Objective To study the location of embryonic optic cup stem cells during tailbud stage. Methods The embryonic optic cup at embryonic day 11～15 (E11～15) in rats was sectioned horizontally at 15 ?m thick. The distributive characteristics of embryonic optic cup progenitor cells were revealed by immunohistochemistry. Results ①The distribution of optic cup progenitors was mainly aggregated on the optic cup at E12.5. CHX10-positive cells were organized as stratified epithelium arrangement on optic cup inner layer. Clusters of CHX10-positive cells were observed at the edge of optic cup; ② Pigment appeared in the outer layer of optic cup at E13.5, and differentiation into ganglion cells was initiated. Conclusion The distribution of optic cup stem cells is mainly aggregated on the optic cup at E12.5 in which the differentiation into ganglion cells is not initiated.

Background and objective To assess the predictive value of C-reactive protein(CRP) for major adverse cardiac events and the association between CRP level and the coronary lesion morphology and extent in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods CRP was measured on admission in 177 consecutive elderly (age≥60 years) patients with CHD who underwent coronary angiography. Patients were divided into high CRP group (CRP≥3mg/L) and normal CRP group (CRP ＜3mg/L). The association between CRP levels and the coronary lesion features, including severity of stenosis (mild, moderate, severe), extent of lesion (diffused or nondiffused), eccentricity of the plaque (eccentric or non-eccentric) were analyzed. Patients were followed up for a mean of 8 months for the occurrences of major adverse cardiac events (MACE). Results Compared with patients in normal CRP group, patients in high CRP group were more frequently to have unstable angina, multi-vessel, diffuse, eccentric lesions, positive remodeling, and non-smooth plaques (P＜0.01). Kaplan-Meier analysis showed patients in high CRP group had a significantly lower MACE-free survival rate than patients in normal CRP group (Log-rank = 12.0, P＜0.01); Cox regression analysis indicated CRP level as an independent predictor for the occurrence of MACE (OR=3.16, P＜0.05) Conclusions High CRP level is associated with more extend, severe and eccentric coronary lesions and is an independent predictor for MACE in elderly patients with CHD.

Objective To survey the satisfaction degree of the postgraduates in professional degree with The Joining Together of Double-Track education model in the current stage of professional degree graduate education and standardized training of residents in China. Methods According to various factors, such as the current situation of postgraduates in medical universities, we sought the opinions of relevant experts to design questionnaire. Meanwhile, to enhance the reliability of the questionnaire and the survey, we chose the postgraduates of Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University first to do the pre-survey, and according to the feedback, we adjusted part of the aspects, thus formed a formal questionnaire, which included the satisfaction with training of clinical practice ability, training of research ability, and tutors' assessment etc. Finally, the Chinese New Youth Forum online released the questionnaires, selecting the postgraduates in professional degree who were participating in, or had participated in the completion of the standardized training as the participants, which took place between March 2016 and May 2016. SPSS 16.0 was used for statistical analysis. The evaluation results of different majors were tested by Kruskal-Wallis rank sum test. Results According to the results of the survey, the aspects in the clinical resident standard-ized training that the 1000 postgraduates were more satisfied with were as follows: training time [42.8%(n=428)], training center [41.8% (n=418)], training of clinical practice ability [41.6% (n=416)], tutors [40.2%(n=402)], economic income [38.8%(n=388)], department arrangements [38.4% (n=384)], training of research ability [37.5%(n=375)]. There is a significant difference in the satisfaction degree of different pro-fessional graduate students in theJoining Together of Double-Trackeducation model (P<0.05). ConclusionThe Joining Together of Double-Track education model should be compatible with the training objectives of postgraduates in professional degree. Much more attention should be paid to the post-graduates, satisfac-tion degree with the clinical resident standardized training, as well as the requirements during the training period, improve the evaluation of graduate students' ability of scientific research, econo-mic income and so on, so as to improve the training system for the postgraduates.

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of oral taking traditional Chinese medicine with functions of tonifying kidney, nourishing blood and soothing liver and external application treatment of premature ovarian failure(POF). Methods 40 patients of deficiency of liver-yin and kidney-yin type POF in Gynecology Department of Xiyuan Hospital CACMS from July 2009 to July 2013 were collected and administrated with traditional Chinese medicine with functions of tonifying kidney, nourishing blood and soothing liver and external treatment for 3 months. The changes of menstruation situation, symptoms and serum sex hormone were compared before and after the treatment. Results ① Menstruation integral were reduced after the treatment, showing a statistical significance compared with those before the treatment(t=5.694,P<0.01). ② Symptoms integral were reduced after the treatment, showing a statistical significance compared with those before the treatment(t=21.828,P<0.01). ③ Serum FSH, LH were decreased and Serum E2 were increased after the treatment,showing a statistical significance compared with those before the treatment(P<0.05). ④ The total effective rate was 92.5%(37/40). Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine with functions of tonifying kidney, nourishing blood and soothing liver are effective for treating POF. These methods had proven to improve ovarian function by decreasing high level of FSH and LH, whereas enhancing the estrogen level, and therefore promote menstruation cycle.

