Objective To evaluate the clinical significance and prognosis of tetus with lateral ventriculomegaly.Methods We retrospectively analyzed 92 singleton pregnant women who were antenatally diagnosed with fetal ventriculomegaly by ultrasound in genetic conselling clinics,Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics,Nanfang Hospital,Southern Medical University between August 2007 and August 2010.All participants were divided into three groups according to the width of the lateral ventricles:group A (10.0-12.0 mm,n＝50),group B (12.1-14.9 mm,n=38) and severe ventriculomegaly group (≥15.0 mm,n=4).All fetuses were followed up.Chi-square test(or Fisher's exact test),Bonfferoni method,Mann Whitney or Kruskal-Wallis test were used for statistics.Results In group A,B and severe ventriculomegaly group,18％ (9/50),65.8％(25/38)and 3/4 of fetuses were complicated with structural malformation,respectively (x2 =22.934,P =0.000),and statistical significance were found only between group A and B (x2 =20.798,P=0.000).The incidences of fetal chromosomal aberration were 4.0％ (2/50),7.9％ (3/38)and 0/4 in the three groups,respectively (x2＝0.878,P ＝ 0.645).Eventually,all four cases with severe cerebral ventriculomegaly were terminated.Among cases of mild ventriculomegaly,63 women continued the pregnancy (48 in group A and 15 in group B).The intrauterine improvement of group B was poorerthan that of group A (Z=-3.317,P =0.001).Respectively,three,ten and two cases of ventriculomegaly deteriorated,stabilized and regressed in group B,and the corresponding figures were 3,15 and 30 in group A.In group A,the prognosis of fetus with non-isolated ventriculomegaly was poorer than that of fetus with isolated ventriculomegaly (Z=-2.631,P=0.009).For neonates 14 days after birth (n=62),the rates of normal neonatal behavioral neurological assessment (NBNA) scoring were respectively 93.8％ (45/48) and 71.4％ (10/14) for groups A and B with statistical difference (Fisher's exact test,P =0.040).Bayley scales of infant development (BSID) used to evaluate infants at 12-month-old revealed that the psychomotor developmental index (PDI) between group A and group B had statistical difference (8,26 and 1 case of good,moderate and poor development in group A; one,seven and three cases in group B; Z=-2.203,P=0.043).However,the mental developmental index (MDI) between group A and B had no statistical difference.Twenty babies among the survived ones received magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination.The results showed that lateral ventricle width regressed in nine babies (45.0％) and progressed in one baby (5.0％).Ten cases (50.0％) did not change.The change of ventriculomegaly after birth was related to BSID evaluation.Better prognosis of fetuses were found in those with regressed ventriculomegaly (P=0.033).Conclusions Fetuses with mild ventriculomegaly (10.0 12.0 mm) have a favorable outcome.Further investigations,such as fetal development,chromosomal examination,intrauterine infection screening and MRI if necessary,are suggested for fetus with ventriculomegaly.Moreover,intensive intrauterine and postnatal follow-up is recommended.

Objective To investigate clinical effects differences of ropivacaine combined with two doses of sufentanil on labor analgesia.Methods300 lying-in women with painless childbirth in the period from January 2016 to December 2016 in department of obstetrics in Deqing hospital of traditional Chinese medicine were chosen and randomly divided into two groups including A group (150 cases) with ropivacaine combined with conventional doses of sufentanil for 7.5μg and B group (150 cases) with ropivacaine combined with low doses of sufentanil for 2.5μg;the block onset time of sensory and motor, arrival time at the maximum block level, modified Bromage score, Apgar score, VAS score at different time points and adverse reaction rate of both groups were compared.ResultsTwo groups of maternal sensory and motor block work time and reach the highest block plane comparative differences had no statistical significance.The modified Bromage score of B group were significant better than A group(P<0.05).The adverse reaction rate of B group were significant lower than A group(P<0.05).ConclusionCompared with conventional dosage sufentanil, luo pp paid in combination with low dose used in epidural sufentanil analgesia can obviously reduce the working time, improve the quality of anesthesia and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, is suitable for clinicians to choose application.

