Cancer Research and Clinic 2010;22(11):758-760
Objective To study the effect of somatostatin on the Proliferation in Human HepG2 Cells and the Level of Gene p16. Methods The cell line HepG2 were divided into 3 groups: control groupA, low concentration group B and high concentration group C. The flow cytometry (FCM) was used to detect phase distribution of the cycles and detect the expression of p16 gene by using RT-PCR. Results Human HepG2 cells affected 24 hours later by different density SST, using FCM, we discovered that the G1 cell cycles of each A group, B group, C group occupied the proportion respectively is (51.41±3.27)%, (65.43±3.41)%, (69.02±3.75)%, that the S cell cycles is (36.86±2.31)%, (20.34±2.52)%, (18.50±3.09)%, that the G2 cell cycles is (11.46±1.96)%, (14.23±3.83)%, (12.48±3.18)%. Compare to the control groupA, the G1 cell cycles of groupB and group C were increased obviously. But the S cell cycles relatively reduced. The levels of p16 gene were expressed in each group detected by RT-PCR, but B group and C group expressed obviously. Conclusion The inhibited mechanism of somatostatin for HepG2 was expressed probably by improving levels of p16.
2.Expression of platelet-derived growth factor and its receptor at human and mouse neuromuscular junctions
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2008;15(5):442-444
Objective To investigate the immunoreactivity of platelet-derived growth factor-A (PDGF-A) and its receptor at human and mouse neuromuscular junctions and to explore their regulatory effects on neuromuscular junctions. Methods Specific polyclonal antibodies were used to detect PDGF-A and PDGF a-receptor expression. Double immunohistochemistry for platelet-derived growth factor and the acetylcholine receptor was performed on normal human muscle biopsy specimens. Double fluorescence labeling was applied to detect immunoreactivity for PDGF-A, its receptor and acetylcholine receptors. Results PDGF-A and its receptor was closely co-localized with acetylcholine receptors at human and mouse neuromuscular junctions. Conclusion PDGF-A and its receptor concentrated at human and mouse neuromuscular junctions. PDGF might be involved in the interaction between the presynaptic and postsynaptic components, PDGF-A and its receptor might play regulatory role in signaling at neuromuscular junctions in normal muscle.

5.Evaluation of flight attendants' ocular surface after different refractive corrections
International Eye Science 2017;17(10):1982-1984
AIM:To evaluate flight attendants' ocular surface after different refractive corrections. ·METHODS:Forty-two flight attendants (84 eyes) were enrolled in the study. Those flight attendants, who were followed up from September 2014 to September 2016, all followed the doctor's orders. According to different refractive corrections, those flight attendants were divided into 4 groups: corneal refractive surgery group, soft contact lens group, rigid gas permeable contact lens ( RGP) group and control group without any refractive corrections. OSDI scores, tear meniscus heights, BUTs, fluorescein staining scores and Schirmer's tests were taken and analyzed. ·RESULTS: Compared with the control group, OSDI scores were worse, tear meniscus heights ( TMH ) were reduced, BUTs were shortened, fluorescein staining(FS) scores were worse, Schirmer's Tests ( SⅠt) were shorter in soft contact lens group and corneal refractive surgery group (P<0. 05). However, the above parameters did not change significantly in RGP group ( P>0. 05 ) . There was no significant difference in lid margin abnormalities among the four groups (F=3. 82, P=0. 45). ·CONCLUSION: RGP can improve flight attendants'ocular surface micro-environment.
6.Chronic Renal Failure Complicated by Primary Hypothyroidism
Tianjin Medical Journal 2000;28(12):726-728
Objective: To investigate the clinical features of chronic renal failure (CRF) complicated by primary hypothyroidism. Methods: Thyroid function, thyroid microsome antibody ( TM), and thyroid globulin antibody (TG) were determined withradioimmunoassay in 23 CRF complicated by primary hypothyroidism patients, and the serum calcium, phosphorus, potassi-um, cholesterol, glucose, urea nitrogen, hemoglobulin, and endogenous creatinine clearance rate were also assayed. Thirty-onepatients with only CRF were in control group. Results:The level of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), Ch, and Ca in pa-tients with CRF complicated by primary hypothyroidism were higher than that in control group, and serum free T4 (FT4),K,and P were lower than that in control group. The others had no difference between two groups. TG and TM increased in2 cases. Conclusion:The most important criteria in diagnosing CRF complicated by primary hypothyroidism is TSH twotimes higher than normal upper limit. The others include decreased FT4, normal level of Ca, P, and K, and increased Ch,TG,and TM. The diagnosis should be performed combined with clinical manifestations.