Objective To compare the dijference of prostate cancer detection rate (PCDR) between 12 + 1-core biopsy and 6-core biopsy of the prostate system guided by transrectal ultrasonography (TRUS).Methods The clinical data of 2 707 patients with prostate biopsy from July 1999 to June 2012 were retrospectively analyzed.These patients were 54 to 92 years old,mean age was 69 years old.The range of PSA was 0.02-158.56 ng/ml,with an average of 16.97 ng/mt.People in the range of PSA 0-4.00,4.01-10.00,10.01-20.00,20.01-30.00,and ＞ 30.00 were 161,826,827,312,581,respectively.The volume of the prostate ranged from 14.1 to 82.6 cm3,mean 47.9 cm3.The 1 603 cases before the July 2009 were performed 6-core biopsy guided by the finger,followed by 1104 TRUS-guided 12 + 1-core biopsy.In addition,after March 2012,60 patients accepeted the MRI examination before prostate biopsy.The strategy of prostate biopsy was medial 6-core,lateral 6-core,the 13th core was positioned at abnormal signal area of TRUS and MRI.Explore the difference of PCDR medial 6-core,lateral 6-core,systematic 12-and 12 + 1-core,and the difference of 13th core and the other 12 cores,with the cut off value of PSA quartile of 30 ng/ml and PV quartile of 46 cm3.Results Comparison of clinical characteristics of prostate biopsy between positive group and negative group was performed,and the result suggested that The positive outcome of prostate cancer biopsy was related with element such as high PSA,old age [(71.7 ±7.1)vs.(68.3 ± 8.1),P =0.008],large fPSA [(8.5 ± 36.4) vs.(2.3 ± 3.4),P ＜ 0.001],small prostate volume [(41.3 ±22.9) vs.(52.3 ±29.3),P ＜0.001],small value of f/t[(0.12 ± 0.07) vs.(0.17 ±0.10,P ＜0.001)],high density of PSA [(2.04 ± 9.36) vs.(0.32 ± 0.42),P ＜ 0.001],digital rectal examination [72.0％ (522/725) vs.23.1％ (457/1 982),P ＜ 0.001],irregular echo level [41.1％ (695/1 693) vs.28.0％ (284/1 014),P ＜ 0.001],hypoechoic [64.3％ (695/1 081) vs.17.5％ (284/1 626),P ＜ 0.001],microcalcifcation[56.8％ (586/1 032) vs.23.5％ (393/ 675),P ＜ 0.001].PCDR of 12 + 1-core biopsy was significantly higher than lateral 6-core biopsy[41.5％ (458/1 104)vs.37.0％ (408/1 104),P =0.033].However,PCDR of 12-core biopsy had no statistical differences with 6-core biopsy[40.7％ (449/1 104) vs.37.0％ (408/1 104),P =0.081].PCDR of TRUS-guided biopsy was higher than that of finger-guided biopsy in patients with PSA≤30 ng/ml and PV ＞46 cm3 [30.0％ (254/846)vs.22.2％ (284/1 280),P ＜0.001;31.7％ (124/391)vs.18.1％ (131/723),P ＜0.001].PCDR of the 13th core positioned at abnormal signal area of TRUS and MRI was higher than the average PCDR of other 12 cores [70.9％ (107/151) vs.56.6％ (3 109/5 496),P ＜ 0.001].Conclusion PCDR of TRUS-guided biopsy was higher than that of finger-guided biopsy in patients with PSA≤30 ng/ml and PV ＞46 cm3.PCDR of 12 + 1-core biopsy was significantly higher than that of lateral 6-core biopsy.However,PCDR of 12-core biopsy had no statistical differences with that of 6-core biopsy.PCDR of the 13th core positioned at abnormal signal area of TRUS was higher than the average PCDR of other 12 cores.

Objective To investigate the effects of ciyelosporine-A(CsA).a calcinenrin(CAN)inhibitor,on electrophysiological propertiesof atria in canine tachycardia-induced model of AF.Methods Eighteen healthy adult mongrel canines weighing 17.0 to 23.2 kg(rangedfrom 2 to 4 years old)were randomized to 3 groups,Sham group(no pacemaker was implanted),atrial tachypacing group(ATP group)each group at baseline and after 8 weeks' tachypacing.Measurements included atrial effective refractory period(AERP),conductionvelocity(CV),wave length(WE),atrial fibrillation load and rate-adaptability. Results After 8 weeks' atrial tachypacing,ATP andCsA groups showed significant longer duration of the P wave,shorter AERP,decreased adaptation of AERE slower CV,shorter Wland longer AF duration compared to the shamg roup (all P＜0.05).AERP of the CsA group was longer than that of ATP group (P＜0.05),but there were no differences in rate-adaptability,CV,incidence of induced AF and AF duration between CsA group and ATP group.Conclusions Our results suggest that calcineurin pathway intervention by CsA have a positive effect on tachycardia-inducedelectrical remodeling of atria,but can not prevent or reverse AF.

