Objective To explore the associated rules between western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) on urinary tract infection (UTI) with text mining technique. Methods The data set on UTI was downloaded from CBM database. The regularities of Chinese patent medicines (CPM),western medicines and the combination of CPM and western medicines on UTI were mined out by data slicing algorithm. The results were showed visually with Cytoscape2.8 software. Results The main function of CPM was focused on clearing heat and removing toxicity, promoting diuresis and relieving stranguria. For western medicine, antibacterial agents was often used and it was also frequently used together with CPM such as Sanjinpian. Conclusions Text mining approach provides an important method in the summary of the application regularity for disease in both TCM and western medicine.

Objective:To summarize the clinical experience of surgical treatment abdominal gastrointestinal foreign body in children, thus to provide a theoretical basis for clinical decision-making.Methods:The clinical data, including age distribution, clinical manifestations, surgical treatment strategy and prognosis, from 60 children with abdominal gastrointestinal foreign body treated by operation in Children's hospital of Hu′nan Province from January 2015 to June 2020, were retrospectively analyzed. Among the 60 children, 38 males and 22 females, with a median age of 2.9 years. Observation data included the type and location of foreign bodies in the digestive tract, clinical manifestations and surgical methods, operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative hospital stay. The following-up time was 6 months to 2 years by telephone or clinic. The short/long-term complications was observed. Results:Children under 3 years old accounted for 56.7%. Types of foreign bodies included magnetic foreign bodies, sharp objects[paper clips, nails, screws, fish bone and others, etc], crystal ball, jujube pit, gastric hair stone, batteries and badminton holder. The foreign bodies were mainly located in stomach and small intestine. Abdominal pain and vomiting were the most common symptoms. The patients of foreign body with long residence time had peritonitis such as fever and abdominal pain, among 21 cases were combined with gastrointestinal perforation. There were varieties kind of operaion methods, including gastrointestinal incision and foreign bodies removal( n=22), appendectomy and foreign bodies removal( n=7), repair of gastrointestinal perforation( n=6), intestinal resection and anastomosis( n=17), intestinal resection plus enterostomy( n=5)but whose fistula was closed after 3 months, lateral wall of rectum repair( n=3). Fifty-two patients underwent common open abdomen operation, 8 patients underwent laparoscopic operation. The operating time was(93.5±19.3) min. Intraoperative blood loss was(20.2±4.3) mL. The postoperative hospitalization was 13(5, 19) d. The postoperative complications occurred in 3 patients who were nonoperative treatment recovery. Conclusions:Magnetic foreign body, sharp foreign body, crystal ball, jujube nucleus and corrosive foreign body are the main causes of digestive tract obstruction and perforation in children. Individualized operation plan should be selected as soon as possible according to the number of foreign bodies, retention position and whether or not digestive tract perforation.

Aim To observe the effect of oxysophori-dine( OSR) on the EEG changes and its power spectrums of cerebral frontal cortex in anaesthetized rats. Methods With the equipment of brain stereotactic apparatus, electrode was implanted into frontal lobe of cerebral cortex in rats. Unipolar lead and computerized FFT technique were employed to record the index of EEG,power spectrum and frequency distributions to analyze the effect of OSR on the bioelectricity altera-tions of frontal lobe in cerebral cortexi in rats. Results Administrated( icv) with OSR at the dose of 2. 5,5, 10 mg/rat in rats, the EEG of frontal lobe of cerebral cortex was mainly featured by low amplitude and slow waves accompanied by spindle-formed sleeping waves with a significant decrease of total power of EEG( P

Objective To evaluate the effects of iron dextran or iron sucrose on the stability of fat emulsion in total nutrient admixture (TNA) in pediatric settings. Methods TNA with different intravenous doses of iron sucrose or iron dextran (0.25,0.5,0.75,or 1.00 mg) were prepared, and each dose was prepared 10 bags. The TNAs were stored at 25 ℃ for 3 days, and the stability of fat emulsion was observed by electron scanning microscopy.Meanwhile, the pH and osmolality were also measured. Results The particle sizes of fat emulsions in TNA with different concentrations of iron sucrose or iron dextran at different time points were not significantly different (F =0.32,P =0.7836 ; F =1.73,P =0.1321,respectively).The mean particle size of the fat emulsion in each group was < 0.5 μm within 72 hours. For TNA containing different concentrations of iron, the percentage of particles > 0.5 μm,pH,and osmotic pressure showed no significant difference at different time points (percentage:F =1.47,P =0.3467 ; F =1.04,P =0.4758.pH:F =0.63,P =0.5942 ; F =0.46,P =0.6825.osmotic pressure:F =1.37,P =0.3648 ; F =0.65,P =0.6023).Conclusion The TNA addeded with iron sucrose or iron dextran with an concentrations of < 1% is stable.

Objective To analyze and discuss the different characteristics of clinical imaging of Brucellar and tuberculous spondylitis, and to improve the diagnostic performance of the image of Brucellar spondylitis. Methods A retrospective analysis at Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Affiliated to Xinjiang Medical University was conducted from January 2011 to December 2013.X-ray,computer tomography (CT)and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)data of 46 cases of Brucellar spondylitis and 40 cases of tuberculous spondylitis were compared. Results The lumbar spine, especially L4,was usually involved in brucellosis, characterized with multiple small lesions mostly confined to the edge of vertebral body and surrounded by the hyperplasia and sclerosis.New damaged foci were formed in the new bone tissue and intervertebral discs destruction was slight with hyperplasia and sclerosis of articular surface. Few or no paravertebral abscesses were seen.In contrast, thoracic and lumbar spines were more usually affected in tuberculosis featured with destruction of vertebra and intervertebral discs. There could be dead bone formation.Paravertebral abscesses and osteoporosis were frequent. Conclusion The different imaging characteristics of Brucellar and tuberculous spondylitis could favor the differential diagnosis.
