1.Considerations on the therapy of colorectal cancer liver metastasis in China.

The liver is the most common site of colorectal cancer metastasis(CRLM). The importance of how to treat CRLM has attracted attention from doctors world wide and specific academic organization and expect consensus has been established. Relative principals of treatment of CRLM also developed in China, for example, guideline of diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer liver metastasis(draft) and standard for diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer, which were established in 2008 and 2010, respectively. However, we found that the Chinese doctors still understand these treatment policies inadequately, and easily produce deviation on the treatment progress. Based on the problems of current CRLM treatment, we have some thoughts or suggestions as follows: (1)Promoting the core conception of CRLM treatment actively: surgery is the only method to achieve possible cure of the CRLM. (2) Evaluating the status of new adjuvant chemotherapy for CRLM dialectically. (3)Paying attention to multi-disciplinary team(MDT): MDT is the scientific treatment foundation of CRLM. (4)Changing the treatment conception of primary tumor of CRLM: radical resection of primary tumor is essential for the resectable CRLM.(5)Emphasizing the surgical treatment of CRLM combined with lung metastasis. (6)Do not neglect the safety of patients, when we emphasize the surgery is the optimal treatment of CRLM. These guides of treatment of CRLM will improve the outcomes of CRLM around the world, but we still need pay attention to above mentioned points in order to insure the standardization and scientification of CRLM therapy.

2.Optimal therapy for patients with HBeAg positive chronic hepatitis B who have poor response to interferon α

Objective To investigate the efficacy of interferon alpha (IFNα) plus adefovir dipivoxil (ADV) and tebivudine (LdT) monotherapy for patients with HBeAg positive chronic hepatitis B (CHB) who have poor response to IFNα treatment.Methods A total of 86 HBeAg positive CHB patients admitted to the Sixth People' s Hospital of Shaoxing during February 2010 and April 2013 were enrolled in the study.All the patients received IFNα monotherapy for 24 weeks and had poor responses.The patients were voluntarily divided into three groups:IFNα monotherapy group (n =21),IFNα plus ADV group (n =30) and LdT monotherapy group (n =35).Chi-square test was used to compare ALT normalization rates,rate of HBV DNA load < 500 copies/mL,HBeAg seroconversion and HBsAg seroconversion rates among three groups.Results After 48 weeks of treatment,the ALT normalization rate in IFNα monotherapy group was 52.6% (10/19),which was lower than those in IFNα plus ADV group (86.7%,26/30) and LdT monotherapy group (84.8%,28/33) (x2 =6.913 and 6.361,P < 0.05).The rate of HBV DNA load <500 copies/mL in IFNα monotherapy group was 26.3% (5/19),which was lower than those in IFNα plus ADV group (60.0%,18/30) and LdT monotherapy group (54.5%,18/33) (x2 =11.33 and 3.895,P <0.05).No HBeAg negative conversion or seroconversion was observed in IFNα monotherapy group,but it was observed in 6 (20.0%,6/30) patients in IFNαt plus ADV group and 7 (21.2%,7/33) patients in LdT monotherapy group (x2 =4.330 and 4.657,P < 0.05).No HBsAg seroconversion was observed in three groups.There were no statistical significant differences in ALT normalization rates,rate of HBV DNA load < 500 copies/mL,HBeAg seroconversion and HBsAg seroconversion rates between IFNαt plus ADV group and LdT monotherapy (x2 =0.042,0019 and 0.064,P > 0.05).Conclusion For patients with HBeAg positive CHB who had poor response to IFNα treatment,IFNα plus ADV therapy and LdT monotherapy have the same efficacy in improvement of both liver function and virological response.
3.Study on effect and mechanism of baicalin on antiviral effects about respiratory syncytial virus

Objective To research the effect of the baicalin to the expression of interferon(IFN)-α and IFN-β in the BALB/c mouse infected by respiratory syncytial virus(RSV),and discussed the antiviral of mechanism.Methods To establish the BALB/c mouse model of RSV,the effects of IFN-α and IFN-β in the BALB/c mouse infected by RSV were detected by ELISA.Results The IFN-α and IFN-β in the BALB/c mouse infected by RSV could be evaluated significantly by Baicalin.Conclusion The Baicalin regulates the level of IFN in the BALB/c mouse infected by RSV.
4.Research on status of epidemiology by Science Citation Index