Objective: To investigate the value of positron emission tomography/computerized tomography(PET/CT) with fluorine-18-labeled fluorodeoxyglucose(18FDG) for gastric carcinoma.Methods: Thirty-two patients(25 males,7 females,aged 31-82 years) suspected of gastric carcinoma underwent whole-body PET/CT after taking in 600 ml of water to distend the gastral cavity.The maximal standard uptake value(SUVmax) of the region of interest(ROI) in PET and the maximum width of the gastric wall in CT were analyzed.Pathological specimens were obtained from all the patients during surgery or gastroscopy.Results: 18FDG PET/CT found gastric carcinoma in 24 of the patients.The rates of positive and negative prediction and the accuracy of PET/CT in the diagnosis of the disease were 92.3%,100% and 93.8%.SUVmax was positively correlated with the maximum width of the gastric wall,but they exhibited no statistically significant differences between the patients with involved lymph nodes and those without.Based on the PET/CT findings,the 24 gastric carcinoma patients were clinically classified as follows: 9 in stage Ⅰ,1 in stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ,3 in stage Ⅱ,1 in stage Ⅲ and 10 in stage Ⅳ.Conclusion: 18FDG PET/CT is highly valuable for gastric carcinoma in its diagnosis,the evaluation of its biological behavior and determination of its treatment strategies.

Objective:To compare the differences in dosimetric parameters of target areas between 125I seed implantation with degradable catheters and by hand under the assistance of a real-time intraoperative treatment planning system (TPS). Methods:Forty-two simulated lesions were divided into a degradable catheter group and a free-hand group, with twenty-one lesions in each group. 125I seeds were implanted according to the TPS.The pre-plan and post-implant dosimetric parameters were collected, including the minimum dose ( Dmin), maximum dose ( Dmax), mean dose ( Dmean), conformal index (CI), external index (EI), homogeneity index (HI), minimum prescription dose delivered to 90% of the target volume ( D90), and the mean percentage of volume receiving 90% of the prescription doses ( V90). The Bland-Altman method was employed to analyze the consistency of pre-plan and post-implant dosimetric parameters and the Wilcoxon rank-sum test was used for the comparison of the two groups. Results:According to the Bland-Altman analysis, the dosimetric parameters of the two groups were all in agreement before and after seed implantation except for the Dmin and V90 of the free-hand group.Furthermore, the degradable catheter group had smaller error ranges of Dmax ( Z=-3.824, P<0.005), CI ( Z=-1.962, P<0.005), HI ( Z=-2.352, P<0.005), D90 ( Z=-2.453, P<0.005), and V90 ( Z=-3.159, P<0.005). Conclusions:The dosimetric parameters of 125I seed implantation with degradable catheters under the assistance of real-time TPS have good pre-plan and post-implant consistency and smaller error ranges.

Objective To explore the predictive value of ventricle late potential (LP) for arrhythmic events in the patients with Brugada syndrome. Methods Totally 43 patients with Brugada syndrome were divided into symptom group (n=24) and asymptom group (n=19).Signalaveraged electrocardiography(SAECG) was performed to analyze characteristics of LP in all subjects.The occurrence of arrhythmic events was observed in all patients during the dynamic follow-up for (33.8±9.0) months.Results There were 22 cases (91.7％) and 7 cases (36.8％) with LP positive in patients with symptom and asymptom,respectively.The incidences of arrhythmic events were 72.4％ in Brugada syndrome patients with positive LP and 14.3％ in patients with negative LP,respectively.The relative risk (RR,95％ CI) for LP prediction of the arrhythmic events was [5.1,(1.4～ 18.6)] (P =0.002). ConclusionsLP may be one of effective factors predicting arrhythmic events in the patients with Brugada syndrome.

Objective To analyze the effect of butylphthalide on edema around hematoma and ambulatory blood pressure in patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods From December 2014 to February 2014, ninety-two cases of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage patients treated in People′s Hospital of Longhua, Shenzhen were selected, the patients were divided into the control group and the study group,each with 46 cases. The control group received routine treatment. The study group was given 200 mg butylphthalide Capsule on the basis of conventional treatment,3 times /d,and 20 d for 1 course. The hematoma and surrounding edema and the changes of ambulatory blood pressure were compared between the two groups. The clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in hematoma volume, edema volume and blood pressure between the two groups ( P>0. 05) . There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups ( P>0. 05 ) . Conclusion Butylphthalide is effective in treating hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage. It can effectively improve edema around the hematoma and dynamic blood pressure.
