Dry eye is a group of multifactor-induced ocular surface symptoms.The conventional therapy for dry eye is to increase the tear passively,such as topical administration of artificial tears eye drops and blockage of lacrimal punctum.However,with a better understanding of pathogenesis of dry eye,it is thought that an ideal method for dry eye is to promote the secretion of tear.Studies showed that P2Y2 receptor agonists can promote the lacrimal gland to secrete tear actively.Up to now,multiple synthetic P2Y2 receptor agonist mimics have been studied,and these studies confirmed that these drugs can improve the secretion of not only water-like tear but also mucoprotein,which can alleviate symptoms in patients with dry eye.In addition,good safety also is clarified by clinical trial of phase Ⅰ.This review briefly summarize the researches on active mechanism,clinical efficacy and applying prospect of P2Y2 receptor agonist for the treatment of dry eye.

Objective To constitute the short form of Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC). Methods After selecting 6 subtests by regression, this study was based on the development of the Chinese Version of the 6 Subtests Short Form of WISC-Ⅳ based on the　data derived from the norm sample via the norm method and equation procedure. Results and Conclusion The best structure of the 6 subtests short form of WISC-Ⅳ consists of 6 subtests: similarities, comprehension, block design, matrix reasoning, digit span and coding, in which the reliability and validity were excellent. The results of division for children of intellectual disabilities is close to that of the full Chinese Version of WISC-Ⅳ.

Objective To explore the mode of psychological and behavior intervention which suitable for convalescent cancer patients,and evaluate its clinical effects in order to provide empirical basis for nursing care of cancer patients. Methods havior intervention condition. All the patients were evaluated by General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES),ProfiIe of Mood States-Short Form(POMS-SF) and Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core 30(QLQ-C30)before and after the intervention. Result Compared with the control group,the scores of self-efficacy and quality of life were significantly improved in the experimental group (P< 0.01),while the total score and factor scores of POMS-SF such as tension-anxiety (TA),anxiety-hostility(AH),fatigne-inertia (FI),and confusion-babelism(CB)were significantly decreased(P<0.05). Conclusion Psychological and behavior intervention is proved to be feasible and effective to improve the mental health status,self-efficacy and quality of life in convalescent cancer patients.

Objective To investigate the tendency of diapause symptoms in breast cancer patients during their chemotherapy. Method Sixty-four breast cancer patients with chemotherapy participated in the study by using Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI), the cancer fatigue scale (CFS), the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and the self-rating depression scale (SDS) to assess their sleep, fatigue, anxiety and depression at every first day from the second course to sixth one of chemotherapy. Results The diapause symptoms including fatigue, sleep disorders, anxiety and depression varied with the therapeutic course progressing. The conditions in sleep quality, fatigue and depression were the poorest at the diapause of the fourth course and the condition of anxiety was the poorest at the diapause of the third course. Conclusion The medical staff should attach importance to the patients'physical and mental problems brought by the process of chemotherapy, strengthen the regulation of psychosomatic symptoms during chemotherapic diapause, and give reasonable control and intervention before the symptoms deteriorating.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the reliability of the probe melting curve analysis (PMCA) based on real-time fluorescent PCR assay for the genetic diagnosis and prenatal diagnosis of β-thalassemia.MethodsA total of 135 cases of peripheral blood samples were collected from Zhuhai Municipal Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital between 2008 and 2010.All the samples were performed preliminary diagnosis according to the hematological data.Of these,119 cases were diagnosed as β-thalassemia trait,4 cases were diagnosed as severe thalassemia and 12 cases were normal.In addition,44 cases of amniotic fluid and 8 cases of cord blood with high-risk for severe β-thalassemia were also collected.The diagnostic reliability of the PMCA assay and reverse dot blot assay was evaluated on 187 above-mentioned cases by direct DNA sequencing analysis in a double-blind study.ResultsThe genotypes of 185 cases were detected accurately based on the PMCA assay except for two cases:one heterozygote with Ini( ATG ＞ AGG) was omitted and another heterozygote couldn't be distinguished between CD43 ( G ＞ T) and CD37 ( G ＞ A ).For the RDB assay,only one heterozygote with CD71-72 ( + T) was not detected accurately in the above-mentioned cases.Compared with the DNA sequencing analysis,the sensitivity,specificity,negative predictive value,positive predictive value and diagnostic efficiency of the PMCA assay were 98.75％,100.00％,93.10％,100.00％ and 98.93％,respectively.The corresponding value of the RDB assay were 99.38％,100.00％,96.42％,100.00％ and 99.47％,respectively.There were no significant between-group differences in the diagnostic efficiency of the two assays ( P ＞ 0.05 ).The results of prenatal diagnosis were in complete concordance with the follow up results,after the birth or induced labour of the fetuses.ConclusionsThe PMCA assay can be used as an alternative and verified method of RDB assay for the genetic diagnosis and prenatal diagnosis of β-thalassemia.

