Livin,a novel member of human inhibitor of apoptosis protein family,is highly expressed in various malignant tumors. It plays an important role in the initiation,development,treatment and prognosis of tumors.Many studies have proved that down-regulation of Livin expression using RNA interference technique can reduce tumor growth,increase the apoptotic rate,and sensitize tumor cells to radiotherapy and chemo therapy.Full-length Livin is cleaved by the effector caspases to produce a truncated form (tLivin) with apoptosis-promotion activity.tLivin provides a new direction for the treatment of the malignant tumors.

Matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) are gelatinases of matrix metalloproteinase family,which play a crucial role in the cancer cell growth,differentiation,invasion,migration,the regulation of tumour angiogenesis and immune surveillance because of their ability to degrade extracellular matrix proteins.So they are significantly associated with development and progression of various tumors.In recent years,the inhibitors and drugs against MMP-2 and MMP-9 arouse wide concern.

Targeted therapy such as the epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI)has made huge progress in treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).However,the emergence of acquired drug resistance is an inevitable result of the targeted therapy.The hepatocyte growth fac-tor/c-mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor (HGF /c-Met)signaling pathway participates in cell formation, migration,angiogenesis and other important cellular processes of multiple tumors.The abnormal activation of this signaling pathway plays the pivotal role in the acquired resistance to EGFR-TKI.Recently,some clinic tri-als prove that HGF /c-Met inhibitors can make clinical benefit of some NSCLC patients with acquired drug re-sistance of EGFR-TKI.

Dendritic cells(DC)present telomerase reverse transcriptase(hTERT)to T lymphocytes, stimulating specific reactions of cytotoxic T cells and CD4 + T cells. Researches on the relationship between natural killer(NK)cells and telomerase of tumor cells are scarce. DC and NK cells act together promoting antitumor responses and possibly participate in anti-tumor immune responses with telomerase.

Immunotherapy has become an important treatment for melanoma.The anti-cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen-4 (CTLA-4) antibody or programmed death-1 (PD-1)/programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitor is safe and effective for melanoma patients with autoimmune disease (AD).However, when such patients are treated with anti-CTLA-4 antibody or PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors, their condition changes should be closely monitored to prevent and avoid possible AD progression and immune-related adverse events.

The experiment of recirculating blood perfusion device showed that trimetazidine (TMZ ) 30 mol/L could significantly inhibit the arrhythmias induced by ischemia and reperfusion, decrease the content of malondialdehyde and improve superoxide dismutase activity of red blood cell in isolated rabbit hearts. In the experiment with coronary artery occlusion of rats, TMZ 4mg/kg administered intravenously could also inhibit arrhythmias induced by ischemia and reperfusion. The mechanism may be related to the depression of lipid peroxidation reaction.

Objective To investigate operation time on biliary duct stone with acute gallstone pancreatitis.Methods The clinical data of 44 patients with acute gallstone pancreatitis who were admitted to Department of General Surgery,Taicang First People's Hospital for surgical management from January 2011 to December 2013 were retrospectively analyzed.Patients were divided into early surgery group and delayed surgery group according to the timing.Early surgery group was defined as the patients whose symptoms of pancreatitis were basically disappeared after conservative treatment and surgery was performed within two weeks,while delayed surgery group was defined as the patients who underwent surgery after two weeks.Results Of the 44 acute gallstone pancreatitis cases,18 patients were males,and 26 were females,with median age of 54 years old (range 26-83 years old).Forty-two cases were mild acute pancreatitis and the other two cases were severe acute pancreatitis.Preoperative imaging indicated both cholecystolithiasis and choledocholithiasis in 5 patients,cholecystolithiasis alone in 39 patients.The 5 patients underwent cholecystectomy and choledocholithotomy with T-tube drainage.Among these 5 cases,one patient with concomitant acute suppurative cholangitis had an emergency surgery,two patients with Ranson score ≤3 had early surgery,and two patients with Ranson score ≥4 had delayed surgery,and all the patients were cured and discharged.Thirty-nine cases with cholecystolithiasis alone were treated with laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Among the 39 patients,25 patients underwent early laparoscopic cholecystectomy,and the other 14 patients underwent delayed surgery,and all the patients were cured and discharged.When compared with delayed group,the average age and Ranson score of early group were lower [(46 ± 12) yrs vs (64 ± 11) yrs and (1.0 ± 0.5) vs (1.5 ± 0.8)],and the median hospital length of stay and the cost were significantly less in the early group than those in the delayed group [(14.0 ± 2.8) d vs (18.1 ± 3.3) d and (17 899 ± 3461) Yuan vs (23 710 ± 3230) Yuan],and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Nevertheless,there was no difference between the operation time and recovery time.There was no conversion to open surgery or post-operative complication in the two groups.Conclusions For severe acute pancreatitis,the delayed operation is recommended when the symptom of pancreatitis is completely improved after conservative management,while for mild acute pancreatitis,early surgery does not increase operation difficulty and complication,and it can decrease the length of hospital stays and costs.

AIM: Shengdeye is a kind of medicinal wine. It is fermented with 30 kinds of medicinal herbs such as glossy ganoderma, pilose antler, panax, medlar and sorghum. This study aimed to observe the effects of Shengdeye on anti-fatigue and memory in mice.METHODS: The mice were fed with Shengdeye 5 ml*kg-1 and 2.5 ml*kg-1 2 times per day. After 7 days, the mice were examined on anoxia-resistant and swimming test for anti-fatigue and step down test for memory.RESULTS: The anoxia-resistant of shengdege group was apparently longer than that of the control group ［(29.60±1.36) min vs (24.40±3.13) min, P＜0.01］, and the swimming time was sharply increased ［(142.6±53.8) min for 2.5 ml*kg-1 and (162.9±43.5) min for 5 ml*kg-1 vs (94.9±39.1) min, P＜0.05］. The error times of shengdege group was lower than that of the control ［(1.5±1.4) times and (2.3±1.3) times vs (3.7±1.1) times， P＜0.01］. The delitescence of two group were sharply prolonged ［(136.8±50.1) s, and (128.0±41.5) s vs (50.2±42.9) s， P＜0.01］.CONCLUSION: The results indicated that Shengdeye had an anti-fatigne effect and increased the faculty of memory. The experiment of acute toxicity showed that the medicinal herbs in Shyengdeye were safe.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the formulation of Compound tripterygium hypoglaucum gel. METHODS:Using the comprehensive score(total score was 15.0)composed by forming property,glossiness,uniformity,viscosity,pH,spreadable prop-erty and stability as indexes,using the usage amount of carbomer 940,propylene glycol,triethanolamine and extracts in formula as study factors,orthogonal test was designed to optimized the formulation of Compound tripterygium hypoglaucum gel,and the verification test was conducted. RESULTS:The optimal matrix formulation was as follow as carbomer 9401.0 g,azone 2.0 g,so-dium bisulfite 0.4 g,extracts 50 mL,propylene glycol 10 g,triethanolamine 1.0 g,adding water to 100 g. The average comprehen-sive score of the gel in verification test was 14.8 (RSD=1.35%,n=3). CONCLUSIONS:The optimized formulation of Com-pound tripterygium hypoglaucum gel shows good forming property,the quality meets the requirements.
