1.New understanding of hospital management after WTO accession
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(10):-
The authors first expound that Chinas WTO accession has made it extremely clear that hospital management is the key to competition. There are two aspects of the issue. One involves changing management concepts, enriching management connotations, broadening the management horizon, enhancing management levels, transforming management mentality, and readjusting management structure. The other involves the application of modern management technology. Then they discuss ways of changing hospital management from the perspective of the competition for the masses of people seeking medical service. These include: ①attracting patients with easily available service; ②heavily advertising the hospital with specific images; ③displaying quality with standardized management; ④winning the confidence of the people with reasonable pricing. Finally the authors give a detailed account of how to explore human resources, retain talented people, form optimal teams, set up rational structures and raise assessment criteria in the competition for medical talents.

3.Transform of Medicinal Properties of Coptis chinensis-Cinnamomum cassia Couplet Medicines before and after Mixing Based on Cold/hot Plate Differentiating Technology
China Pharmacy 2016;27(7):916-919
OBJECTIVE:To explore the transform of the medicinal properties of Coptis chinensis-Cinnamomum cassia couplet medicines before and after mixing. METHODS:Mice were randomly divided into normal group, weak constitution (induced by food restriction and swimming) group, weak constitution+C. chinensis group, weak constitution+C. cassia group, weak constitu-tion+couplet medicine group, prosperous constitution (induced by high protein diet) group, prosperous constitution+C. chinensis group, prosperous constitution+C. cassia group and prosperous constitution+couplet medicine group, with 10 mice in each group. After modeling, each group was given relevant medicine intragastrically by 20 g(crude drug)/(kg·d),and normal group was giv-en equivalent volume of normal saline intragastrically for consecutive 7 days. The proportion of rats remained in high-temperature ar-eas was recorded. Organ index, biochemical index(Na+/K+-ATPase,Ca2+/Mg2+-ATPase),total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),SOD activity, the serum content of noradrenalin and dopamine were detected. RESULTS:Compared with normal group, proportion of mice in high-temperature area increased in weak constitution group, while liver index, spleen index, renal index, biochemical in-dex activity or content decreased(P<0.05);the change of above index in prosperous constitution group were opposite to weak con-stitution group;above index had statistical significance except for the proportion of mice in high-temperature area(P<0.05). Com-pared with weak constitution/prosperous constitution group, the proportion of mice remained in high-temperature area and liver in-dex increased in weak constitution/prosperous constitution+C. chinensis group, while biochemical index activity or content de-creased(P<0.05);the change of above index in weak constitution/prosperous constitution+C. cassia group were opposite to C. chi-nensis group, spleen index and renal index increased(P<0.05);the proportion of rats remained in high-temperature area increased in weak constitution/prosperous constitution couplet medicine group, and biochemical index activity or content decreased, among which total antioxidant activity decreased significantly(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:The couplet medicine manifests the“cold na-ture”after C. chinensis and C. cassia equally paired, because“hot nature”degree of C. cassia is lower than“cold nature”of C. chi-nensis.

BACKGROUND: The conical telescopic crown denture has a better long-term effect on dentition defects of few remaining teeth than the traditional removable denture. However, there are few studies to analyze the application of these two kinds of repair methods using the finite element method. OBJECTIVE: To compare the stress distribution of the isolated abutment tooth repaired using the conical telescopic crown denture and traditional removable denture. METHODS: Two-dimensional images of the mandible and dentition in healthy adults were scanned by CT. Three-dimensional finite element models of conical telescopic crown denture and traditional removable denture were established in the mandible only with the bilateral canines. Under the same vertical and oblique loadings, the maximum equivalent stress of the abutment, periodontal membrane or edentulous alveolar ridge was compared between two repair methods. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Under the vertical and oblique loadings, the total stress of abutment and periodontal membrane in the traditional removable denture was higher than that in the conical telescopic crown denture and the stress in the corresponding ring was concentrated obviously; the total stress of edentulous alveolar ridge in the conical telescopic crown denture was slightly larger than that in the traditional removable denture, but the stress was wel -distributed and concentrated in a smal area. Under the oblique loading, the total stress of abutment, periodontal membrane and edentulous alveolar ridge was higher than that under the vertical loading in these two dentures, and the stress was concentrated in the periodontal membrane of lingual neck, but the total stress in the traditional removable denture was larger, with a wider concentration range. These findings indicate that the stress on the supporting tissue of conical telescopic crown denture is more evenly distributed within a smal er range than that of traditional removable denture, and the former is more fit for the health of abutment, periodontal tissues and edentulous alveolar ridge.
