OBJECTIVETo compare the differences in the clinical efficacy on post-stroke speech disorder between scalp electric acupuncture (EA) under anatomic orientation combined with rehabilitation training and simple rehabilitation training.
METHODSSixty patients of post-stroke speech apraxia were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 30 cases in each one. In the observation group, under anatomic orientation, the scalp EA was adopted to the dominant hemisphere Broca area on the left cerebrum. Additionally, the speech rehabilitation training was combined. In the control group, the speech rehabilitation training was simply, used. The treatment lasted for 4 weeks totally. The speech movement program module in the psychological language assessment and treatment system of Chinese aphasia was used for the evident of efficacy assessment. The scores of counting, singing scale, repeating phonetic alphabet, repeating monosyllable and repeating disyllable were observed in the patients of the two groups. The assessment was done separately on the day of grouping and 4 weeks after treatment.
RESULTSIn 4 weeks of treatment, the scores of counting, singing scale, repeating phonetic alphabet, repeating monosyllable and repeating disyllable were all improved as compared with those before treatment in the two groups (all P<0. 001). The results in the observation group were better than those in the control group (all P< 0. 05). The total effective rate was 100. 0% (30/30) in the observation group, superior apparently to 53. 3% (16/30) in the control group (P<0. 001).
CONCLUSIONThe scalp EA under anatomic orientation combined with' speech rehabilitation training obviously improves speech apraxia in stroke patients so that the speech disorder cani be relieved. The efficacy is better than that in simple rehabilitation training.

A model of myelosuppression with thrombocytopenia was produced in monkey by i.v. administration of carboplatin to the evaluate effects of rhIL-11 treatment in monkeys. Following myelosuppression, rhIL-11 was subcutaneously injected for 19 consecutive days at the dose of 50 or 100 micro g/kg. In myelosuppressed monkeys treated with rhIL-11, peripheral blood platelet started to drop at the day 8 after the administration of carboplatin, and reaching the nadir between the day 12 - 14, the decrease in blood platelet was less severe compared with untreated monkeys; peripheral blood platelet began to recovery on day 11 - 13 (D14 - D16) after rhIL-11 treatment, and reached or surpassed the baseline value before carboplatin administration after 13 - 15 days rhIL-11 treatment. Blood platelet counts remained high level after discontinuation of rhIL-11 administration and returned to baseline after 4 days. The results demonstrated that rhIL-11 has a significant thrombopoietic activity, it can reduce the severity of thrombocytopenia as well as shorten the duration of thrombocytopenia caused by myeloablastive agents, and is likely to become an effective agent against thrombocytopenia induced by chemotherapy.

Hematological effects of rhIL-11 on normal and myelosuppressed male BALB/c mice were observed. Mice were subcutaneously injected with rhIL-11 for 7 consecutive days, at the dose of 200 or 400 micro g/kg per day, peripheral blood platelet counts were moderately elevated on 5 days after administration and returned to base level within 4 days after discontinuation of injection. In myelosuppressed mice, treatment with rhIL-11 significantly ameliorated the degree of thrombocytopenia, the recovery of thrombocytopenia was also significantly accelerated at the dose range of 100 - 400 micro g/kg per day, and blood platelet counts reached pre-irradiated level after 13 - 15 days of treatment. The magnitudes of platelet count elevation were similar among groups of 100, 200 and 400 micro g/kg per day, although recovery appeared earlier in group of 400 micro g/kg per day. Significant increases in CFU-Meg were observed both in normal and myelosuppressed mice. Our results suggest that rhIL-11 promotes the increase of peripheral blood platelets both in normal and myelosuppressed mice, and can be used as a potential therapeutic agent for thrombocytopenia induced by chemotherapy.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2019;35(31):2475-2481
Objective:
To analyze the research hotspots of domestic narrative nursing and explore its related research trends which provide reference and guidance for its application and development in China.
Methods:
Wanfang, CNKI, VIP, CBM and other databases were retrieved from inception until October 2018. Word frequency analysis and graph cluster analysis were performed on the main information using Excel, Bicomb, Ucinet, Netdraw and gCLUTO software.
Results:
A total of 649 articles were included. The result of visual analysis showed that the annual amount of publications showed an upward trend. The articles distributed abroad in many different journals which educational journals account mostly. The study regions were distributed in 34 provinces except Taiwan of China, Hainan, Tibet, and Macao Special Administrative Regions where mainly concentrated on East China and North China. The cooperation among authors and institutions both were not close; A total of 25 high-frequency key words were intercepted, and three hotspots of narrative nursing research in China were obtained, which respectively were: (1) The application of narrative medicine and the cultivation of narrative ability; (2) The application research of narrative therapy in humanistic care; (3) The application of narrative nursing in nursing practice.
Conclusions
Narrative nursing has attracted the attention of domestic scholars, but the depth and breadth of research still need to be improved. It is necessary to strengthen cooperation between inter-regional institutions, individuals and scientific research groups and pay attention to research hotspots in this field. Also, there is a need to conduct more high quality studies to verify the significance of narrative nursing.

AIM: To assess the gap between the peak of the base curve to the surface of the cornea, as well as examines the correlation between the thickness of the tear film and the fitting of the orthokeratology lens through optical coherence tomography(OCT), providing an intuitive and quantitative clinical evaluation method for the fitting of the orthokeratology lens.METHODS: Myopia patients who fitted orthokeratology at our hospital from January to December 2023 were included. Examinations, including naked vision, slit lamp, non-contact intraocular pressure, ocular fundus, eye position, corneal diameter, corneal topography, tear film rupture time, optometry, etc., were performed on all patients before fitting. The trial lens parameter was selected according to the examination results, and fluorescein staining was performed to evaluate lens fitting state after patients adapted to wearing glasses. According to the performance of fluorescein staining, the inspected eyes are divided into three groups: lens loose group, lens fitting group, and lens tight group. In addition, the tear film thickness of three groups of subjects was measured by OCT, and the differences between the three groups of data were evaluated.RESULTS: A total of 49 myopic patients(77 eyes)were included. The average sphere degree was -3.10±1.25 D, the average cylinder degree was -0.43(-0.75, 0)D, the average horizontal keratometry(HK)was 42.48±0.81 D, and vertical keratometry(VK)was 42.98(42.25, 43.50)D. There were 21 cases(34 eyes)in the lens fitting group, with 13 cases of bilateral eyes, 8 cases of one eye, 14 cases(22 eyes)in the lens loose group, with 8 cases of bilateral eyes, 6 cases of one eye, and 14 cases(21 eyes)in the lens tight group, with 7 cases of bilateral eyes, 7 cases of one eye. There was no statistical difference in the main basic data of the subjects in the three groups(all P>0.05). OCT showed that the tear film thickness of the lens fitting group, the lens loose group, and the lens tight group was 231.18(219.0, 243.0), 220.41(214.0, 224.3), and 249.00(241.5, 258.0)μm, respectively, and there was statistical significance in the thickness among the three groups(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: OCT can serve as a safe and reliable method for measuring the tear film thickness, which can help evaluate the suitability of orthokeratology and provide a non-invasive, more intuitive, and quantitative evaluation method for the fitting and evaluation of orthokeratology.