Objects To analysis the research status of epidemiology.Methods According to SCI database,a statistical analysis was made for the amount and distribution of published original studies in epidemiological methods in SCI from 1998 to 2007.Some characteristic index,such as the subject areas,countries distribution,study designs and research status in china were evaluated.Results The number of articles of epidemiological methods showed an increasing tendency annually.These articles are mainly from public,environmental & occupational health and analytical epidemiology.America is core country in this field.Shanghai cancer institution showed higher productive in papers in China.Most of papers were mainly published in "CANCER EPIDEMIOLOGY BIOMARKERS & PREVENTION",which ranked at the first place in China.Conclusion With the development of epidemiology,epidemiological study methods have also been continuously improved and have played an important role.In addition,Cancer Epidemiology is a focus subject in China.
5.Key points of digestive tract anastomosis in pancreatic surgery assisted by da Vinci robotic surgical system

The da Vinci robotic surgical system has the advantages of three-dimensional vision and high degree of accuracy,flexibility and repeatability,which makes surgical procedures such as digestive tract anastomosis easier to conduct under minimally invasive conditions.In this article,the feasibility and principle of digestive tract anastomosis and the procedures of pancreaticojejunostomy and pancreaticogastrostomy by the da Vinci robotic surgical system are introduced,so as to improve the quality of anastomosis and reduce the incidences of postoperative complications.Compared with traditional laparotomy,da Vinci robotic surgical system simplified the surgical procedures and reduced the trauma,which is suitable for digestive tract anastomosis in pancreatic surgery.The method of pancreatic anastomosis should be selected in consideration of the condition of patients,surgical procedure and the experience of surgeons.

7. Comparative study on distribution of endophytic fungi in Scrophularia ningpoensis from different habitats

Objective: To analyze the distribution of endophytic fungi in Scrophularia ningpoensis from different habitats. Methods: The endophytic fungi in S. ningpoensis from six localities (Pan’an of Zhejiang Province, Ankang of Shaanxi Province, Wuxue of Hubei Province, Shaodong of Hunan Province, Dazhou of Sichuan Province, and Bozhou of Anhui Province) were isolated, identified, and analyzed according to the morphology and ITS sequences. Results: A total of 3 052 strains of endophytic fungi were isolated from S. ningpoensis in six localities. A total of 84 fungal taxa were identified according to the morphology and ITS sequences, these strains were belong to 25 genera. Thereinto Diaporthe, Fusarium, Nigrospora, Alternaria, Phoma, Corynespora, Epicoccum, and Cladosporium were common genera to S. ningpoensis from six localities, but the dominant genus was different: Fusarium was the dominant genus from Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, and Shaanxi; Alternaria was the dominant genus from Sichuan; Diaporthe was the dominant genus from Zhejiang. According to the similarity coefficient, the composition of the endophytic fungi was distinctly different between six localities. The Shannon-wiener diversity index and Simpson index of endophytic fungi in S. ningpoensis from Zhejiang were found higher than others. The diversity of endophytic fungi in S. ningpoensis from Sichuan was lower than others. Conclusion: Systematic studying the diversity and community structure of endophytic fungi in S. ningpoensis and clarifying their distribution regularity in plant tissues can offer basic data and scientific basis for their development and utilization.
8. Transferrin-functionalized co-delivery microemulsion of β-elemene and celastrol for synergistic anti-colorectal cancer treatment

