0.05);however,the urine G-actin con-centrations were significantly higher in renal involved patients than those of non-renal involved patients(P0.05)in SLE patients. Conclusions The elevated G-actin concentration in the blood of SLE may inhibits the DNaseⅠactivity, which may be one of possible causes to render the decreased DNaseⅠactivity in the blood.

OBJECTIVE:To study the curative effect of different Chailing decoction granules on chronic renal failure(CRF) in rats.METHODS:SD rats in trial groups and model group were given adenine to induce CRF model. The trial groups were treated with Japanese Tsumura granules, imitating Japanese method granules or Chinese normal method granule. The model group and the control group were treated with saline. The urine, blood biochemical parameters as well as morphological change of kidney were monitored.RESULTS:Compared with model group,Japanese Tsumura granules and imitating Japanese method granules significantly reduced the levels of blood ureanitrogen, serum total protein, serum cholesterol and urinary protein, and the damage on renal interstitium was lessened significantly(P

Objective The purpose of this study was to evaluate the disinfection effectiveness and properties of acrylic resin via microwave irradiation. Methods Forty acrylic resin base dentures fabricated in a standardized procedure were chosen and divided into Group A,B,C and D randomly. Group A,B and C were immersed in 200ml distilled water and submitted to microwave irradiation at 700W for 3,4,5 minutes individually. Group D was used as positive control. Bacteria specimens from each group were got for culture and numbers were calculated. Then the four groups were tested for the flexural strength and impact strength by universal test machine before and after microwave irradiation sterilization. Results The germicidal ratio of Group B was more than 90% ,while the ratio of group C was 100%. There was no significant difference in flexural strength and impact strength between group C and group D. Conclusions Microwave irradiation for 5 minutes at 700W produced sterilization of dentures contaminated with all bacteria whereas the denture strength is not affected. Microwave irradiation at 700W solution for 5 minutes was effective to sterilize acrylic resin base dentures.

Objective To discuss the time-dependent changes of facet joint asymmetry in patients with lumbar disc herniation (LDH). Methods A total of 54 patients with LDH were prospectively analyzed. CT was used to judge whether there existed small joint facet asymmetry and to measure the facet joints. The present results were compared with the results that would be investigated two years later. Results The sagittal process of small facet plane accounted the majority in patients with LDH after two years, with no statistical difference compared with the results before two years (P > 0.05). During 2-year period, the facet joint asymmetry disappeared in seven patients, while the facet joint asymmetry occurred in other seven patients, with no statistical difference (P > 0.05). Conclusions Facet plane and the asymmetry will change with time. Observation of the relationship between facet joint asymmetry and LDH should be carried out in a period of time rather than at a time point.

Objective To investigate the incidence of surgical site infection(SSI)following clean incision breast surgery under non-local anesthesia, and evaluate risk factors for SSI.Methods Clinical data of 3 327 patients who underwent clean incision breast surgery under non-local anesthesia in 22 hospitals in Fujian Province were surveyed retrospectively,SSI and risk factors were analyzed. Results Among 3 327 patients,1 502(45.19%)were with malignant tumors, the average dura-tion of surgery were (101.18 ±8.04)minutes;a total of 24 cases of SSI occurred, incidence of SSI was 0.72%;253 (7.60%)patients received pre-operative antimicrobial prophylaxis,62.66% used antimicrobial agents within 0.5-2 hours before surgery. The main pathogenic bacteria was Staphylococcus aureus .Univariate and logistic regression analysis re-vealed that malignant tumor, diabetes mellitus, and use of immunosuppressants were all risk factors for SSI (all P <0.05). Conclusion SSI following clean incision breast surgery under non-local anesthesia is well controlled, risk factors for SSI should be evaluated before operation, comprehensive preventive measures should be taken to reduce the incidence of SSI.

Objective To obtain a reliable estimate of the risk of H. pylori infection in causing pancreatic cancer ,by perform‐ing a M eta‐analysis of the existing observational studies evaluating the association .Methods Observational studies comparing the prevalence of H. pylori infection in patients with pancreatic cancer and healthy controls were identified through systematic search in the Medline ,EMBASE ,the Cochrane ,PubMed ,VIP database .H. pylori infection was confirmed by serological testing using an anti‐gen‐specific enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay .Pooled adjusted odds ratios (AOR) and associated 95% confidence intervals (CI) were obtained by using a Dersimonian and Laird random‐effects model .Results Six studies involving a total of 2 335 patients met our eligibility criteria .A significant association between H. pylori seropositivity and development of pancreatic cancer (AOR=1 .38 , 95% CI:1 .08-1 .75 ;P=0 .009) was seen .No significant association had been seen on pooled analysis of the three studies assessing the relationship between CagA positivity and pancreatic cancer (AOR=1 .14 ,95% CI:0 .66-1 .97 ,P=0 .639) .Conclusion The da‐ta suggests an association between infection with H. pylori and the development of pancreatic cancer .Further research is needed to confirm our findings .

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2016;38(1):85-88
Male late-onset hypogonadism (LOH) has seriously affected the quality of life in elderly men.The pathogenesis of this disease is related with growing old, endocrine function degradation and hormone levels decreased. The core principle of the western medicine treatment is to supple the androgen, but recent discovery found that long-term androgen supplementation have certain side effects, which will increase the benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostate cancer risk.Traditional Chinese medicine treatment has a unique advantage in treating this disease,it can regulate the body's endocrine and hormone levels, and delay aging. So it can improve the conditions of palpitations, insomnia, irritability, sweating, sexual loss, fatigue, weakness and other symptoms. Now we reviewed the theory of governance, classical prescriptions, self prescription treatment, acupuncture therapy, and exercise therapy from the aspect of traditional Chinese medicine.
