Shenjincao injection was prepared from the extract of Lycopodium cernuum L. by ultrafiltration or wateralcohol methods,respectively,and then injected intra-peritoneally in groups of rats contaminated with quartz powder to assess their prophylactic effects. After 5 weeks of treatment,the rats were dissected and the fresh and dried weights,collagen content and the pathologic grading of the lungs were examined. Results showed that Shenjincao injection prepared with ultrafiltration was effective for the prophylactic treatment of experimental silicnsis of rats,while that prepared with water-alcohol method was devoid of such effect. The antisilicosis active principle of Shenjincao was explored and discussed.

Objective: To explore the effects of Houxiangzhengqi Oral Liquid(HOL) on controlling withdrawal syndromes of morphine dependent rats and analgesia of mice. Methods: 60 rats were divided into group A、B、C and D randomly. Group A was injected equivalent 0.9%NaCl(0.2 mL, sc), group B、C and D were injected morphine increasingly(from 20mg?kg -1 to 100mg?kg -1, 5 days, sc) to form patterns of morphine dependent rats. When the 6th day, after group A and B were given 0.9% NaCl(0.5mL?(100g) -1, ig), group C and D were given HOL(100%0.2mL?(100g) -1 and 0.8mL?(100g) -1), respectively, 30 minutes later, by naloxone(4mg?kg -1, ip) withdrawal syndromes. Objective Crossclamping of aorta causes a sudden increase in systemic vascular resistance. Spinal cord may suffer ischemic injury during aortic aneurysm surgery. This study was designed to evaluate the hemodynamic and and spinal cord protective effects of captopril during suprarenal aortic crossclamping in rabbits.Methods Twenty-four albino rabbits were randomly divided into three groups :sham operation group (A),control group (B) and captopril group (C). The descending aorta was crossclamped above the level of renal artery for 30 min and then declamped.In group C a bolus of captopril 2 mg?kg -1 was given intravenously 10 min before crossclamping followed by a 0.5mg?kg -1?min -1 infusion for 30 min. The same volume of normal saline was given in other 2 groups. The carotid artery pressure(BP 1) and femoral artery pressure(BP 2) were recorded before injection, 5, 20,30min after crossclamping and 5,60,180min after declamping. Spinal cord was examined at the level of T 10 and L 3 for morphological changes and MDA content 180 min after declamping.Results 1. BP 1 increased significantly after crossclamping in group B. In group C there was no significant change in BP 1 after crossclamping. In group C there was no significant change in BP 1 after crossclamping. In group B BP after declamping was significantly lower than that before crossclamping. Aim To explore the inhibition of Sinica Maxim′s extract( CSME) on resistant infections of burn wounds,such as the methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus ( MRSA ) , resistant pseudomonas aeruginosa (RPA) and resistant escherichia coli(RECO). Meth-ods The resistant strains were cultured by MH agar plates. After resistance genes of quality control strains were extracted and appraised, such as mecA, mexB, merA, qacE△1-sull, tnpU/A and mexB, etc, and then,some projects of CSME were detected,such as the antibacterial spectrum, the minimum inhibitory con-centration(MIC), different concentrations of sensitive rate and inhibition curves, etc. Finally, these results were compared with the inhibitory effects of some anti-biotics to determine the sensitivity rates of CSME. Re-sults The MIC of CSME was 62. 5 ,125 ,250 g · L-1 respectively on the MESA, RPA and RECO. The inhi-bition rates of CSME appeared concentration-dependent on these three kinds of resistant bacteria,and the inhi-bition rates of the multi-concentration CSME on RECO were significantly lower than on MRSA and RPA ( P<0. 05). While in MIC,the resistance rates of MRSA on carbenicillin, cefazolin, erythromycin were significant-ly higher than those of CSME(P<0. 05); The inhibi-tion zones of CSME were significantly smaller than those of ceftriaxone, cefepime, imipenem, but greater than those of other antibiotics( P<0. 05 ); The inhibi-tion zones of CSME on RPA were significantly smaller than those of carbenicillin, and greater than those of other antibiotics ( P <0. 05 ) . The inhibition zones of CSME on RECO were significantly smaller than those of ceftriaxone,cefepime,imipenem,ciprofloxacin,nitro-furazone,and greater than those of other antibiotics ( P<0. 05 ) . Conclusions CSME has a significant inhi-bition on burn wound infection with these three kinds of resistant bacteria,such as MRSA,RPA and RECO. It is prompted that CSME could become one of the effective drugs to control burn wound infections with multi-re-sistant strains.

In order to investigate the effects of vector-based hairpin small interference RNA (shRNA) on the reversal of multi-drug resistance (mdr) of A2780/Taxol cells, a novel vector pEGFP-H1/mdr1 containing mdr1-shRNA targeting at position 2943-2963 of mdr1 was designed and synthesized. Subsequently, A2780/Taxol cells were transfected with pEGFP-H1/mdr1, and the expression of mdr1 mRNA and P-gp was detected by using RT-PCR and Western blot respectively. MTT was used to measure the 50% inhibition concentration (IC(50)) of Taxol to A2780/Taxol cells. The results showed that at the 24th and 48th h after transfection, the expression of mdr1 mRNA was decreased to (52.1+/-1.0)% and (0.01+/-1.7)%, and that of P-gp decreased to (88.3+/-2.1)% and 0%, respectively. At the 48th h after transfection, the relative reversal rate of A2780/Taxol cells to Taxol was 69.54%. In vivo, the nude mice xenografts were injected with pEGFP-H1/mdr1, and then administrated Taxol. The tumor volume in pEGFP-H1/mdr1-transfected group was significantly reduced as compared with that in blank control group or pEGFP-H1-transfected group (807.20+/-103.16 vs 1563.78+/-210.54 or 1480.78+/-241.24 mm(3), both P<0.01). These results suggested that transfection of pEGFP-H1/mdr1 could efficiently down-regulate the expression of mdr1 mRNA and P-gp in A2780/Taxol cells, and effectively restore the sensitivity of A2780/Taxol cells to Taxol both in vitro and in vivo.

METHODS Divide 10 dogs equally into group A and group B for comparative study: make full isolation loop of small intestine; input hypersonic sample solution through vein after blocking the renal arteries to make the man made real failure models such as electrolytic disorder, azotemia and so on. Then at 0 5 hour and 5 hours after that, inject 0 9% NaCl 0 5 ml for group A and 0 025 mg?kg -1 of neostigmine for group B. Finally collect the secretion fluid of the small intestine loop and blood samples every 30 minutes from group A and group B respectively so as to determine the density of K + ,Na +, Cl -,UN, CR,UA in the small intestine fluid and blood samples of the two groups and calculate the clearance rate of each group.
