Background and purpose:It has beenreported that miR-1284 is associated with gastric cancer lymph node metastasis in the research of microRNA microarray in human gastric cancer tissues. But the specific role of miR-1284 in gastric cancer has not been reported. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of miR-1284 over-expression on the gene expression profiling and invasion/metastasis of human gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells. Methods:Gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells of LV-miR-1284 group were transfected with lentiviral vectors of miR-1284, cells of LV-NC-GFP group were transfected with lentiviral vectors without miR-1284, and cells of control group were not transfected with lentiviral vectors. The expression of miR-1284 was detected by the real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR. Differential expression genes were detected by the microRNA chip. Target genes of miR-1284 were predicted by the bioinformatics. Invasive ability was detected by the Transwell invasion assay. Metastasis ability was detected by subcutane-ously transplanted tumor model of nude mice. Results:Compared with LV-NC-GFP and control groups, the expressions of miR-1284 and 20 genes were up-regulated, and the expression of 17 genes was down-regulated in LV-miR-1284 group. One hundred and thirty-eight target genes of miR-1284 were predicted by the bioinformatics website. Compared with invasive cell number of LV-NC-GFP group (168.67±4.55) and control group (170.33±3.08), the ability of invasion ofcells was weakened in LV-miR-1284 group (70.00±2.37). Compared with the liver metastasis rate of LV-NC-GFP group (85.71%) and control group (85.71%), the ability of metastasis of cells was weakened in LV-miR-1284 group (14.29%). Conclusion:The ability of invasion and metastasis of SGC-7901 cells is suppressed by over-expression of miR-1284. The mechanism may be related to regulating the expression ofSUMO1 andJUNgenes.

Human gut microbiota plays a key role in the development of obesity. Intestinal flora can regulate energy absorption and nutrition metabolism, increasing the energy harvesting from diet. Alteration of gut flora produces excessive lipopolysaccharide, which, when absorbed into the blood, can induce inflammatory reactions and promote the high-fat diet-associated obesity and metabolic syndrome. Intestinal flora increase visceral fat deposition by lowering the expression of Fiaf in intestinal mucosa. Different immune status also affects the intestinal flora. The gut microbiota is hypothesized to be an environmental factor that contributes to obesity; by interacting with factors such as host and diet, it adjusts the energy metabolism. Antibiotics or probiotics may alter the composition of intestinal microflora and improve the metabolic syndrome, and thus provides new treatment options.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effectiveness of paraumbilical skin flaps for the repair of the severe burn wounds.
METHODSPedicled, island, or free paraumbilical skin flaps, as well as combined transplantation of several kinds of flaps were used to repair the wounds of 39 patients with severe burns. The largest paraumbilical skin flap was 55 x 27 cm(2) in area, with the end approaching the armpit midline of the axilla on the same side, and extending 10cm from the abdominal midline. The survival, color, elasticity of the flaps, degree of deformity resulted from scar contracture, and the condition of donor area were observed.
RESULTSAll the paraumbilical skin flaps survived, without obvious infection subsequent to complete debridement of the wounds. The flaps exhibited good color and elasticity, without scar contracture after 1 to 46 months in 33 patients. No obvious scar formation was observed in the donor area.
CONCLUSIONParaumbilical skin flap is an ideal one for the early repair of deep burn wounds, because it can cover a large area, and can be transferred in different ways according to the area and the position of the wounds.

Chinese Journal of Hepatology 2015;23(10):748-753
OBJECTIVETo investigate the expression profile of serum micro (mi)RNAs in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) and investigate the regulatory contribution of miRNAs to the invasive and metastasis.
METHODSMicroarray analysis was carried out using serum samples collected from 30 patients with CCA, bile duct cancer tissues and the corresponding normal tissues collected from 10 patients, and serum samples from 50 healthy volunteers. The miRNAs identified as dysregulated in CCA were verified by RT-PCR. Focused analysis on miR-224 was carried out using the human CCA cell lines HCCC-9810 and RBE to investigate the role of this miRNA in IL-6 expression (using IL-6 induction), cell growth, invasiveness and metastasis (using miR-224 mimic transfection). The one-way ANOVA test was used for statistical analysis.
RESULTSForty-three miRNAs were dysregulated in CCA (vs. non-CCA, P<0.01), of which 22 were upregulated and 21 were downregulated. RT-PCR data showed that the miR-224 was significantly upregulated in serum as well as in cancer tissue from CCA patients. Induction of HCCC-9810 and RBE cells with IL-6 showed a time-dependent upregulation of miR-224. Furthermore, the HCCC-9810 and RBE cells transfected with miR-224 mimic showed enhanced cell growth, invasiveness and migratory ability.
CONCLUSIONIL-6 may promote the invasive and metastatic properties of CCA through upregulated miR-224. Studies of the differentially expressed serum miRNAs in CCA may help to further elucidate the pathogenic processes of this disease and aid in the development of a novel and effective therapeutic strategy.

Chinese Journal of Epidemiology 2003;24(12):1074-1077
OBJECTIVETo study the cost of the hypertensive outpatients.
METHODSThe study randomly selected 460 insured patients with hypertension and investigated their cost on each case in the out-patient department through 2002, based on the electronic system of medical insurance.
RESULTSAs a whole, the distribution of hypertensive outpatient expenditure takes on the positively skewed, with the median of 1 567.9 Yuan RMB. With the increase of age, the average expenses in each age group increased accordingly. In the study, the average number of outpatient attendances per patient was 19.5, the average expenses per visit was 115.4 Yuan RMB. In age groups 40 - 49 and 50 - 59, expenses of outpatient in male and female groups are obviously different in 2002 (Wilcoxon W(40 - 49) = 36, P(40 - 49) = 0.037; Wilcoxon W(50 - 59) = 374, P(50 - 59) = 0.023), as well as the number of out-patients (Wilcoxon W(40 - 49) = 52.5, P(40 - 49) = 0.007; Wilcoxon W(50 - 59) = 379, P(50 - 59) = 0.028). When considering the factors of gender and age at one time, the outpatient expenditures in the male group were significantly different between the different age groups (chi(2) = 22.3, P < 0.001), as well as the number of outpatients (chi(2) = 25.4, P < 0.001). In addition, the expenditure of drugs, which took a large proportion of the total expenditure of hypertensive outpatients (about 83.6 percent), was divided into three parts according to the degree of correlation with hypertension: direct expenses related to the with disease, the indirect expenses and the irrespective. The proportions of each part were 19.9 percent, 32.3 percent and 47.8 percent respectively.
CONCLUSIONWhen economic evaluation of community prevention is carried out, the cost and cost-benefit analysis based on the analysis of outpatient expenditure and the proportion of expenses on hypertension should be taken into account. Additionally, to provide appropriate mode of medicare, to impact the behaviors and expenditure of patients, and to provide low-cost but good effective drug are also essential and important factors.