Objective To verify the synergistic effect of transferrin modified β-elemene and celastrol co-loaded microemulsion (Tf-EC-MEs) on anti-colorectal cancer treatment. Methods The optimal mass ratio of β-elemene and celastrol to growth inhibition of Lovo and HT-29 colorectal cancer cells was optimized by MTT staining method in vitro. Tf-EC-MEs was prepared by “mixing-dripping” method, and the preparation and physicochemical properties of the particles were characterized by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), laser particle analyzer, and transmission electron microscope. The MTT staining, HPLC-BCA combined method, and Annexin V-PE/7-Aminoactinomycin D (Annexin V-PE/7-AAD) kit were used to investigate the antitumor activity of Tf-EC-MEs in vitro, and its effect on cell uptake, and apoptosis of tumor cells. The tumor-bearing nude mice model was established by subcutaneous injection of Lovo cells, and the tumor growth, weight, and survival time were observed after intravenous injection of β-elemene + celastrol, β-elemene-celastrol co-loaded microemulsion (EC-MEs), and Tf-EC-MEs. Results The combined administration of β-elemene and celastrol (40:1) had significant synergistic effect on the anti-colorectal cancer of Lovo and HT-29 cells. IC50 of β-elemene + celastrol in Lovo and HT-29 cells were (17.5 ± 2.9) and (36.4 ± 3.6) μg/mL, with the CI as 0.89 and 0.96, respectively. IC50 of Tf-EC-MEs in Lovo and HT-29 cells were (11.7 ± 0.6) and (27.4 ± 1.2) μg/mL, with the CI as 0.61 and 0.72 respectively. The 4 h of Lovo uptake of Tf-EC-MEs was 7.2 μg/mg, which was 3.3 times higher than that of β-elemene + celastrol. Tf-EC-MEs induced apoptosis in 59.2% of Lovo cells, which was significantly higher than that in beta-elemene + celastrol and EC-MEs groups. Tf-EC-MEs showed the overwhelming inhibition of growth of Lovo tumor-bearing tumors. The survival rate of Tf-EC-MEs-treated mice was 37.5% at day 60. In Tf-EC-MEs treated group, HE staining sections of tumor tissues showed substantial cell necrosis and the Ki-67 immunohistochemical sections displayed the significant inhibition of proliferation of tumor cells. Conclusion Compared with the combination group (beta-elemene and celastrol) and EC-MEs groups, Tf-EC-MEs has a promising potential in the synergistic anti-colorectal cancer treatment.
9.Comparative Study on Heat-sensitive Moxibustion Versus Warm Needling for Cervical Spondylosis of Vertebroarterial Type

ObjectiveTo compare the efficacies between heat-sensitive moxibustion and warm needling in treating cervical spondylosis of vertebroarterial type.MethodTotally 120 patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebroarterial type were randomized into a heat-sensitive moxibustion group and a warm needling group, 60 in each group. In addition to acupuncture at bilateral Fengchi (GB20), Wangu (GB12), Tianzhu (BL10), Dazhui (GV14) and Baihui (GV20), the heat-sensitive moxibustion group was given mild moxibustion to the heat-sensitive points in cervical and scapular regions, while the warm needling group was given regular moxibustion.ResultGenerally, after 20 treatment sessions, efficacy wasfound in both groups, and there were significant differences in both groups after intervention (P<0.05), while the improvements of integral score, dizziness, cervical and shoulder pain, and the recovery and markedly-effective rate in the heat-sensitive moxibustion group were significantlysuperiorto that in the warm needling group (P<0.05).ConclusionCompared to warm needling treatment, heat-sensitive moxibustion can more significantly improve dizziness and pain in patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebroarterial type, and thus enhance the therapeutic efficacy.
10.Relationship between serum interleukin-22 levels and allergens in patients with type Ⅰhypersensitivity diseases

Objective To investigate serum levels of interleukin(IL)-22 in typeⅠhypersensitivity disease patients with monosensitization and polysensitization,inhaled allergens and food allergens,and explore the correlation between IL-22 levels and allergens.Methods A total of 100 patients with typeⅠhypersensitivity disease and 30 normal controls were recruited in this study.Western blot and enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay were used to detect 19 types of allergens′ specific IgE antibody and IL-22 concentrations,respectively.Results Serum level of IL-22 was positive correlated with the number of sensitized allergens(r=0.318,P=0.001).The levels of IL-22 in polysensitization patients,monosensitization patients and normal controls were 24.52(20.41,29.27),22.02(15.25,25.59),18.06(16.02,23.04)pg/mL respectively.IL-22 in polysensitization patients(n=42) were higher than those in monosensitization patients(n=58) and normal controls(U=867.500 and 229.000,P<0.05,respectively).Compared with the normal controls,the IL-22 level was also higher in monosensitization patients(U=608.000),the difference was significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference on IL-22 between inhaled allergens patients(n=34) and food allergens patients(n=24)(t=0.082,P>0.05).Conclusion Serum level of IL-22 increases in type Ⅰhypersensitivity disease patients,was is positive correlated with the number of sensitized allergens.
