1.Extract of Rosa bracteata Wend1 in Antagonizing the Withdrawal Syndrome in Morphine-dependent Rats

Objective: To evaluate the effect of RBa-I, an extract of Rosa bracteata Wend1, against withdrawa1 syndrome in morphine-dependent rats and to explore its mechanism. Methods: The mode1 rats of morphine dependent were established. The scores of withdrawa1 syndrome,?-EP level in hypotha1amus and pituitary body were observed to evaluate the effect of RBa-I in rats. Results: RBa-I can antagonize the urging withdrawa1 syndrome in morphine-dependent rats (ora1ly, 5 mg?kg -1 ), and the effect was inferior to chlonidine (oral1y, 0.2 mg?kg -1 ). It can a1so antagonize the natural withdrawal syndrome, decrease the tota1 scores of withdrawa1 syndrome and inhibit the decreasing of body weight. After a seven-day treatment course, the tota1 scores of withdrawa1 syndrome were decreased remarkab1y. The content of ?-EP in hypotha1amus and pituitary body were increased. Conclusion: RBa-I can antagonize the withdrawa1 syndrome of morphine-dependent rats and this may be related to the increase of ?-EP level in hypothalamus and pituitary body in rats.
2.Research on the Anxious and Despondent Emotion in Patients with Chronic Eczema

Objective:To investigate the anxious and despondent emotion in patients suffering from chronic eczema,and its influence factor thereof.Methods:The patients suffering from chronic eczema were investigated with self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)and evsenck personality questionnaire(EPQ).The healthy persons were investigated with SAS and SDS.The severity of pruritus and skin rash in patients suffering from chronic eczema was assessed by visual analogue scale (VAS)and eczema area severity index (EASI).Results:The scores of SAS and SDS were significantly higher in patients with chronic eczema than that of healthy persons(P<0.01).The multivariate stepwise regression analysis result demonstrated that the factors influencing anxious emotion were in turn severity of pruritus,disease position and stability of emotion introverted-extroverted disposition.The factors influencing despondent emotion were in turn disease position,course of disease,concealing,stability of emotion and severity of pruritus.Conclusion:There was obvious anxious and despondent emotion in patients with chronic eczema.These emotions were closely correlated with psychosocial factors,severity of pruritus and skin rash.
3.Analysis of endemic changes of schistosomiasis in China from 2002 to 2010

Objective To provide the reference for schistosomiasis control through analyzing the changes of endemic status of schistosomiasis in China in recent years. Methods The annual data of schistosomiasis prevention and control from 2002 to 2012 were collected, and the descriptive analysis was conducted to describe the changes of schistosomiasis endemic status. Re?sults Sichuan, Yunan and Jiangxi provinces reached the criteria of transmission controlled from 2002 to 2010 while Hubei, Hu?nan, Jiangxi and Anhui provinces reached the criteria of infection controlled in 2008. The number of counties where the trans?mission of schistosomiasis was controlled decreased from 110 in 2002 to 80 in 2010. The numbers of estimated schistosomiasis cases and reported acute cases fell from 810.4 thousands and 913 in 2002 to 325.8 thousands and 43 in 2010, respectively, and they were reduced by 59.79%and 95.40%respectively. The number of infected bovine went down from 23 199 in 2002 to 7 173 in 2010, with a fall of 69.03%. However, the Oncomelania hupensis snails breeding areas kept in 3.7 to 3.8 billion m2 and among which, 125 million m2 areas were newly discovered in non?endemic areas during the nine years. In 2010, 90%of schistosomiasis cases, acute cases, infected bovine, and snail breeding areas were concentrated in 5 provinces, especially in the Dongting Lake and Poyang Lake areas and the regions along the Yangtze River. Conclusions The epidemic of schistosomiasis decreased sig?nificantly from 2002 to 2010. The lake regions are the key and tough areas for schistosomiasis prevention and control. To consoli?date the achievements, the surveillance and case management need to be strengthened as the extension of snail breeding areas and acute cases reported from other places becomes common.
4.Research progress in molecular coupling mechanism of osteogenic differentiation and angiogenesis in traumatic bone defects

Management of bone defects caused by fractures,bone tumors or infections is clinically difficult as well as a hot topic in current studies. With further researches over bone defects,the construction of tissue-engineered bone has played a great role in the treatment of bone defects. Blood vessels not only provide the necessary nutritional mineral salts,growth factors,hormones for bone formation,also are able to mediate the interaction among osteoblasts and osteoclasts,osteocytes,bone autonomic nerve and endothelial cells,since bone formation exist spatially and temporally connection with angiogenesis. Therefore,the authors make a systematic literature review on the research progress of the coupling mechanism of angiogenesis and osteogenic differentiation,blood vessels and related signal pathways on osteogenic differentiation and angiogenesis-related molecules in osteogenic differentiation during the process of traumatic bone defects,so as to provide new ideas for the treatment of bone defects.
5.Association between dietary behaviors and overweight or obesity in preschool children