Objective To provide data evidence for early diagnosis of bone and joint damage derived from brucellosis by analyzing its clinical and imaging characteristics.Methods Patients with brucellosis accepted in Ji'nan Infectious Disease Hospital form December 2013 to December 2014 were selected.Patients with bone and joint damage confirmed through imaging were further studied,their epidemiological and clinical characters,CT and MRI characteristics,treatment and outcome were summarized.Results Total of 97.8％ (45/46) patients had a clear contact history,most of them worked in poultry farming,taking up to 67.4％ (31/46).July to October was its peak time for attacking,taking up to 58.7％ (27/46).The clinical manifestations of patients were joint pain,swelling and activities obstacles.In the CT images,there was obvious bony destruction,characterized by multiple round or large areas of low density insect damage sample spots.There was osteosclerotic bone lesions or osteophyte formatted in edge.The paravertebral soft tissue was swelling,and the vertebral body deformation was not obvious,and there was vertebra small joint damage occasionally.In the MRI images,there was vertebral ligaments damage,or soft tissue damage,or osteoproliferation at the edge of the vertebral bodies.There was abnormal signal T1W1 or T2W1 signal,and FS-T1W1 showed high signal,while FS-T2W1 showed slightly high signal.The diagnosis rate of CT,MRI and CT combined MRI for bone and joint damage derived from brucellosis was 76.1％ (35/46),84.8％ (39/46) and 91.3％ (42/46),respectively.The main therapeutic drugs were doxycycline and rifampicin,and the clinical effective rate was 91.3％ (42/46).Conclusion The epidemiological characters,CT and MRI characteristics of bone and joint damage derived from brucellosis have certain representativeness,and the comprehensive investigation is beneficial for clinical diagnosis.

This study aimed to detect the combined effects of gallic acid (GA)and ciprofloxacin (CIP)on the murine chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS)model in mice.Pseudomonas aeruginosa from refractory CRS nasal samples were isolated and a CRS model in mice was induced.GA and CIP were intragastrically administered singly or in combination.The nasal histopathologic change was observed by hematoxylin and eosin (HE)staining.The concentration of TNF-α;IL-6 and IL-8 in serum were determined by ELISA assay.The activity of SOD and contents of MDA and ROS were measured with commercially available kits.The expressions of IκB;NF-κB p65;TNF-α;IL-6 and IL-8 in nasal mucosa tissues were measured by Western blotting assay.The results showed that the inflammation of CRS in each treatment group was significantly attenuated.The expression level of TNF-α;IL-6;IL-8;MDA;NF-κB p65 and the contents of ROS were reduced significantly in treated groups;while the activity of SOD and the expression level of IκB were increased.More obvious effects were achieved in CA and CIP combined group.The data showed that combination of GA and CIP was superior to GA or CIP alone;and the combined therapy might be related with inhibiting NF-κB signaling pathway and downregulating the expressions of TNF-α;IL-6 and IL-8.

