Objective: To summarize the experience of the Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent in rotation after successful accomplishment of its peacekeeping mission. Methods: From December 2004 to July 2005,the Second Chinese Peacekeeping Medical Contingent was carrying out its peacekeeping medical support mission in West Africa. It successfully accomplished its mission entrusted by the United Nations, its long-distance intercontinental deployment and evacuation from the mission area,as well as its rotation by two-batch-mode handovers in an organizational system. Results: Smooth rotation ensured the fulfillment of the medical support mission, harmonious relationship with various units, close cooperation with related sections, joint action with multination forces and uninterrupted work performance. It tested the contingent's combat readiness and medical support ability. Conclusion: The rotation of the Untied Nations peacekeeping medical support forces provided an all-round training for the Chinese medical contingent and helped it adapt to the future warfare in the international setting, which is of great practical significance for strengthening military preparedness of the army.
4.Optimal extraction of effective constituents from Radix Polygalae based on central composite design/response surface methodology
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(03):-
AIM: To optimize the process of extracting effective constituents from Radix Polygalae by central composite design/response surface methodology. METHODS: Independent variables were ethanol concentration, reflux time and solvent fold, dependent variable was extraction rate of senegenin in Radix Polygalae.Linear or nolinear mathematic models were used to estimate the relationship between independent and dependent variables.Response surface methodology was used to optimize the process of extraction.Prediction was carried out through comparing the observed and predicted values. RESULTS: Regression coefficients of binomial fitting complex model was as high as 0.979 0, the optimum conditions of extraction process were 60% ethanol,2.5 hours for reflux,10-fold solvent and 2 times for extraction.Bias between observed and predicted values was-5.93%. CONCLUSION: It shows that the optimum model is highly predictive.
5.Some guidelines on medical service projects of Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(09):-

Objective To investigate complications of polyacrylamide hydrogel injection for augmentation mammaplasty and treatment of the complications so as to reduce the suffering of the patients to the lowest degree. Methods The clinical signs of 8 cases who had complications after polyacrylamide hydrogel injection for augmentation mammaplasty were studied. Results The complications of 8 cases included bleeding, hard nodule, aseptic inflammation and difficulty to clean the filling material completely from the normal tissue of human body. Conclusions The complications mainly result from improper procedure during the operation. Cautious attitude should be taken in the clinical application of this material and it should not be abused. Furthermore, the standard and appropriate method and technique for the operation should be employed.
8.Complications of augmentation mammoplasty: ultrasonic diagnosis
Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2002;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the significance of using 2-dimonsional ultrasonography and color Doppler ultrasonography in the diagnosis of the complications of augmentation mammoplasty. Methods 21 cases were diagnosed by the 7.0~11.0 MHz high-frequency 2-dimonsional ultrasonography and color Dopplar ultrasonography, which were proved by the second operation. Results There were characteristic 2-dimonsional voice pictures in the implants folding, moving, oozing, and sclerosis of membrane, and the tissues around the implants had more or less color blood picture and Dopplar frequency expression. Conclusion Ultrasonography has great diagnostic value and clinical significance in the detection of complications after augmentation mammoplasty.
9.Progress in Study on Animal Models of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Intervention with Traditional Chinese Medicine
Acta Laboratorium Animalis Scientia Sinica 2009;17(6):478-483
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a disease of dysgenesia and dysmetabolism. Its clinical manifestations include hyperandrogenism, ovulation failure, hyperinsulinemia, elevated serum LH level, obesity and sterility. Histological examination of ovary reveals polycystic changes. It is difficult to carry out clinical research because of its complicated pathogenesis, pathophysiology and multiple biochemical changes and clinical manifestations. It is necessary to study PCOS using animal models. In this article, the authors introduce some methods of establishing animal models of PCOS, such as androgen administration (including testosterone propionate, dehydroepiandrosterone), combination of insulin with HCG, use of estradiol valerate, combination of progestrone with HCG, aromatic cyclase inhibitor method, and so on, and review the effects of traditional Chinese medicine on the intervention of PCOS.