Background Overweight/obesity in children are a global health issue. Preschool age is an important stage of children's growth and development and dietary behaviors, so it is crucial to explore dietary behavior characteristics and childhood overweight/obesity. Objective To explore the association between dietary behavior characteristics and overweight/obesity in preschool children in Shanghai, and the consistency of children's eating behavior characteristics with their parents'. Methods The children aged 3 to 6 years in 5 kindergartens in Shanghai in 2015 were selected by convenience sampling and surveyed. Their height and weight were measured. Children's and parents' dietary behavior characteristics were self-reported by their parents. According to the weight-for-height recommended by the World Health Organization, excess weight was calculated by the following formula: excess-weight%=[(measured weight - standard weight)/standard weight×100%]; obese is determined at excess-weight% > 20%, overweight: excess-weight% at 10%-20%, normal weight: excess-weight% at −10%-<10%. Chi-squared test and t test were used to compare the differences of demographic and dietary behavior characteristics between overweight/obese and normal weight children. Multiple logistic regression models were used to evaluate the association between dietary behaviors and overweight/obesity. The consistency of dietary behavior characteristics was tested between children and their parents. Results Among the 897 preschool children, 217 (24.2%) were overweight/obese and 680 (75.8%) were of normal weight. The birth weight [(3439±472) g vs. (3361±418) g] and proportion of monthly household income < 10000 yuan (17.1% vs. 10.7%) in the overweight/obese children were significantly higher than those in the normal weight children, and there were no statistical differences in sex, age, gestational age, time of adding complementary foods, outdoor activities after school every day, and parental BMI. After adjusting for potential confounders such as sex, age, household income, outdoor activities after school every day, and parental overweight/obesity, frequently having puffed food (OR=2.46, 95%CI: 1.20-4.95), western-style fast food (OR=3.52, 95%CI: 1.41-8.79), and carbonated drinks (OR=2.92, 95%CI: 1.37-6.13), often eating a lot (OR=1.51, 95%CI: 1.09-2.08) and having a good appetite (OR=2.60, 95%CI: 1.87-3.62), having regular meals (OR=1.48, 95%CI: 1.07-2.03), and fast eating (OR=3.37, 95%CI: 2.10-5.42) were positively associated with children's overweight/obesity (P<0.05). Children's partial/picky eating was inconsistent with fathers' behavior (P<0.05), while the other dietary behaviors were similar with both mothers' and fathers'. Conclusion Eating behavior characteristics of preschool children are associated with overweight/obesity, and affected by their parents. Early identifying dietary behavior problems and improving dietary habits of children might be an effective strategy in preventing and controlling the occurrence and development of obesity in childhood.
6.Chaperone-mediated Autophagy Regulates Cell Growth by Targeting SMAD3 in Glioma.

Previous studies suggest that the reduction of SMAD3 (mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 3) has a great impact on tumor development, but its exact pathological function remains unclear. In this study, we found that the protein level of SMAD3 was greatly reduced in human-grade IV glioblastoma tissues, in which LAMP2A (lysosome-associated membrane protein type 2A) was significantly up-regulated. LAMP2A is a key rate-limiting protein of chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA), a lysosome pathway of protein degradation that is activated in glioma. We carefully analyzed the amino-acid sequence of SMAD3 and found that it contained a pentapeptide motif biochemically related to KFERQ, which has been proposed to be a targeting sequence for CMA. In vitro, we confirmed that SMAD3 was degraded in either serum-free or KFERQ motif deleted condition, which was regulated by LAMP2A and interacted with HSC70 (heat shock cognate 71 kDa protein). Using isolated lysosomes, amino-acid residues 75 and 128 of SMAD3 were found to be of importance for this process, which affected the CMA pathway in which SMAD3 was involved. Similarly, down-regulating SMAD3 or up-regulating LAMP2A in cultured glioma cells enhanced their proliferation and invasion. Taken together, these results suggest that excessive activation of CMA regulates glioma cell growth by promoting the degradation of SMAD3. Therefore, targeting the SMAD3-LAMP2A-mediated CMA-lysosome pathway may be a promising approach in anti-cancer therapy.
