1.It is a Key Content of Medical Ethics Behavior to Show Loving Care for & Communicate
Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(05):-
This article analyses the function of communication in the medical ethics behavior and points out the importance of communication in the fields of cognition, emotion and will.It believes that cognitive communication contributes to removing the patients' doubt and explain puzzles, emotional communication contributes to dispelling the patients' anxious and depressed mood, and will communication contributes to arousing the patients' disease resistant will,so it's the bounden responsibility for doctors to communicate with patients actively from these three aspects.

Objective:To study the preparation of total leaves saponins of panax notoginseng liposomal gels and evaluate the quali-ty. Methods:The total leaves saponins of panax notoginseng liposomes were prepared by the film-dispersion method, and the formula was optimized by the orthogonal experimental design. A high-speed centrifugation method was applied to determine the encapsulation efficiency used as the evaluation index for the optimization of the preparation process. Then the gels were prepared and an HPLC meth-od was used to determine the content of ginsenoside Rb3 . The stability was preliminarily studied as well. Results:The preparation was semi-solid, and viscous gels with low skin irritation and good stability. The quality was accordance with the relevant provisions in Chi-nese Pharmacopoeia (2010 edition). Conclusion: The gels are with the properties of simple preparation process, reliable detection methods and stable and controllable quality.

Aim To investigate the protection effect of icariin on isoproterenol induced neonatal rat cardiomyocytes injury. Methods Isolation of cardiomyocytes from Sprague-Dawley rats aging 1~3 d were performed.Cardiomyocytes were grown in DMEM culture medium containing 15% fetal bovine serum. The cell density was adjusted to 1?105~5?105 cells?L-1,and the suspension was pipetted into each well of culture plates.Cells were incubated at 37 ℃ in 5% CO_2 atmosphere for 72 h.Cultured rat cardiomyocytes were divided into different groups:control,0.5 mmol?L-1 isoproterenol(model),and therapeutic groups with 0.1,1 and 10 ?mol?L-1 icariin.Cell viability was analyzed using MTT assay. The potential of mitochondrial membrane was determined by laser scanning confocal microscope.Apoptotic cells were detected by using flow cytometric analysis. Results Compared with the control group, the cell activity was lower in model group(P

Objective In order to screen effective traditional Chinese medicine compounds to prevent and control porcine respiratory disease syndrome ( PRDC) , seven compound preparations of traditional Chinese medicine were tested and to analyze their antitussive and expectorant effects in mice .Methods Two hundred 6-week old ICR mice ( male∶fe-male=1∶1) were used in this study .Dextromethorphan and ammonium chloride were used as positive control drugs , and physiological saline was used as blank control .The antitussive and expectorant effects of the seven Chinese medicine com-pounds (groups 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) were observed by ammonia-induced cough model and tracheal phenol red secretion method in mice .Results The results showed that compounds 7 and 5 significantly prolonged the cough incubation period (P <0.05), and reduced the cough times within 5 min (P <0.05).Except for the group 4, tracheal phenol red excre-tion in the other groups was significantly lower than that of blank control group (P <0.05), and phenol red excretion in the mice of groups 7, 5 and ammonium chloride group was significantly lower than that in other treatment groups ( P <0.05).Conclusions The Chinese medicine compounds 5 and 7 show most evident expectorant effects , and worthy of fur-ther validation of them as a drug in the treatment of porcine respiratory disease syndrome .

AIM: To explore the molecular mechanism of Radix Ophioponis against vascular endothelial cell (VEC) apoptosis induced by LPS. METHODS: The apoptosis of human umbilical vascular endothelial cells(HUVEC) was induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS). The influence of Radix Ophiopogonis on the expression of bcl-2 and intracellular Ca 2+ was detected by flow cytometry and laser confocal microscope. RESULTS: The serum containing Radix Ophiopogonis suppressed the increase in bcl-2 expression and overloading of Ca 2+ induced by LPS in HUVEC.CONCLUSION: The mechanism of Radix Ophiopogonis against HUVEC apotosis may be related with its regulatory effect on bcl-2 expression and remission of Ca 2+ overloading.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(08):-
Aim To investigate whether d-?-tocopherol supplementation had protective effect on the pro-oxidant-antioxidant state following chronic ethanol treatment in mouse liver and its underlying mechanism. Methods Mice were randomly divided into 5 groups:control(NC),ethanol control(EC),d-?-tocopherol 1(TOC 1),d-?-tocopherol 2(TOC 2)and d-?-tocopherol 3(TOC 3)group.After ingesting ethanol(2.4 g ethanol?kg-1 bw),the mice were treated by d-?-tocopherol(25,50,100 mg?kg-1 bw?d-1,respectively),meanwhile,the normal control group and ethanol control group(2.4 g ethanol?kg-1 bw)were set up.The activities of glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),superoxide dismutase(SOD),ATPase and glutathione-S transferase(GST)in liver were measured, meanwhile the concentration of malondialdehyde(MDA)was determined when the mice were continuously treated for 60 d.Results There was significant change in all indices between the ethanol control group and normal control group(P

Objective To study the effects of epigallocatechin-3-gallate(EGCG) on noise-induced cochlear injuries. Methods A total of 45 guinea pigs were divided into three groups: the EGCG+noise exposure group, the normal saline+noise exposure group, and the control group.15 Guinea pigs in each group. For EGCG administration, the guinea pigs were given abdominal injection (25 mg/1 000 g) 1 day before and 1 hour before noise exposure (120 dB SPL, 4 h),where for the control group, the guinea pigs received nothing. The hearing function was detected by the auditory brainstem response (ABR) recording after noise exposure immediately, and at 1,3,7, and 14 days after noise exposure. On the 14th day, the cochlea were isolated, and the cells morphology of basal membrane and vascular stria, the outer hair cell movement protein (Prestin), and the 3-nitrotyrosine (3-NT) were examined by immunohistochemistry staminy. Results After noise exposure, ABR thresholds in the EGCG group were higher than that of in the control group(P<0.05), but lower than the normal saline group(P<0.05),though the differences between the other two groups became smaller from day 3.Immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining showed that the three rows of outer hair cells of the control group with Prestin protein stained were arranged neatlyand lack of cell absent, and 3-NT was mainly distributed in the cytoplasm and epidermis.Compared with the normal saline + noise group, after noise exposure, the outer hair cells of EGCG + noise group were in better shape, and prestin staining was clear.Besides, the basal membrane and vascular stria were slightly damaged, the cells arranged neatly and the 3-NT distribution was decreased. Conclusion Preventive intraperitoneal injection of EGCG may reduce cochlea damage caused by noise.
