Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1982;0(01):-
The zymograms of esterase(Est)and lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) isozymes fromtwo species of Aedes were studied by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The zy-mograms were divided into two groups of bands, Est Ⅰ and Ⅱ, and LDH ⅠandⅡ, respectively. They exhibited some similar characteristics of sibling species,On the basis of differences of Est Ⅱ phenotypes, the two species could be distinguished from each other
3.Intracranial ependymal tumour: a clinical study of 83 cases
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2011;34(11):20-22
Objective To study the clinical features of patients with intracranial ependymal tumour, and explore the prognostic factors which have.a significant association with the outcome. Methods Eighty-three patients with histologically proven ependymal tumour were retrospectively reviewed. The tumour location, the patients' age, the histological features, imaging characteristics, surgical management and adjuvant therapy were studied. Results In 83 cases of intracranial ependymal tumour,41 cases were infratentorial and 42 cases were supratentorial ependymal tumour, 37 patients age ≤15 years, while 46patients age > 15 years. Fifty-eight patients ( 69.9% ) and 25 patients (30.1% ) had low (WHO Ⅰ - Ⅱ ) and high-grade (WHOⅢ) tumors respectively. Sixty-reven (80.7%) patients had gross total resection and 16patients ( 19.3% ) had subtotal resection. The 5-year survival rate was 81.9%( 68/83 ). The factors that were found to have a statistical significance association with the outcome were the extent of the resection and the pathologic characteristics. Conclusions Gross total resection of these tumors results in a good long-term outcome. Reoperation should be considered, if feasible, to remove residual malignant tissue. Anaplastic ependymomas carries a much poorer prognosis. Radiotherapy may play an important role in their treatment. The role of chemotherapy appears limited but can be attempted, especially in the very young, in order to avoid the deleterious effect of radiotherapy.

Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1981;0(04):-
In this paper, we studied the kinetics of nitochondrial lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and solubilized mitochondrial LDH in the rat liver. The apparent Km values of mitochondrial LDH and solubilized mitochondrial LDH for substrate pyruvate were 50.0 ?mol/L and 33.8 ?mol/L, and those for NADH were 35.3?mol/L and 21.4 ?mol/L, respectively. The apparent Km values of mitochondrial LDH were greater than those of solubilized nitochondrial LDH. The mitochondrial LDH in the rat liver was mainly LDH-5, which could be solubilized by 0.15 mol/L NaQ solution.

Objective To study the effect of continous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) and mutiple subcutaneous insulin infusion (MSII) on type 2 diabetes mellitus during perioperation. Methods One hundred and eighty surgical patients complicated with Type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into two groups,98 cases in the CSII group (treated with CSII of novolin R) and 82 cases in the MSII group (treated with MSII of novolin R and no-volin N). Blood glucose level, the time to reach normal blood glucose level, the average dosage of insulin, the inci-dence of hypoglycemic, infection rate of incisions and inpatient days were measured in two groups before and after treatment. Results The level of fasting blood glucose after treatment in the CSII group (4.8 mmol/L (SD: 1.6)) was significantly lower than that of the MSII group (6.4 mmol/L(SD :2.1)) (t = 7.74,P < 0.05), and 2-h glucose in the CSII group (7.6 mmol/L(SD :2.3)) was significantly lower than that of the MSII group (9.3 mmol/L(SD: 2.4)) (t = 7.72, P < 0.05). The time to reach normal blood glucose level in the CSII group (4.1 days (SD: 2.9)) was shorter than that of MSII group (6.9 days (SD :2.0)) (t=2.81, P < 0.05). The average dosage of insulin in the CSII group (40.7 U(SD: 10.3)) was lower than that of the MSII group (63.2 U (SD: 17.0)) (t=3.57, P <0.05). The incidence of hypoglycemic in the CSII group (3.05%) was lower than that of the MSII group (9.20%) (χ~2 = 4.92,P < 0.05). The infection rate of incisions in the CSII group (0.0%) was lower than that of the MSII group (10.9%) (χ~2 =4.18, P < 0.05). The inpatient days in the CSII group (15.3 days (SD :7.2)) was shorter than that of the MSII group (22.5 days (SD :9.7)) (t = 3.12, P < 0.05). Conclusions Compared to multiple sub-cutaneous insulin infusion, continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion is more effective in controlling blood glucose, hypoglycemic and incision infection, thus is recommend to perioperative patients complicated with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of robot-assisted training on lower extremities of patients with stroke. Methods PubMed, Medline, EMbase, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), ISI Web of Knowledge, Ovid, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data and VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals were searched for the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) about robot-assisted training for lower extremities of patients with stroke from the date of establishment to March 2013. The bibliographies of the retrieved studies were also searched. 2 independent researchers evaluated the included studies using the risk of bias provided by Cochrane Library. The extracted data were analyzed by RevMan 5.1 software. Results A total of 12 trials were discovered.Compared with conventional training, the robot-assisted training increased the score of Fugl-Meyer assessment (lower extremity)(WED=3.97, 95%CI: 2.84~5.10, Z=6.89, P<0.00001) and Berg Balance Scale (WED=3.13, 95%CI: 0.80~5.45, Z=2.63, P=0.008). However, the results of stride frequency (WED=8.40, 95%CI: -0.95~17.75, Z=1.76, P=0.08) and speed (WED=0.03, 95%CI: -0.02~0.07, Z=1.18, P=0.24) were not statistically significant. According to the Jadad Score of included studies, 4 of them were of low quality and 8 of them were of high quality. Conclusion The current evidence shows that to some extent, robot-assisted training could improve the lower extremities function.
