Objective:To explore the role of Th17 cells in the pathogenesis with Graves′disease (GD),through examining the proportion of peripheral of Th17 cells and the plasma levels of Interleukin-17 ( IL-17 ) before and after 131 I or methimazol ( MMI ) treatment with GD patients.Methods:We studied 31 subjects and 30 subjects with GD after 131 I or MMI treatment as 131 I therapy group and MMI therapy group and examined as before treatment (T0 ),one month (T1)and three months (T3)after the treatment.29 age-and sexmatched healthy subjects were enrolled as the healthy control group.The Th17 lymphocytes cells were investigated by flow cytometry analysis.The levels of serum IL-17 were measured by ELISA.Results:The proportion of peripheral Th17 cells and the levels of IL-17 were significantly increased in the T0 group GD patients compared with the control group( P<0.01).In the 131 I therapy group the levels of Th17 cells,IL-17 in T0,T1,T3 decreased gradually,but still higher than in normal group( P<0.01) .But there was no sig-nificant difference in MMI therapy group (P>0.05).The proportion of peripheral Th17 cells had positive relationship with the level of IL-17( r=0.758,P<0.05 ) .Both of them were associated positively with thyroid autoantibodies.Conclusion: Th17 cells, IL-17 are highly expressed in the GD.Th17 cells may play an important role in the pathogenesis of GD.In addition,radioactive 131 I may also work on GD via Th17 cells and IL-17.

Brain-computer interface (BCI) system is a system that achieves communication and control among humans and computers and other electronic equipment with the electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. This paper describes the working theory of the wireless smart home system based on the BCI technology. We started to get the steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) using the single chip microcomputer and the visual stimulation which composed by LED lamp to stimulate human eyes. Then, through building the power spectral transformation on the LabVIEW platform, we processed timely those EEG signals under different frequency stimulation so as to transfer them to different instructions. Those instructions could be received by the wireless transceiver equipment to control the household appliances and to achieve the intelligent control towards the specified devices. The experimental results showed that the correct rate for the 10 subjects reached 100%, and the control time of average single device was 4 seconds, thus this design could totally achieve the original purpose of smart home system.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the literature on power frequency electric field testing data and to propose views and suggestions for current testing.

METHODSThe literature on power frequency electric field testing data published in the previous years was searched to identify 306 articles involving 193 valid testing data. Mann-Whitney test and Wilcoxon W test were used for analyzing the testing data.

RESULTSThe classification of data was carried out according to one quarter of occupational exposure limit (1.25 kV/m), one half of the exposure limit (2.5 kV/m), and the exposure limit (5 kV/m). The structure of testing data showed a significant difference between the non-power facility group and the power facility group (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONAs occupational hazard factors, the radiation exposure from power frequency electric field is extensive. However, the power frequency electric field testing data in actual workplaces except high-voltage power facilities are far less than the occupational exposure limit with little harmfulness. There is a phenomenon of excessive testing at present.

Objective To investigate the abnormal brain activity of first-episode depression by rest-ing state functional magnetic resonance imaging ( fMRI) .Methods Twenty-one adolescent participants diag-nosed with depression(AD) and 18 healthy controls ( HC) were recruited.Resting state fMRI brain scans were performed on all participants.Regional homogeneity ( ReHo) approach was applied to preprocess the fMRI datasets.The value of ReHo maps were obtained in the whole brain.Results ReHo values in the AD group were higher than those in the healthy controls in the right inferior temporal gyrus ( MINI:66,-24,-20) ,left upper cingulate cortex (-27,47,-6) ,frontal polar (-24,59,14) ,after upper left cingulate cortex (-1,-16,35),after the bottom left cingulate cortex (-2,-38,32),left praecuneus (-1,-48,65) com-pared with that in the healthy controls (P<0.05) .ReHo in the AD group decreased in the right middle tempo-ral gyrus (45,-34,32) compared with that in the healthy controls (P<0.05).Conclusion Extensive ReHo abnormalities were found in the brains of patients with first-episode,drug-naive depression,and these abnor-malities in spontaneous neural activity may contribute to the neuropathology of adolescent depression.

