Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To analyze the effect of both limited selective posterior rhizotomy(LSPR)and limited selective soft tissue release(LSTR)on healing motor function related to spasmo-cerebral palsy in both legs. Methods Thirty-eight cases CP with LSPR and LSTR were collected in the past 3 years;21 males,17 females;aged 3.0-8.11 years old,on the average of 5.11 years old.Perioperative motor function were evaluated according to motor function scores. Results LSPR and LSTR played a role in improving motor function obviously, and had little difference in orthomorphia after SPR for 6 months. Conclusion LSPR and LSTR may improve cramp and abnormality in both legs, and enhance motor function,so the secondary operation agony can be avoided, and the family economic burden relived.

ObjectiveTo study the feasibility of analyzing photosensitizers absorbing process by cells based on image processing technology.MethodsFluorescence images of Laryngeal cells were taken by inverted fluorescence microscope after adding photosensitizers for a certain time.Parameter L that reflects the fluorescence intensity of cells in different times was obtained and the calculation results were compared.ResultsThe fluorescence intensity of cells increased over time.Sobel operater and Otsu algorithm can both reflect the fluorescence intensity of images.ConclusionImage processing technology can effectively analyzes the process of photosensitizers absorbed by cells.

Objective To explore the influence of the acute cauda equina compression on the lumbosacral spinal cord; To clarify the pathologic change of the motor neuron after acute cauda equina compression. Methods 27 canis familiaris were randomly divided into 9 groups (3 in each) : one for normal group, one for control group, and seven for compression groups. The control group and compressed groups was given operation and the sac made of silica gel was placed under the lamina of L5-6. Water was injected into the sac until their posterior legs paralysis in compressed groups, the animals had been compressed for 4, 8, 12, 24, 48, 72, 168 hours. The control group were not injected water. Cells apoptosis was investigated with the technology of TdT-mediated biotin dUTP nick end-labeling (TUNEL)staining. The Bcl-2 Bax and Caspase-3 protein was investigated by immunohistochemical method. Results TUNEL staining cells in anterior horn presented after compressed 8-12 hours, and at 72 hours the number of positive cells got to maximum, it decreased subsequently after 168 hours. The protein of Bax, Bcl-2 expressed a little in normal motor neuron. The caspase-3 protein didn't express in normal cell. They all reached the peak at 72 hours after compression. Conclusion The apoptosis of motor neuron occurred earlier after cauda equina acute compression. Bax protein restrained Bcl-2 protein then active caspase-3 and conduced apoptosis of motor neuron.

Objective To explore the relation between the level of oxygen pressure and lactate in arterial blood and prognosis of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).Methods 36 patients with sudden cardiac arrest received CPR were selected.Patients were divided into 3 groups. The 21 patients who 30 minutes of CPR didn't regain heart beats were group A,those 10 who kept blood circulation for over 2 hours but finally died were group B,and the remaining 5 who survived were group C.Control group was made up of 20 people with no disease. In CPR immediately (0h),1h,3h,6h,12h were measured in blood specimens from arterial partial pressure of oxygen and lactate levels were compared among groups of patients dynamic changes of the index. Results The 3 groups A,B,C significantly reduced blood oxygen pressure, blood lactate increased significantly the CPR in the early, and compared with the control group there was significant difference( P < 0.01 ).The group B CPR 3h,6h,and continue until no significant changes in 12h;The group C CPR 3h,6h began to increase blood oxygen pressure and blood lactate levels begin to decline, blood oxygen pressure increased significantly, lower blood lactate to a lower level after 12h.Taken with marked changes in B group, the difference was significant ( P < 0.05 ).Conclusion Arterial partial pressure of oxygen and blood lactate levels could be used as indicators of prognosis of patients with CPR.Sustained increase in arterial oxygen partial pressure showed a good prognosis, lactate levels continued to rise that a poor prognosis.

Transverse fracture is the most common in patella fracture and tension band fixation is one of the most effective methods. Surgical wire tension band technique is simple, the use of materials is also simple, but it is not strong and difficult to promote. Kirschner tension band technique can get satisfactory reduction with reliable fixation, but it is easy to complicate with steel wire breakage and Kirschner loosening. Screw tension band technique inherits the traditional advantages of simple manipulation and reliable fixation, also overcomes the disadvantages of early activity limitations caused soft tissue irritation of tension band around knee, the slippage and breakage of internal fixation, and the technique can be popularized generally.

Akebia trifoliate has been reported to have many pharmacological activities and the roots, petioles and seeds are used to different symptoms. However, the structure and anatomy of its seeds was almost not reported until now. In the present study, we investigated the morphological characters of the fruit and seed, and the anatomical characters of the testa, micropyle, embryo and endosperm, which could provide evidences for the study on classification, identification and application of A. trifoliate. Our results showed that the testa of A. trifoliate consisted of an epidermic cell layer, the sclerenchyma cells layer, the parenchyma cells layer and an innermost pigment layer. At the micropylar region, the outermost epidermal cells were specialized the white caruncle-like structure and the testa included a lot of lignified tissues. Endosperm comprises two layer cells. Outermost yellowish-brown layer cells contains lots of fat droplets, and innermost white layer cells contains lots of aleurone grains and crystalloids.
