The total glucosides of paeony root ( TCP ) extracted from paeony root of Boxian county, Anhui province was studied on the immunoregulatory effects in mice.The delayed hypersensitivity (DH) was increased by TGP at dose of 200mg/kg/d ig for 8d in the normal 6l5 mouse. Both depressed DH & enhanced DH induced by cyclophosph-amid ( Cy ) were restored by TGP ( 5 mg/kg/d ip x 5 - 8 d) in ICR mice. The decreased hemolysin antibody formation of spleen induced by Cy in BALB/c mice immunized with SRBC was raised by TGP ( 5mg /kg/d ip x 4d) . The phagocytic activity of ICR mice peritoneal macrophage on chiken RBC . In addittion, it was considerably Stimulated by using ip TGP at dose of 40mg/kg/d for 3d. The results suggested that TGP might possess the immunoregulatory effects in mice.

Objective To determine the contents of elements Fe, Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ca, Mg and Cr in Gentiana macrophlla and Gentiana officinalis. Methods The contents of elements were determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Results The recovery rates obtained by standard addition method were between 88.1%～114.5%, and the RSDs were lower than 3.18%. Gentiana macrophlla is rich in the trace elements such as Fe, Ni, Cu, Ca, Mg, and Gentiana officinalis is rich in the trace elements such as Mn, Zn, Cr. Conclusion There are some difference between wild and planted Gentiana officinalis in element content, that may be related to their growing environment.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy for large (≥6 cm in diameter) adrenal tumors. Methods Between June 2002 and June 2008,30 patients with large adrenal tumors underwent retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy in our hospital. With the patients being placed in the lateral position at the uninjured side,a self-made balloon was used to dilate the retroperitoneal space. Afterwards,3 trocars were inserted via the costal margin at the posterior axillary line and the anterior axillary line,and 2 cm above the anterior superior iliac spine at the middle axillary line to remove the tumors. After resection of the tumor,an drainage tube was indwelled. Results Retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery was performed successfully in the 30 cases without conversion to open surgery. The mean operation time was 100 min (range,65 to 185 min),and the mean blood loss was 80 ml (range,50 to 250 ml). Over a mean of 18.5-month follow-up (range,3 to 36 months) was achieved in the cases,during which no one had local recurrence. Conclusions Retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy is feasible and safe for patients with large adrenal tumors as long as no contraindication of the surgery is found. The diameter of the tumor does not play a role when determining the surgery.

Objective To evaluate the semen quality of potential semen donors of college students and investigate their reproductive health status. Methods According to the screening procedure in the Basic Standard and the Technical Norms of Human Sperm Bank revised by Chinese Ministry of Health in 2003,all sperm samples of 355 potential donors were examined. Results 37 of 355 donors sperm(10.4%) were qualified to the normal standard revised by Chinese Ministry of Health;and the rest(89.6%) were abandoned,because the sperm numbers of 267 donors were not reached the identified semen standard of the human sperm bank in the first screen,26 donors(7.4%)were with abnormal health status,4 donors did not ejaculate and got samples,9 donors with normal semen quality did not take physical health examination,the normal shape percentage of 6 donors sperm was lower than 30% and the thawed revival percentage with(a+b) grade of 6 donors was lower than 60%.135 of 355 donors(38.0%) sperm quality were qualified to the male productive standard of WHO. Conclusion The results indicated that the sperm quality of undergraduate declines and the society should pay more attention to the reproductive health of college students.

Objective To explore the effect of decoction of four-drug juice plus glutamine on nutritional support in the elderly critically ill patients. Methods One hundred and twenty-four elderly critical ill patients in The First Hospital of Jilin University from May 2010 to May 2012 were randomly divided into treatment group(n = 62)and control group(n = 62). Patients in both two groups were given enteral nutrition(EN)plus parenteral nutrition(PN)after the hemodynamics became stable. In addition,patients in control group were given routine EN + PN,while in treatment group was given decoction o four-drug juice + EN plus glutamine + PN. Prealbumin (PA),serum total protein( TP),transferrin( TF)and serum albumin( ALB)were detected before and after treatment of nutritional support. The informations including recovery of bowel sounds,the occurrence of complications,antibiotic use time and the duration of ICU stay were recorded. Results There were no significant differences between two groups in terms of nutrition indices before treatment(P > 0. 05). After treatment,the contents of pre albumin,transferrin,total serum protein,serum albumin in treatment group were( 145. 24 ± 6. 72)g/ L,(1. 93 ± 0. 98)g/ L,(79. 86 ± 10. 38)g/ L,(54. 91 ± 2. 91)g/ L respectively,better than those in control groups((139. 24 ± 38. 76),(1. 68 ± 0. 33),(74. 73 ± 7. 31),(49. 87 ± 2. 61)g/ L),and the differences were statistically significant( t = 3. 610,2. 929,4. 360,6. 767;P < 0. 05). Objective:To evaluate the effects of several kinds of surface treatment methods on the bond strength of zirconia prosthesis,and to provide references for improving the bond strength of zirconia prosthesis.Methods:Sixty zirconia blocks(10 mm×10 mm×2 mm) were divided into 6 groups according to the surface treatment methods:sandblasting,silica coating,Z-PRIME Plus,sandblasting+Z-PRIME Plus,sandblasting+silica coating,and silica coating+Z-PRIME Plus groups.The zirconia-resin specimens were fabricated using ScotchbondTM Universal;shear bond test was performed to detect the shear bond strength after treated with water storage(37℃) for 24 h by universal mechanical testing mechine;the fracture types were observed by stereoscopic microscope.One fracture specimen was randomly chosen from each group,and the morphology of the specimen was examined under scanning electron microscope.Results:The shear bond strength of the specimen in Z-PRIME Plus group was higher than those in the other groups(P<0.05).The adhesive failure was predominantly observed in sandblasting,silica coating,sandblasting+silica coating and silica coating+Z-PRIME Plus groups.There were 4 cases of mixed failure in Z-PRIME Plus group and there were 8 cases of mixed failure in sandblasting+Z-PRIME group.No cohesive failure was observed in all the groups.The scanning electron microscope results showed that the fracture surface occurred on the resin-zirconia interface of the specimens in sandblasting group,Z-PRIME Plus group,and sandblasting+Z-PRIME Plus group.The silica-zirconia fracture of specimens occurred in silica coating group and silica coating+Z-PRIME Plus group.The silica-resin interface fracture of specimens partially occurred in sandblasting+silica coating group.Conclusion:The application of Z-PRIME Plus can significantly improve the bond strength between zirconia and resin.