Objective To purify recombinant methioninase and investigate the synergetic inhibitory effect of methioninase and cisplatin on the proliferation of human lung adenocarcinoma cell line GLC. Methods Recombinant methioninase was purified with GST-column from supernatant after ultrasonic disruption of cultured Escherichia coli in the prokaryotic expression system pGEX-4T-1-Met/Dh5a. MTT assay was used to determine the inhibition rate of methioninase in combined with cisplatin on cell proliferation,and their synergistic effect was evaluated by using the q value judge method. Results The concentration of recombinant methionine cleaving enzyme was 0.22 mg/mL, the purity was 95%, and the activity was 0.568 IU/mg. After 72 h culturing, the inhibition rate of cisplatin methionine was 24.80%and 27.49%respectively,while the inhibition rate of the combined drugs was 66.80% ( =1.47>1.15) which showed a significant synergistic effect. Conclusion Both methioninase and cisplatin have the inhibition effect,and the combined drugs display a significant synergistic effect on the proliferation of GLC.

Objective Face-down positioning after vitrectomy and gas tamponade is still the standard position for patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment.The study was to compare the nursing effects of face-down position and flexible position after vitrecto-my for the repair of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Methods We investigated 120 cases of patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in this study.All patients received vitrectomy with long-acting gas for tamponade, 60 patients in face-down position and 60 in the flexible position.Patients were followed up for 6 months.Observation was made on the rates of anatomical retinal reattachment and postoperative complications between the groups. Results The rates of anatomical retinal reattachment after surgery were 88.33%in the face-down position group and 100% in the flexible position group respectively.As to the satisfaction of position, the flexible position group was 100%, which was much higher than 41.67%in face-down position group(P<0.01). Conclusion Flexible position nurs-ing after vitrectomy and gas tamponade for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment repair is safe and effective.Flexible position can replace face-down position for the comfort of patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment after vitrectomy with gas tamponade.

Objective To investigate the relationship between metabolic syndrome (MS) and education level in Su-Xi-Chang area to provide evidence for healthcare policy making. Methods A clustered sampling of 6798 subjects from Su-Xi-Chang areas of Jiangsu Province was included. Questionnaires and physical examinations were completed to collect clinical data. Logistic regression was used to analyze weather education level could be an independent risk factor of MS. Results Significant differences were found in waist circumstance (WC) ,systolic blood pressure (SBP) and fasting blood glucose (FBG) among participants with different education level. Significant differences were also existed in triglyceride and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) between subjects with higher and lower education level ( P＜0. 05 ). In single-factor or multivariate analysis, education level was negatively correlated with the prevalence of MS (P＜0. 05 ). Conclusions Education level may be an independent risk factor of MS. People with low and moderate education level have higher risk of MS. Therefore,it is recommended that health-related information should become an integral part of the compulsory education system.

Objective To investigate the relationship between metabolic syndrome (MS) and diet style in the elderly. Methods The 781 old people were consecutively selected. Related data were collected by means of questionnaires and physical examinations. And logistic regression was performed to analyze if moderate and high fat diet were risk factors of MS. Results The total prevalence rate of MS in old people was 40. 7%, with 36.7% in old males and 55.4% in old females,and the prevalence rate of MS was higher in old women than in old men (P=0. 000). The significant differences in waist circumferences among three groups of low, moderate and high-fat diet [(86.0±9.3) cm vs. (88.8±8.5) cm vs. (90. 0±7.9) cm, respectively (all P＜0.05)]were found. Fasting blood glucose showed a significant difference between two groups of low and high-fat diet, with the results of (5.78 ± 0.98) mmol/L and (6.27 ± 1.80) mmol/L, respectively ( P＜0. 05 ). The logistic regression analysis showed that odds ratio for people with moderate and high-fat diets were 1. 541 ( 1. 092-2. 174) and 2. 293 ( 1. 317-3. 994), respectively (P＜0.05), which indicated that moderate and high-fat diet was independent risk factors for MS in old people. Conclusions Both moderate and high-fat diets are risk factors of MS in old population, low fat diet with food balance is recommended to old population in order to decrease the prevalence of MS.

