In this paper, a remote monitoring system based on three tiers framework of ″Home-Community-Hospital″ for home monitoring is introduced. Its characteristics include multiuser concurrency operation, multiple testing parameter, real-time interactivity, dependable and secure data communication, high-speed link with database and load balancing. According to user's requirements, various applications can be developed to perfect medical information system based on B/S mode. A portable multiparametric tester based on embedded system has the functions of wireless data transmission and network communication, whose hardware and software designs are modularized.

Purpose To study the clinicopathologic features and differential diagnosis of primary mucosal melanoma of the nasal cavity (PMMNC).Methods 17 cases of PMMNC diagnosed from January 2003 to September 2016 were studied by clinical pathological analysis and immunohistochemical staining, and relevant literatures were reviewed. Results 73% of the PMMNC was characterized by unilateral nasal congestion and intermittent epistaxis and 61% of the PMMNC occurred in the nasal septum and nasal side wall.Microscopically, the organizational structure and morphology were complex and diverse, which had several cell types including epithelioid cell type (6cases,35.3%),spindle cell type (3 cases,17.6%) and snall cell type (5 cases,29.4%),the other 3 cases (17.6%)were mixed cell type.Mitotic activity and tumor necrosis were more likely to be seen in PMMNC,among other clinicopathological features with a small amount of fibrous stroma and melanoma and rich blood vessels. The immunohistochemical study showed that the positive rate of S-100 and HMB-45 were both 93.8%(15 cases) and those of Melan-A and vimentin were both 87.5% (14 cases),while CK and EMA were both negative (16 cases). Conclusion PMMNC is a rare disease and the phenotype of S-100,HMB-45,Melan-A and vimentin are useful for diagnosis of PMMNC.

Objective To investigate the effect of low-dose hydrocortisone(HC)on hippocampus nuclear factor kappa B((NF-?B)),I?B expression in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)induced septic rats and the role of NF-?B signal transcription pathway in pathogenesis. Methods Fifty-four rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: control group(A group,n=6),model group(B group,n=24),low-dose HC treatment group(C group,n=24).The septic rat model was established by intraperitoneal injection LPS(1 mg/kg),as the intervention by caudal vein injection low-dose HC(6 mg/kg),each of B and C group was subdivied into 2,8,16,24 hours respectively after LPS injection(n=6).At serial time points, the animals in each group were sacrificed, brain tissue samples were harvested to determine NF-?B,I?B expression by immunhistochemistry in hippocampus. Results In B group: NF-?B expression was up regulated compared with A group(P

OBJECTIVETo further explore the effect of Jiangu Erxian Pill (JGEXP) on proliferation and cell cycle of human osteoblast on the basis of previous clinical and experimental studies.
METHODSHuman primary osteoblast were isolated and cultured. The cell proliferation was tested by 3H-thymine incorporation and methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MMT) method and the cell cycle was determined by flow cytometry technique.
RESULTSIn the medium and high dosage JGEXP groups, the cell proliferation rate and index, and percentage of diploid synthesis phase (S phase) cells were significantly higher than those in the blank control group (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05), and similar to those in the estrogen group; and the cell apoptosis rate and percentage of G0-G1 stage cells were lower than those in the blank control group (P < 0.01 and P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONJGEXP could effectively promote the cell proliferation and differentiation, and prevent the cell apoptosis of osteoblast in vitro.

A new phenethanol, (2'R)-4-(2', 3'-dihydroxy-3'-methyl-butanoxy)-phenethanol (1), along with other eleven known benzene derivatives (2-12) were isolated from the roots, stems and leaves of Clausena excavata (Rutaceae). Compounds 3 and 4 are new natural products, and compounds 5-8, 10-12 were isolated from C. excavata for the first time. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic analyses including HSQC, COSY and HMBC experiments. 1 was tested for its cytotoxicities against A549, HeLa and BGC-823 cancer cell lines, and antimicrobial activities against Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus. The results showed that 1 did not exhibit cytotoxic and antimicrobial activities.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate preliminarily the efficacy on functional constipation treated with electroacupuncture of different acupoint prescriptions.
METHODSOne hundred and four patients were randomized into a front-mu and back-shu points group (19 cases), a he-sea points group (34 cases), a he-sea, front-mu and back-shu points group (26 cases) and a western medication control group (25 cases). In the front-mu and back-shu points group, electroacupuncture was applied at bilateral Tianshu (ST 25) and Dachangshu (BL 25). In the he-sea points group, electroacupuncture was applied at bilateral Quchi (LI 11) and Shangjuxu (ST 37). In the he-sea, front-mu and back-shu points group, electroacupuncture was applied at unilateral Tianshu (ST 25), Dachangshu (BL 25), Quchi (LI 11) and Shangjuxu (ST 37). In the three groups above, the treatment was given 5 times a week in the first two weeks and 3 times a week in the next two weeks. In the western medication control group, mosapride citrate tablets were prescribed for oral administration, 1 table (5 mg) each time, 3 times a day, continuously for 4 weeks. The period of research was 9 weeks, including 1 week for baseline evaluation, 4 weeks for treatment and 4 weeks for follow-up. The weekly defecation frequency was taken as primary index, while the defecation difficulty and life quality score were taken as the secondary indices for the efficacy evaluation after treatment and in follow-up.
RESULTSAccording to the intention-to-treat (ITT) analytic principle, 104 cases were all enrolled in the final analysis. (1) After treatment, the weekly frequency of defecation was all increased significantly in the four groups (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The efficacy of the three electroacupuncture groups was similar to that of western medication control group (P > 0.05). In follow-up, the increasing effect on the weekly frequency of defecation was maintained in the he-sea points group (P < 0.01), superior to the front-mu and back-shu points group and the western medication control group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01); the weekly frequency of defecation was not improved in the rest three groups (P > 0.05). (2) After treatment, defecation difficulty was relieved in the he-sea points group, the he-sea, front-mu and back-shu points group and the western medication control group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). In follow-up, the improvements were still significant in the he-sea points group and the he-sea, front-mu and back-shu points group (both P < 0.01). (3) After treatment, the life quality score was significantly improved in the patients of the he-sea points group (P < 0.05). The difference was not significant in the rest three groups as compared with that before treatment (all P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe weekly frequency of defecation is increased effectively after treatment in the three electroacupuncture groups and the efficacy is similar to mosapride citrate tablets. The bilateral Quchi (LI 11) and Shangjuxu (ST 37) in he-sea acupoints increase significantly the weekly frequency of defecation, relieve defecation difficulty and improve life quality. Acupuncture efficacy is sustained for 4 weeks. This acupoints prescription is the best in the treatment of functional constipation.