Objective To investigate the effect of lineal polypeptide injection on immune function of severe sepsis patients in ICU.Methods 40 severe sepsis patients in ICU were randomly divided into two groups after signed the consent form:the treatment group (20 cases)and the control group (20 cases).On the 1st day of antibiotic therapy, the patients in the treatment group were simultaneously treated with lineal polypeptide intravenous injection,while the patients in the control group received the same routine treatment,but without lineal polypeptide injection,all with a 10 days treatment course.Blood bacteria culture and drug sensitivity test were completed after entering the hospital. The scores of Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)before treatment and at day 3,7 and 10 of therapy were evaluated.The peripheral blood of patients was taken and send to the clinical laboratory.The WBC,NEU%,PCT, hs -CRP,IL -6,total T lymphocytes (CD +3 )and T lymphocyte subgroup (CD +4 ,CD +8 ,CD +4 /CD +8 )were detected in both the treatment group and the control group.Adverse drug events were also detected in the process of therapy. Results Compared with before treatment[(5.56 ±2.03)points],after 7 days of lineal polypeptide therapy,the SOFA score of the treatment group[(3.48 ±1.83)points]decreased significantly(t =2.793,P <0.05),and after 10 days therapy,the descending degree in the treatment group was more significantly and declined earlier than the control group (t =4.401,P <0.01 ).In the aspect of improving the inflammatory markers,two groups were all improved after therapy,but the degree of improvement in the treatment group was better than the control group.After 7 days therapy,IL -6 level was (37.61 ±7.51)mg/L in the treatment group,while (50.49 ±7.68)mg/L in the control group (t =1.969,P <0.01),and the improvement of NEU% was not found in control group.In the aspect of improving the immune function,the CD +3 ,CD +4 ,CD +4 /CD +8 ratios were increased significantly [before therapy:(41.27 ±6.91)%,(19.65 ±5.29)% and (0.96 ±0.42);after 3 days therapy:(46.57 ±7.11 )%,(24.99 ± 7.70)%,(1.27 ±0.39)],and CD +8 [before therapy:(25.62 ±5.18)%,after 3 days therapy:(23.51 ±3.19)%] was decreased dramatically after 3 days of lineal polypeptide injection treatment,there was significant improvement in time and degree in the treatment group compared with the control group (t =1.390,t =1.407,t =3.974,t =2.081, all P <0.05).No severe adverse drug events were found.Conclusion As an immune modulator,lineal polypeptide injection could effectively improve the immune function of severe sepsis patients in ICU.

Objective To explore the effects of different anesthesia methods on cognitive function and serum interleukin-6 ( IL -6), interleukin -8 ( IL -8) levels in elderly patients with lung cancer during perioperative period.Methods From March 2015 to March 2017, ninety elderly patients undergoing radical resection of lung cancer treated in Heji Hospital Affiliated to Changzhi Medical College were selected in the research.According to the different anesthesia methods,they were divided into inhalation anesthesia group( A group),general intravenous anes-thesia group(B group) and epidural block anesthesia group(C group),with 30 cases in each group.The minimum mental state examination(MMSE) scores,cognitive dysfunction rate,serum IL-6 and IL-8 levels of the three groups before operation,one day after operation and three days after operation were compared.Results One day and three days after operation,the MMSE scores of C group were (25.62 ± 2.11) points,(27.12 ± 2.04) points,respectively, which were higher than those of group A[(22.61 ± 2.75) points,(25.78 ± 2.68)points] and B group[(22.34 ± 2.01)points,(25.81 ± 2.42) points],the differences were statistically significant(tA group =4.756,2.179,tB group =6.165,2.267,all P<0.05).One day and three days after operation,the cognitive dysfunction rates of C group were 26.67% (8/30),6.67% (2/30),respectively,which were lower than those of A group[50.00% (15/30),26.67% (8/30)] and B group[66.67% (20/30),30.00% (9/30)],the differences were statistically significant(χ2A group =3.455,4.320,χ2B group =9.643,5.455,all P<0.05).One day and three days after operation,the serum IL-6 and IL-8 levels of C group[IL-6:(99.53 ± 16.82)ng/mL,(83.24 ± 8.34) ng/mL,IL-8:(50.43 ± 7.84)ng/mL, (42.15 ± 5.25)ng/mL] were lower than those of A group[IL-6:(122.43 ± 18.41)ng/mL,(88.51 ± 10.42)ng/mL, IL-8:(64.53 ± 8.94)ng/mL,(55.62 ± 6.78) ng/mL] and B group[IL-6:(124.52 ± 20.10) ng/mL,(87.95 ± 9.34)ng/mL,IL-8:(63.27 ± 9.03)ng/mL,(54.62 ± 6.30) ng/mL],the differences were statistically significant (IL-6:tA group =5.030,2.163,tB group =5.222,2.060,all P<0.05;IL-8:tA group =6.495,8.604,tB group =5.881, 8.329,all P<0.05).Conclusion The influence of epidural block anesthesia on postoperative cognitive dysfunction in elderly patients with radical resection of lung cancer is minimal,which can inhibit the expression of inflammatory factors.It is better than the other two anesthesia methods,and it is worthy of radical operation for elderly patients with lung cancer.