Objective To study the relationship of plasma aeylation stimulating protein (ASP) with complement C3, C-reactive protein (CRP) and blood lipid levels in women with polyeystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Methods Thirty-four patients with PCOS were divided into two groups: obese PCOS group [body mass index (BMI)≥25 kg/m2] and non-obese PCOS group (BMI<25 kg/m2). 41 age-matched non-PCOS women were also divided into two groups: simply obese group (BMI≥25 kg/m2) and non-obese control group (BMI <25kg/m2). Plasma ASP in the 4 groups was detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method.Complement C3 and CRP were determined by immunoturbidimetrie assay. Plasma free fatty acid (FFA)concentration was determined by colorimetric enzymatic assay, plasma triglycerides (TG) by GPO-PAP method and total cholesterol (TC) by COD-PAP method. Results The plasma ASP were significantly increased in the obese PCOS group, the non-obese PCOS group and the obese group as compared with the control group [(36.4±10.9,34.8±9.9, 35.1±14.0, 24.8±7.8) nmol/L, respectively, all P<0.05]. The concentrations of complement C3 were significantly higher in the obese PCOS group and the obese group than that in the control group [(2.2±1.2,2.5±1.5, 1.1±0.7) g/L, respectively, bothP <0.05]. The concentrations of CRP were significantly increased in the obese PCOS group, non-obese PCOS group and obese group as compared with the control group [(32.1±29.2, 30.0±24.8, 23.8±5.5, 7.5±4.8)mg/L, respectively, all P<0.05]. Univariate analysis showed that both plasma ASP and C3 were positively correlated with BMI, CRP, FFA and TG. CRP was positively correlated with BMI, FFA, TG and TC. Conclusion Plasma ASP, C3 and CRP levels in women with PCOS axe increased. They are strongly associated with disturbed lipid metabolism. The lack of association between ASP and complement C3 suggests that the conversion of C3 to ASP may be affected by other factors.

Objective To understand the radiation protection effect of pre-irradiation administrations of nilestriol on the mice with bone marrow type of acute radiation syndrome after irradiation with 60Co γ-rays,along with its mechanisms for improvement of hematopoiesis.Methods The nilestriol administration protocols were prepared by analysis of peripheral blood cell counts and survival rate experiment on mice.The mechanisms by which the pre-irradiation twice administrations improved the post-irradiation recovery of bone marrow hematopoiesis were studied by the analysis of the surface marker of bone marrow hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells of mice and by the inspection of hematopoietic progenitor cell colony and by using histopathological assessment of bone marrow.Results Pre-irradiation administration of nilestriol at two-or three-day intervals had been shown to increase survival rates up to 100％ in mice exposed to 9.0 Gy γ-rays,which was superior to a single administration (20％,x2 =21.66,21.66,P ＜0.05).The pre-irradiation administration both at one-day or two-day intervals were capable of improving the recovery of peripheral blood counts,including white blood cell (WBC),red blood cell (RBC),and platelet in mice exposed to 6.5 Gy (F =21.33,100.9,49.34,19.19,P ＜ 0.05),showing the better effects than a single administration (F =17.11,63.38,21.89,14.37,P ＜ 0.05).The two-day-interval administration of nilestriol could significantly increase the numbers of bone marrow hematopoietic stem/progenitor cell counts (t =8.58,2.80,P ＜ 0.05) in mice on day 10 after 6.5 Gy irradiation.This also could be capable to significantly improve colony formation,with there being statistical difference compared with single administration(t =4.29,6.34,P ＜ 0.05).Also the administration at two-day-interval were also usefull in reconstruction of hematopoietic cell hyperplasia of bone marrow of irradiated mice.Conclusions As compared with conventional single admination,the pre-irradiation multiple administrations of nilestriol showed significantly improved radiation protection effects.Considering a nuclear medical emergency rescue,it is recommended to follow the pre-irradiation administration of nilestriol at two-day interval,which could obtain the best protection effects at minimum administration frequency.
