.Method The plasma concentration-time courses of GAT in rats were measured by HPLC method after a single oral dose of GATM and GAT,and the pharmacokinetic parameters were estimated by program 3p97 software. Results The results shown that both of GATM and GAT plasma concentration-time courses were best fitted to two-compartment models after a single oral dose(GATM 23.43 mg?kg~(-1)and GAT 20 mg?kg~(-1),respectively).The major average pharmacokinetic parameters of GATM were as follwing: T_(2)?: 9.13 h,AUC: 15.05 mg?L~(-1)?h,C_(max): 4.41 mg?L~(-1),and T_(max): 0.5 h,respectively. On the other hand, the pharmacokinetic parameters of GAT were as follwing: T_(2)?:10.70 h,AUC:13.84 mg?L~(-1)?h,C_(max):4.25 mg?L~(-1),T_(max):0.5 h,respectively. Conclusion Under the equi-mole dose condition treated as above, both of pharmacokinetic characters between GATM and GAT were not significantly differences in rats

Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2012;18(4):267-269
Objective To explore epicanthus correction by transverse incision method and concurrent double-eyelid incision operation. Methods The transverse straight-line incision was performed in new inner canthus to the original canthal corner point; after the original inner canthus corner point was reached, the oblique-line parallel incision was performed along the lower eyelid so that full subcutaneous separation was obtained on the upper and lower incision; the malpositioned isomerous orbicular muscle and thickened tissue were released and excised so that the epicanthus skin was naturally restored; the superficial head of the inner canthus ligament was folded and sutured when necessary ; after small cat ears at the temporal side of the inner canthal incision was removed, routine double eyelid plasty was then performed, but the double eyelid and the inner canthus incisions were not continuous. Results The procedures were clinically applied in 258 cases and followed up for 3-18 months, showing that the epicanthus has disappeared, new inner canthus was in good appearance, the scar was not obvious, recurrence of the epicanthus was not found and double eyelids were beautiful in appearance. Conclusions The epicanthus correction by transverse incision and concurrent double-eyelid plasty is a simple and ideal approach for correction of single-edged eyelid with epicanthus and it is worthy of clinical promotion.

OBJECTIVE: In recent years, in the field of neurosurgery, people have tried to study the mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) transplantation for treatment of spinal cord injury and review its related studies.DATA SOURCES: We did a computer-search of Medline for spinal cord injury related articles published in English from January 1990 to November 2004, with the key words of "mesenchymal stem cells, transplantation, spinal cord injury". Meanwhile, We also searched Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM) for bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells for transplantation of spinal cord injury related articles published from January 1990 to November 2004, with the key words of "mesenchymal stem cells, transplantation, spinal cord injury" in Chinese.STUDY SELECTION: All articles were selected firstly, and those relevant to progression of mesenchymal stem cells transplantation in spinal cord injury therapy were collected. The full texts of the rest literatures were looked up and the latest evolutional articles were enrolled.DATA EXTRACTION: A total of 32 articles about the mesenchymal stem cells transplantation in spinal cord injury therapy were collected. After the exclusion of repetitive or similar studies, 19 articles met our criteria.DATA SYNTHESIS: Aiming at the spinal cord injury therapy by means of mesenchymal stem cells transplantation, the viewpoints of collected articles were summarized. We found bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells could supply lesioned part as filler. Directional regeneration accomplishes the construction of the function that transfers up and down for the nerve cell anchor through surrounding structure. The microenvironment which can inhibit the regeneration of the glial cell, protect the survival of nerve cell body, promote the regeneration of autogenic nerve cells shall be created in transplant. The international successful experience was introduced emphatically, and the most hopeful outlook was suggested.CONCLUSION: The transplanted MSCs survive, migrate to the injury site and differentiate into neurons and astrocytes. Transplantation of MSCs following spinal cord injury may improve the recovery of spinal function and may be an effect way in treating spinal cord injury.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 1993;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the effect of rosiglitazone on neointima and inflammatory factor after carotid artery injury of rats. Methods A total of 60 SD rats were divided randomly into 3 groups: the control group, the surgery group and the resiglitazone therapeutic group. The left common carotid arteries were injured by balloon in the surgery group and the therapeutic group. Rosiglitazone was administrated intragastricly to therapeutic group. The plasma tumor necrosis factor-? (TNF-?) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels were detected with radioimmunoassay at 4h, 1 and 7d after the operation. After 2 weeks, the injured vessels were stained by HE and immunity histochemistry method, then observed with microscope. Neointimal area (NIA), internal elastic lamina area (IELA), stenosis index (SI) and optical density value of protein expression of NF-?B were calculated. Results Rosiglitazone inhibited the neointima of injured vessels, decreased the protein expression of NF-?B and reduced plasma TNF-? and IL-6 levels. Conclusion Rosiglitazone can inhibit the inflammatory reaction of injured vessels and lighten the restenosis of injured vessels.
