1.Subjective Well-being in College Students
Chinese Mental Health Journal 1992;0(01):-
Objective: To explore the influence of esteem, social support, locus of control and other variables on the subjective well-being (SWB) of college students. Methods: Index of Well-being, SSRS (social support rating scale) and MMCS (multi-dimensional multi-attribution causality scale) were used in 400 college students. Results: Urban and rural students differed in SWB, there was no significant difference in SWB between male and female. SWB was positively correlated with self-esteem and social support. SWB in the group of "external locus of control" was lower than that of"middle locus of control" and of"inner locus of control", while there was no significant difference between the later two groups. Conclusion:This study provides a base for further study on SWB of students.
2.Experimental study of chitosan on proliferation of bladder epithelial cells in vitro in rabbit ZHENG
Chinese Journal of Urology 2008;29(z1):31-34
Objective To study chitosan's improving proliferation effect to the bladder epithelial cells, thus providing experlimental foundation for the treatment of interstitial cystitis. Methods Bladder epithelial cells were harested by the enzymatic digestion of the epithelium exposed by the eversion of reseeted New-Zealand hare's bladder. The cells were cultured in different concentrations(0.3、0.6、1.2、2.4、4.8 g/L)of chitosan group and control group, after 72 h,observing their growth and proliferation with optical microscopy; The effects of chitosan on proliferation of rabbit bladder epithelial cells were studied by NAG assay.EGFR mRNA was measured by PT-PCR.Results The growth of cells in the sample added chitosan is much better than that of in the control group.Chitosan could promote the proliferation of bladder epithelial cells at higher than 0.3 g/L of concentration in a dose dependent way.The optimum concentration to increase proliferation of eonjunctival epithelial cells was 1.2 g/L.The proliferative effect of EGFR mRNA increased with the elevated chitosan concentration after 72 h.Conclusions Chitosan can promote the growth of the bladder epithelial eell, which can provides a valuable evidence for further studies of interstitial cystitis's treatment. This proliferation effect is perhaps related to chitosan's promoting EGFR combinating specificity with EGFR.

Chinese Mental Health Journal 2001;15(2):81-82,87
Objective: To explore how social support in students of normal college related to their interpersonal attribution and philosophies of human nature, and whether social support varied with different subgroups. Method: Social Support Rating Scale, the Multidimentional-Multiattributional Causality Scale and Revised Philosophies of Human Nature Scale were used in 414 students of a normal university. Result: The social support of students differed significantly among different departments, students of science had lower social support than students of art or sport had. There was no significant difference of social support between sexes, different grades, of urban or rural area. Social support was significantly correlated with "effort" attribution of interpersonal relationship, but not with "ability, background or luck". Social support was positively related to trustworthiness, while negatively to cynicism. Conclusion: This result fits for the common sense of Chinese and people elsewhere.

Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine 2010;49(10):836-840
Objective To analyze the clinical features of patients with hemophagocytic syndrome (HPS) in autoimmune diseases (AID). Methods We collected the data of 11 patients with AID complicated with HPS in Peking Union Medical College Hospital from 2004 to 2009. The underlying diseases, clinical features, laboratory findings and treatment outcomes were retrospectively analyzed. Results Of the 11 patients,3 were male,8 were female. Mean age was (30. 7 ± 18. 3) years. The underlying diseases included Still disease ( n = 4 ), systemic lupus erythematosus ( n = 3 ), and rheumatoid arthritis, primary Sj(o)gren's syndrome, Wegener granulomatosis and Crohn disease in each one case. HPS was associated with the onset of AID ( n = 4), active infection alone ( n = 1 ) and both factors ( n = 6 ). HPS was clinically characterized by high fever ( 100% ), hepatosplenomegaly ( 72. 7% ) , lymphadenopathy ( 63.3% ) and central nervous system involvement (36. 3% ). 4 patients presented with disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC) (36. 3% ). Laboratory data mainly manifested with cytopenia ( 100% ), liver dysfunction ( 100% ), hypofibrinogenemia ( 62. 5% ), hypertriglyceridemia ( 81.8% ), serum ferritin > 500 μg/L (100%), low NK-cell activity(80% ) and hemophagocytosis in bone marrow( 100% ). Based on treating underlying infections and use of corticosteroids and immunosuppressive agents in combination with intravenous immunoglobulins(IVIG) therapy, 5 patients recovered , 6 patients died. The mortality rate was 54. 5%. DIC were associated with mortality ( r = 0. 69, P = 0. 019 ). Conclusion The episode of HPS always occurs simultaneously with multiple system involvement that was often difficult to distinguish from active AID. The present of DIC on HPS related with poor prognosis and high mortality. Corticosteroids and immunodepressant and IVIG may improve the prognosis of HPS, while anti-infection therapy is very important and necessary for the patients accompany with active infection.