Objective To analyze the clinical and pathological characteristics of thyroid nodules.Methods A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 2843 Han patients with thyroid nodules from January 2009 to June 2011 in Henan province was performed.Results The most high-risk of thyroid nodule resided in the group aged 45-54.The main pathological manifestation was simple nodular goiter.The rate of preoperative misdiagnosis was 2.4％.22.1％ of the patients with thyroid nodules showed abnormal thyroid function,which was mainly as subclinical thyroid dysfunction.The positive rate of thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb) in patients with thyroid nodule was 19.8％ while that of thyroid globulin antibody (TgAb) was 20.0％.Among all 2843 subjects,the prevalence of differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) was 28.8％,and the incidence of DTC was accompanied by raised TSH levels.The prevalence of DTC exceeded 40％ in patients aged between 25 to 34 as well as more than 74 years old.The prevalence of DTC was up to 33.8％ in TgAb positive patients.There was no difference in TPOAb levels between DTC patients and non DTC patients (P =0.406),but the TgAb level in patients with DTC was significantly higher than that of non DTC patients (P =0.033).Conclusion Thyroid nodule patients aged 25-34 or older than 74 formed high-risk groups of DTC.The serum TSH level and TgAb level were positively correlated with the risk of DTC.

Objective To explore the value of diffusion weighted imaging (DWI)as a quantitative analysis tool for chronic cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM)with 3.0T MRI.Methods Cervical routine MR T2-weighted imaging(T2 WI)and diffusion weighted imaging were performed in 38 patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM group)and 20 healthy volunteers (control group),and sagittal image of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC)was reconstructed.The number of high T2 signal of the spinal cord were calculated in both healthy volunteers and CSM patients.The ADC values of CSM groups were measured in C3,T1 -C2 level and the compression or abnormal signal parts of the spinal cord;the control group measured C3、C4-C6 and T1 -T2 level in the spinal cord.Results There were 3 cases,1 case,6 cases and 8 cases high T2 signals in CSM patients from Ⅰ to Ⅳ levels,while there were 2 cases show high T2 signals in control group,respectively.The mean ADC values of the compression part were gradual-ly increased in CSM group from Ⅰ to Ⅳ level.There were significant differences of the mean ADC values of compression part be-tween the control group,CSMⅠ-Ⅱ level and the CSM Ⅳ level.Conclusion From our study,the change of ADC value of spine cord occured earlier than the change of signal in CSM patients.Therefore,the ADC value of spine cord might reflect the degree of spinal cord compression from CSM patients.

Objective To investigate and analyze the efficacy of Cervus and Cucumis Polypeptide for Injection in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee. Methods 100 patients with osteoarthritis of knee joint treated in Xinchang people's hospital from February 2015 to May 2017 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group, with 50 patients in each group. The control group were treated with oral glucosamine capsules in the treatment of the experimental group, Cervus and Cucumis Polypeptide for Injection palliative treatment, 250 mL saline plus 25g guguatiquwu, oral Nimeilishu capsule. The treatment time of the 2 groups was one month. The therapeutic effects of the experimental group and the control group were compared and analyzed. Results After the corresponding treatment, 4 patients in the experimental group were invalid, 20 cases were effective, and 26 cases were effective. In the control group, 13 patients were ineffective. The effective rate of the experimental group was 92％, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The IL-1 of the knee joint fluid in the experimental group was (8.01±1.72), and the IL-1 of the knee fluid in the control group was (7.08±0.97). The level of IL-1 in the knee joint fluid of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Cervus and Cucumis Polypeptide for Injection is effective in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee, and can significantly improve the efficiency of treatment,.
