1.Recent progress on study of the selection of intraocular lens in the bilateral sequential cataract surgery
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2014;32(6):560-562
Bilateral sequential cataract surgery is very common in clinical, but the ophthalmologists often ignore how to choose the timing of operation and whether the first eye can be used to improve the intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation for the second one.Despite the refinements in IOL selection with the use of third-generation IOL formulas,5% of eyes still result in a postoperative refractive surprise of ± 1.00 D or more. This paper introduced the methods of using refraction error of the first eye to improve the IOL power calculation for the second eye,and the refractive error of the second eye can be improved by modifying the IOL power to correct up to 50% of the error from the first eye in details.Because of the variation of the postoperative refractive surprise within a month, the interval of three to four weeks between two eyes cataract surgery is highly recommended. These conclusions may provide the advantageous guidance for us in the selection of IOL in bilateral cataract surgery.
2. Pharmacokinetics of fondaparinux sodium in Chinese patients after major thoracic surgery
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2012;47(24):2022-2025
OBJECTIVE: To characterize the pharmacokinetics of a single dose of 2.5 mg fondaparinux sodium in Chinese patients after thoracic surgery. METHODS: Thirteen patients were enrolled in the study and were given a single dose of 2.5 mg fondaparinux sodium via a subcutaneous injection. Plasma concentrations of fondaparinux sodium were measured throughout a 24 h period. The pharmacokinetic analysis was performed using WinNonlin software. RESULTS: The following pharmacokinetic parameters were derived; t1/2(7.92 ± 3.13) (4.21-15.89) h, tmax(2.52 ± 0.93) (1.38-4) h, p-1 (0.73 ± 0.18) (0.45-1.02) mg · L-1, AUClast(6. 56 ± 2.19) (3.07-9. 75)mg · h · L-1, Vz/F(3.54 ± 1.00) (2.24-5.73) L, CL/F(0.34 ± 0.14) (0.16-0.63) L · h-1, and MRTlast (6.98 ± 2.1) h. The pearson correlation coefficient, r was 0.7283(P = 0.005) between the serum creatinine(Scr) and mean residence time(MRTlast) of fondaparinux. CONCLUSION: The disposition of fondaparinux is highly variable in patients. A statistical significant correlation between Scr and MRTlast of fondaparinux was observed. Fondaparinux sodium administered by intravenous injection is well tolerated in patients.
3.Abnormal Autophagy in Pathogenesis of Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2015;(11):683-686
Inflammatory bowel disease( IBD)is a chronic and nonspecific intestinal inflammatory disease caused by multiple factors such as environment, genetic susceptibility and immune disturbance. Autophagy plays an important role in cellular homeostasis and immune. Autophagy abnormalities may be involved in the pathogenesis of IBD. Genome-wide association studies(GWAS)have provided compelling evidence that autophagy related genes, including ATG16L1,IRGM and NOD2,are significantly associated with IBD. This article reviewed the abnormal autophagy in pathogenesis of IBD.
4.Study on the treatment of chloasma with traditional Chinese medicine regulating menstruation
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(5):475-477
Chloasma is a kind of skin disease with pigmentation on the face, which can be frequently seen in child-bearing age women. The disease is caused by Zangfu dysfunction, Qi and blood deficiency. For women, the generation of chloasma is closely related to their menstruation. Regulating the menstrual function with traditional Chinese medicine and balancing the body's internal environment can be very useful for achieving the balance between Yin and Yang within Zangfu, and regulating Qi and blood, which will not only desalt pigment, but also can improve the symptom related to menstruation with low recurrence rate after drug withdrawal. This method can be used alone or with other methods in clinic, has achieved significant effect.
5.Comparison of the system of medical humanities education among the United States, Britain and China
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2015;(3):224-227
The difference in history of development, the curriculum and teaching content of medical humanities education have been compared and researched among the United States, Britain and China, and the questionnaire survey have been conducted to the students from HeBei Medical University, to find the disadvantages and willingness to reform in medical humanities education in China. Based on the successful experience on Medical Humanistic Education from foreign countries, suggestions were put forward such as increased emphasis on medical humanities education, reasonable arrangements for medical education curriculum, creating a good atmosphere on campus, making the medical education to match the social demand, and providing scientific basis for the development of medical humanities education.
6.Treatment of Post-endoscopic Sphincterotomy Bleeding
Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2016;(1):59-61
In recent years, endoscopic technique has become a basic procedure for the diagnosis and treatment of biliary and pancreatic diseases, thus the procedure-related complications of ERCP and endoscopic sphincterotomy(EST) become prominent day by day. Post-EST bleeding is one of the most serious complications of the procedure, and its first line treatment involves a variety of endoscopic techniques, such as epinephrine or fibrin glue local injection, electric coagulation and heat probe, clamps and covered metal stents. If these are not successful, transcatheter arterial embolization or surgical operation should be considered. In this article, the above-mentioned treatment modalities of post-EST bleeding were reviewed.
7.Research Progress in Angiotensin Ⅱ as Target Spot in TCM Anti-renal Fibrosis
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(4):125-128
Renal fibrosis is the final common pathway for all kinds of chronic kidney diseases to end-stage renal diseases. Angiotensin Ⅱ plays an important role in the process of renal fibrosis. How to block angiotensin Ⅱ has been a focus of nephrology. This article reviewed the progress in traditional Chinese medicine against renal fibrosis with angiotensin Ⅱ as research target.
8.One Yin-Yang Wu-Xing Model of TCM
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2008;6(5):266-268
Although Yin-Yang Wu-Xing (Yin-Yang and Five-Elements, subsystems of human body) has been the theoretical basis of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for more than 5 000 years, it has been primarily analytical or empirical in nature without a formal scientific foundation. Based on bipolar set theory, an equilibrium/non-equilibrium computational model of Yin-Yang Wu-Xing is proposed. The Yin-Yang Wu-Xing dynamical systems are formulated so that equilibrium and non-equilibrium conditions can be established and proved. Computer simulations of equilibrium and non-equilibrium processes show that this new approach can provide diagnostic decision support in TCM. Thus, this equilibrium-based approach provides a unique scientific basis for future research in TCM, Qi (vital energy), QiGong, Meridians and Collaterals (acupuncture channels) and herbal treatment. On the other hand, it provides a basic Yin-Yang cellular network architecture for modem scientific research in genomics such that regulation mechanisms of the ubiquitous YY1 protein for cell processes can be explained.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(12):-
It is now generally recognized that repairing of defect bones is one of the major issues in bone tissue engineering research. However, nowadays massive bone defect because of injury, infection or tumor removal has not been effectively solved in clinic. One of the key issues in bone tissue engineering is finding suitable biodegradable materials substitutes and scaffolds for seeding cells and guiding the subsequent growth of bone. The design and fabrication of bone tissue engineering scaffolds are overviewed as well as the development of the scaffold materials.
