International Eye Science 2014;(9):1728-1729
To analyze the clinical results of orbicularis muscle shortening surgery and eyelid skin orbicularis muscle resection for senile entropion.
●METHODS: From January 01, 2006 to December 31, 2012, senile patients with lower eyelid were divided into two groups according to different surgical methods. Group A with the orbicularis muscle shortening improved operation in 20 cases (38 eyes), group B used the eyelid skin orbicularis muscle resection in 21 cases (36 eyes). The effects of surgery were followed-up postoperatively.
●RESULTS: Patients were followed up for 1 - 2a, 20 patients ( 38 eyes ) in group A were cured without recurrence; 7 eyes recurred in group B, the recurrence rate was 19%, the recurrence rate after surgery both groups were statistically significant (P<0. 05).
●CONCLUSlON: The effect of orbicularis muscle shortening improved operation for senile entropion is good and stable.

Objective To discuss the prevention and treatment of bile duct injures io the gallbladder bed during laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC).Methods A retrospective analysis was made on clinical features, treatment, and curative effects of 15 cases of bile duct injures in the gallbladder bed out of 2 032 cases of LC from January 1997 to December 2004.Results There were 5 cases of acute attack of chronic calculous cholecystitis and 10 cases of chronic atrophic calculous cholecystitis. The location of injury was at the branches of the right hepatic ducts in 8 cases and at aberrant bile ducts in 7 cases. The injury was treated with titanium clipping in 8 cases, primary suture in 5 cases, and open surgery of bile duct repair in 2 cases because the injury was relativly large and the site of injury was near the trunk of the right hepatic duct.Postoperatively, bile leakage happened in 1 case and was cured by drainage for 5 days.Follow-up surveys for 6~36 months (mean,23 months) showed free of symptoms and no jaundice or cholangitis. Conclusions Surgical dissection closely near the gallbladder wall when mobilizing the gallbladder is the key to preventing bile duct injuries in the gallbladder bed during laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Prompt detection and proper management of the injury have satisfactory curative effects.

Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) viral infectivity factor (Vif), one of the accessory proteins, which is a small basic phosphoprotein, is essential for viral replication and pathogenesis. The best well-characterized function of Vif is its ability to neutralize the host cell antiviral factor, apolipoprotein B mRNA editing enzyme catalytic polypeptide like 3G (APOBEC3G), which makes the viral particles more infective. In addition, Vif can regulate the reverse transcription and the advanced stage of replication of the virus particle, as well as induce the termination of cell cycle at G2 stage and so on. The designed drug aimed directly at Vif can efficiently block the maturation and infectivity of HIV-1. In this review, the structure, function and especially the related inhibitors of Vif are reviewed.

Objective To investigate the effect of apatinib on the proliferation, apoptosis and migration of pancreatic cancer cell line AsPC-1 in vitro. Methods Pancreatic cancer AsPC-1 cells were treated by apatinib in different concentrations.Cell proliferation and apoptosis were measured by CCK-8 and flow cytometry, and the effect of apatinib on cell migration ability was observed by wound healing assay. Results In control and 10,20,30,40 and 50umol/L apatinib treatment group, the inhibitory rates of AsPC-1 cells were 0,(1.45 ±0.68)%,(16.92±0.70)%,(23.84±0.84)%,(34.35±1.55)% and (37.33± 0.81) %,respectively.Cell proliferation was obviously inhibited by apatinib as the concentration increased, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05).In control and 20,40 umol/L apatinib treatment group, the apoptotic rates were (9.44 ± 0.18) %,(16.62 ± 0.19) % and (25.42 ± 0.41) %,respectively.Number of apoptotic cells was obviously increased by apatinib as the concentration increased, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05).In control and 20,40 umol/L apatinib treatment group, the migration ability was (29.5 ± 0.7) %,(17.4 ± 0.9) % and (6.6 ± 0.5) %,which was greatly decreased as the concentration increased, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05).Conclusions Apatinib can effectively inhibit the proliferation and migration of pancreatic cancer AsPC-1 cells and induce apoptosis.

Object To compare the HPLC fingerprints of Flos Chrysanthemi from different habitats Methods With Inertsil C 18 column, gradient elute was performed by mobil phase containing acetonitrile water (2% tetrahydrofuran, 0 1% trifluoracetic acid) The flow rate was 1 mL/min and column temperature 30 ℃ Different breeds of Flos Chrysanthemi from various producing areas and other species from the same genus were comparatively analyzed Results It is discovered that the HPLC fingerprints from different breeds of Flos Chrysanthemi have a strong comparability They have 16 mutual peaks and among them four are from the ten strongest peaks, two from the ten strongest peaks or stronger peaks The fingerprint data reflect the affiliation on producing area and genetic relationship of differnt breeds of Flos Chrysanthemi, and also characteristic features of each breed Conclusion This method can be used to establish the HPLC fingerprints of different breeds produced in different areas

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2021;29(1):58-63
p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75 NTR) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, which interacts with tropomyosin receptor kinase (Trk) receptor or binds neurotrophic factors. It mediates a variety of complex signal transduction pathways, induces synaptic growth and affects cell survival. After acute cerebral ischemia, p75 NTR binds effector factors such as pro-nerve growth factor (proNGF) and sortilin, activating downstream apoptotic signal molecules and leading to neuronal death. Therefore, elucidating the pathways and molecular mechanisms of p75 NTR that mediate neuronal apoptosis in acute cerebral ischemia is of great significance for the development of new therapeutic drugs for acute cerebral ischemia.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(19):3760-3765
A full-length cDNA of phytoene desaturase (PDS) gene from Andrographis paniculata was obtained through RACE-PCR. The cDNA sequence consists of 2 224 bp with an intact ORF of 1 752 bp (GeneBank: KP982892), encoding a ploypeptide of 584 amino acids. Homology analysis showed that the deduced protein has extensive sequence similarities to PDS from other plants, and contains a conserved NAD ( H) -binding domain of plant dehydrase cofactor binding-domain in N-terminal. Phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that ApPDS was more related to PDS of Sesamum indicum and Pogostemon cablin. The semi-quantitative RT-PCR analysis revealed that ApPDS expressed in whole aboveground tissues with the highest expression in leaves. Virus induced gene silencing (VIGS) was performed to characterize the functional of ApPDS in planta. Significant photobleaching was not observed in infiltrated leaves, while the PDS gene has been down-regulated significantly at the yellowish area. To the best of our knowledge, this represents the first report of PDS gene cloning and functional characterization from A. paniculata, which lays the foundation for further investigation of new genes, especially that correlative to andrographolide biosynthetic pathway.
