4.Advances in research on the mechanism of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension:role of 15-LO/15-HETE
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
Hypoxic pulmonary hypertension(HPH) is a common disease featured by acute hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction(HPV) and chronic hypoxic pulmonary vascular remolding(HPVR) leading to the sustained increasing of pulmonary artery pressure. There are many mediators involved in the HPH but none can illustrate it successfully.Primary work has found 15-lipoxygenase(15-LO) and its catalyzed production 15-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid(15-HETE)(from arachidonic acid) are up-regulated in pulmonary vascular when exprosed to hypoxia. And it has been found 15-LO/15-HETE involved in many processes of both the HPV and HPVR,indicating 15-LO/15-HETE may be an important mediator of HPH.Advances research on 15-LO/15-HETE may illustrate the mechanism of HPH,and will give some message in looking for a potential clinical target of HPH.
5.Combined caudate lobectomy in Klatskin tumor: a systematic review
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2016;22(10):661-664
Objective To systematically review the risks and effectiveness of combined caudate lobectomy in Klatskin tumor. Methods A systematic literature search was conducted on PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,Scopus,CNKI databases and Chinese Bio Medical Literature (CBM).A systematic review and meta-analysis of the current literatures were conducted based on the PRISMA guideline.Odds ratios were calculated using the Mantel-Haenszel method. The primary outcome variables included safety, effectiveness of combined caudate lobectomy and its impact on long-term survival. Results Nine out of 312 articles were included. Results showed caudate lobectomy did not increase the incidence of postoperative complications (OR = 1.15;95 % CI 0.74-1.81;P > 0.05),but improved R0 resection rate (OR = 4.81;95 % CI 2.72 ~ 8.53;P < 0.01) and long-term survival in these patients (OR = 0.20;95% CI 0.11 ~ 0.39;P <0.01).Conclusion Combined caudate lobe resection is a safe and effective treatment for Klatskin tumor.

Objective To evaluate the biocompatibility of porous drug implant scaffolds prepared by 3D printing technique. Methods Porous drug implant scaffolds were fabricated by 3D printing technique, and a series of tests were carried out to validate the biocompatibility, including acute systemic toxicity, hot source test, local irritation reaction, micronucleus test, muscle implant test and so on. Results The porous drug implant scaffolds showed no acute systemic toxicity, no pyrogenetic effect, no local erythema and edema in local irritation re-action, hemolysis rate of 0.29%, no cellular genetoxic. No local tissue denaturation, necrosis and exclusion were found in intramuscular implant test. Conclusion With good biocompatibility, the porous drug implant scaffold fabricated by 3D printing technique can meet the clinical requirement for biomaterial.

Objective To prepare a new osteoinduction hydroxyapatite crystal material using sintered bovine bone combined with bone morphogenetic protein(BMP2)-derived peptide and type Ⅰ collagen, and to study their biological characteristics for developing biomaterials for orthopaedic tissue engineered bone. Methods Sintered bovine bone combined with BMP2-derived peptide and type Ⅰ collagen was as experimental group.and Sintered bovine bone combined with Type Ⅰ collagen Wag as control group.Formation of hydmxyapatite crystals was inveati gated under environmental scanning electron microscopy(ESEM),energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The ceil-material complex Wag observed and cell adhesion rate on each materials WaS calculated using the method of indirect cell count to evaluate the interaction between cells and materials. Results By ESEM,formation of hydroxyapatite crystals in collagen surface was observed in experimental group but none was observed in control group.By EDS and XRD,the contents of calcium and phosphorus elements from mineralized bone surface were 16.23% and 7.76%respectively.The atom percentages of calcium and phosphorus elements were 6.34%and 3.88%respectively.The cell adhesion rate of experimental group after 24 hours co-culture was significantly higher than that of control group (α<0.05).Conclusion BMP2-derived peptide can induce the formation of hydroxyapatite crystals at the surface of sintered bovine bone combined with type Ⅰcollagen. It can also elevate the osteoinduction and cell adhesion rate and is an ideal scaffold material by combining with sintered bovine bone for the bone tissue engineering.

Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(04):-
Objective To Observe both curative and side effects of rhIL-11(recombinant human interleukin 11)in preventing and curing thrombocytopenia caused by chemotherapy. Methods From May 2003 to May 2004,research was done in the Department of Oncology,General Hospital of Shenyang Military Region by adopting double-blind placebo contrast and self cross-over study methods on 42 non-small cell lung cancer patients who had received GC chemotherapy. The effects of rhIL-11 and placebo on the minimal number of thrombocytes and their toxins were compared.24 hours later after the medicine for chemotherapy was given,rhIL-11 was administered hypodermically to the patients at the amount of 25 ?g/kg for 7 to 14 days. When the thrombocyte number was higher than 300?10~9/L,the administration of rhIL-11 was stopped. Results RhIL-11 could obviously increase the minimal number of thrombocytes during chemotherapy and reduce the times for blood transfusion. The side of rhIL-11 were mild edema, weariness and symptoms of catching cold. Conclusion RhIL-11 plays an obvious role in preventing and curing thrombocytopenia caused by chemotherapy, and has safe and definite curative effects without serious effects.

Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2006;0(19):-
Objective To provide basis for treatment and prognosis judgement in order to further normalize diagnosis on non-small-cell lung cancer. Methods The diagnostic results of 146 cases with non-small-cell lung cancer were collected and analyzed. The patients received treatment in our department from Feb.2002 to Aug.2005.Results There were 123 cases of complete pathologic diagnosis, accounting for 84.2% of the total results;among other things there were 42 cases(28.8%)that obtained pathologic diagnosis through operation. There were respectively 31 cases(21.2%),18 cases(12.3%),15 cases(10.3%)and 11 cases(7.5%)that obtained diagnosis through phlegmy cytological examination, lymph node needle biopsy, hydrothorax cytology and bronchoscope among 104 cases without operation. There were 23 cases accounting for 15.7% through clinical diagnosis(on the basis of clinical physical sign and video examination without definite pathologic diagnosis). Conclusion To form a definite pathological diagnosis on tumors before treatment makes treatment be exact and helps to judge tumor development and prognosis.