Objective:To investigate the evaluation of disease perception, treatment compliance and community follow-up services of community schizophrenia patients, family members and personnel in Shantou City, and to provide a reference basis for improving the quality of management treatment.Methods:With the method of stratified sampling qualitative research, a community sample of 17 198 patients with schizophrenia in seven districts or county in Shantou City were sampled from February to August 2019, with 2 towns being drawn from each district or county, and 10 patients, 10 family members and 3 personnel were selected in each town. The evaluation of disease perception, treatment compliance and community follow-up services were investigated and analyzed. Respondents were eventually included in 137 patients, 138 family members and 41 personnel.The interviewees were conducted with semi-structured interviews, the data were collected according to traditional methods, and the descriptive statistical analysis was carried out with SPSS 12.0.Results:(1)34.3% of patients and 32.6% of the family members were not fully aware of the disease.22.6% of the patients and 23.2% of the family members had a sense of ill shame. (2)26.3% of patients did not comply with treatment, 29.9% of patients had not insight, 53.3% of patients and 24.6% of family members on the side effects of drugs and addiction understood improperly, and, 35.0% of patients and 13.0% of the family had a misunderstanding of illness and using drugs. (3)29.2% of patients and 31.2% of their families were tired of taking long-term medication, 24.8% of patients and 21.0% of their families felt socially isolated, and, 17.5% felt unsupported and 18.8% of their families admitted that they did not care enough about patients. (4)31.4% of patients did not actively receive follow-up services, 37.2% of patients and 20.3% of family members did not cooperate with follow-up doctors, and, 21.2% of patients and 10.1% of family members were not satisfied with follow-up services. (5)The personnel of psychiatric care could basically grasp the conditions of patients in the jurisdiction and carried out follow-up services on a regular basis (90.2%), master emergency disposal methods (92.7%), and have carried out training (97.6%). However, the psychiatric practice of the personnel were lower than (58.5%) and most lying part-time (78.0%), the average length of service was 5.7±1.4 years. The personnel satisfaction with the community follow-up service was higher (95.1%), but most of them thought that the psychiatric care was more difficult (36.6%), and were dissatisfied with the multi-functional staff to undertake a number of public services (31.7%).Conclusion:The management treatment project of mental disorders services in Shantou City show initial results.The patients were satisfied with the community follow-up service, but the patients and their families still have low level of cognition, poor compliance, obvious negative emotions, and have concerns about drug treatment.It is necessary to strengthen the professionalization of personnel, to carry out early mental health education and rational emotional behavior training for patients and their families.

Objective:To investigate the clinical value of Tyro3/Axl/Mertk (TAM) receptor tyrosine kinase and ligands in severity evaluation for acute pancreatitis (AP).Methods:The peripheral blood and clinical data of 27 patients with AP admitted in the Department of Gastroenterology of Shanghai General Hospital from February 2020 to July 2022 were prospectively selected. The patients were divided in to mild AP group (MAP, n=13), moderately severe AP (MSAP, n=10) and severe AP group (SAP, n=4) according to the 2012-revised Atlanta classification for AP. Another 10 healthy normal subjects were selected as the control group. The general information, biochemical indicators and blood cell analysis of the patients were recorded, and the levels of serum Gas6, protein S and soluble Axl (sAxl) were measured by ELISA. Linear regression equations were used to analyze the correlation of serum Gas6, protein S and sAxl levels with the white blood cell (WBC) counts, neutrophil percentages, lymphocyte percentages, and monocyte percentages of each group, and to assess the clinical value of Gas6, protein S and sAxl in predicting the severity of AP patients. Results:Compared with the control group, the serum Gas6 level [(31.3±13.0)ng/ml vs (21.2±2.6)ng/ml], protein S level [(24.4±11.3)μg/ml vs (17.7±3.4)μg/ml], and sAxl level [(9.0±4.4)ng/ml vs (6.6±1.3)ng/ml] were significantly higher in the AP group. The Gas6 level was significantly higher in the SAP group (54.1±13.7 ng/ml) than in the MAP group (31.0±9.4 ng/ml) and the MSAP group (25.2±8.9 ng/ml), and the differences were statistically significant (all P value <0.05). The Gas6 level was significantly positively correlated with the WBC count ( r=0.1733) and neutrophils percentage ( r=0.4424), and negatively correlated with lymphocyte percentage(r=-0.363), with statistically significant differences (all P value <0.05). The levels of protein S and sAXL were positively correlated WBC count and neutrophil percentage, and negatively correlated with monocyte percentage and lymphocyte percentage, but the differences were not statistically significant. Conclusions:The serum levels of Gas6 increase significantly with the severity grading of AP, which may serve as a relatively good predictor for the early severity assessment of AP.

Clinical features, laboratory data (erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein), and treatment outcomes were analyzed. Results: Definite microorganisms were identified in 27 patients (84.3%), with 24 (88.9%) meeting cure criteria. The cure rate was significantly higher in the detected pathogen group compared to the undetected pathogen group (88.9% vs. 80%; χ²=19.36, p<0.0001). Metagenomic next generation sequencing (mNGS) provided faster diagnosis (41.72±6.81 hours) compared to tissue culture (95.74±35.47 hours, p<0.05). The predominant causative pathogen was Mycobacterium tuberculosis, followed by Staphylococcus aureus. Significant improvements were observed in Visual Analog Scale pain scores, from a mean of 7.9 preoperatively to 1.06 at 1 year postoperatively. The Oswestry Disability Index revealed a similar trend, showing significant improvement (p<0.05). Conclusions UEDD is a viable alternative to traditional open surgery for managing IDS in high-risk patients. UEDD offers a dual therapeutic-diagnostic advantage during the initial admission phase, enabling simultaneous debridement, neurological decompression, and targeted biopsy in a single intervention. Compared with traditional tissue culture, mNGS enables rapid microbiological diagnosis and extensive pathogen coverage.