Objective To observe the effect of serum containing Dahuang Zhechong Pills on vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF) expression in K562 cells of chronic myelogenous leukemia ( CML) and to develop new antiangiogenic drugs for CML treatment. Methods Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ( ELISA) was used for the detection of serum VEGF content in 38 CML patients, 11 acute myelogenous leukemia patients and 9 healthy volunteers. SD rats were used for the preparation of serum containing Dahuang Zhechong Pills, and then ELISA was applied for the detection of VEGF content in K562 cells pretreated with serum containing Dahuang Zhechong Pills. Results Compared with the healthy volunteers, myelogenous leukemia patients at chronic phase and acute phase had high serum VEGF content ( P<0.05 or P<0.01) . Compared with blank serum control group, the secretion of VEGF in K562 cells pretreated with serum containing Dahuang Zhechong Pills was decreased obviously ( P<0.01) , and VEGF expression decreased with the increase of drug concentration. Conclusion VEGF content is increased in myelogenous leukemia patients at chronic phase and acute phase, which may be related to the pathogenesis, progress and prognosis of chronic myelogenous leukemia. Serum containing Dahuang Zhechong Pills can inhibit the expression of VEGF in chronic myelogenous leukemia K562 cells and decrease VEGF protein expression in concentration-dependent manner.

Objective To investigate the correlation between the erythrocyte indices and the genotypes of alpha thalassemia.Methods337 carriers with various genotypes of alpha-thalassaemia ( iron deficiency,alpha-thalassemia double heterozygote and homozygote,α-compounding β-thalassemia and abnormal hemoglobinopathy were excluded) were classified into three groups based on different genotypes of alpha-thalassaemia including silent thalassemia group (ST,83 cases),α-thalassemia trait group (TT,210cases) and intermediate thalassemia group( IT,44 cases),and 154 healthy adults were randomly choosed as normal control The erythrocyte indices involving in RBC,Hb,MCV,MCH,MCHC and RDW-CV were retrospectively analyzed and the difference of which was compared by analysis of variance and SNK test among aboved-mentioned groups.ResultsThere were statistical significance among groups about erythrocyte indices except Hb F.The order of the level of MCV and MCH was NC [( 86.6 ± 5.2) fl,( 29.5 ± 2.1 ) pg] ＞ST[(80.1 ±3.3) fl,(26.7±1.3) pg] ＞TT[(68.5 ±3.4) fl,(22.0 ±1.2) pg] ＞IT[(66.6±7.1)fl,(20.0 ±2.2) pg,F =580.67,761.19,P ＜0.05].And the size of RDW-CV was IT(22.3 ±3.4)％ ＞TT (14.9±1.2) ％ ＞ST(13.8±1.6)％ ＞NC(13.2±1.4)％(F=347.25,P＜0.05).In ST group,the value of MCHC of -α3.7/αα subgroup( 335.6 ± 8.0) g/L was higher than that of -α4.2/αα subgroup( 330 ±7.2) g/L and αTα/αα subgroup (328.4 ±9.5) g/L(F=6.07,P ＜0.05).Meanwhile,in IT group,the value of MCV of αTα/--SEA subgroup( 70.1 ± 7.2 ) fl was higher than that of -α3.7/--SEA subgroup ( 63.4 ±5.9) fl and -α4.2/--SEA subgroup ( 64.1 ± 4.0 ) fl ( F =5.55,P ＜ 0.05 ).However,the value of MCHC of αTα/--SEA subgroup( 289.7 ± 21.2 ) g/L was lower than that of other two subgroups [( 306.3 ± 8.4 ),(306.1 ± 8.7) g/L,F =8.72,P ＜0.05].Except Hb A2 and Hb F,there was positive correlation between the number of deleted α-globin gene and that of RBC and RDW-CV ( r =0.318 and 0.580,P ＜0.01 ).Nevertheless,there was negative correlation between the number of deleted α-globin gene and that of the other erythrocyte indices (r =-0.483,-0.827,-0.744 and -0.684,P all ＜0.01 ).ConclusionsThere is close correlation between the degree of anemia and the number of deleted α-globin gene characterized by Hb reduction and RBC increasing.In addition,the anemia degree of non-deletional Hb H disease is severer than that of deletional Hb H,which of Hb H disease with -α4.2/--SEA is severer than that with -α3.7/--SEA.
