Objective To explore the effect of family mission intervention on family function and parental self-efficacy in children with malignant tumor. Methods 58 children with malignant tumor from 4 tertiary general hospitals in Tangshan city were included. Their parents were divided into control group (n=28) and intervention group (n=30). Both groups received routine treatment and nursing, while the intervention group received family mission intervention in addition. They were evaluated with Feetham Family Functioning Survey (FFFS) and the Self-Efficacy for Parenting Tasks Index-Toddler Scale (SEPTI) before and after intervention. Results After intervention, the total FFFS score (1.01±0.55), family and individual relationship score (0.79±0.64), and family and social relations score (1.21±0.92) were lower in the intervention group than in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of limit/constraint (4.19±0.55), game (4.09±0.32), and education (4.17± 0.78) of SEPTI were higher in the intervention group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Family mission intervention can improve the family function of children with malignant tumor, and improve the parents' self-efficacy.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the role of real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR assay in the early diagnosis of invasive aspergillosisi(IA) after allo-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.METHODS All 123 serum samples from 18 IA patients and 38 no-invasive fungal infection(IFI) patients were detected by TaqMan-based real-time PCR to explore the cutoff of this array,while the primer and probe could amplificate five major Aspergillus species including A.fumigatus,A.flavus,A.niger,A.terreus and A.oryzae.RESULTS The optimal value could be acheived while the cutoff was set as two or more consecutive sample DNA≥15pg/?l in a week,and the sensitivity and specificity was 94.4% and 100.0%,respectively.CONCLUSIONS Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR is helpful in early diagnosis of invasive aspergillosis.

Objective To investigate the effect of health education and behavioral intervention on the self-perceived burden of patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumor at end-stage.Methods From March 2012 to April 2013,70 patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumor whose lifetime was estimated to be within 6 months were extracted from five general hospitals in Tangshan.70 patients were randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group with 35 cases in each group.The two groups samely received routine nursing care,while the intervention group was given health education and behavioral intervention.Both groups were evaluated by SPBS-CP before and after intervention.Results The scores of the intervention group after intervention were lower than before intervention and the control group,which were reflected in 3 dimensions such as care burden,psychological and emotional burden and treatment burden.Conclusions Health education and behavioral intervention can effectively relieve self-perceived burden of patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumor at end-stage.

Objective To explore the correlation of posttraumatic growth with social support in patients with gastrointestinal neoplasms at the end of life.Methods Cluster random sampling was used to select 280 patients with gastrointestinal neoplasms who were predicted to survive no longer than 6 months in 10 first-class hospitals in Beijing and Tangshan,and they were investigated by Posttraumatic Growth Inventor (PTGI) and Social Support Rate Scale (SSRS).Results The total score of PTGI (61.13 ± 16.78)and the scores of appreciation of life (23.71±7.34),personal strength(10.67±3.55),new possibility(10.07±2.11),relating to others(12.54±5.14),spititual change(10.89±4.35)were higher than median value.The total score of SSRS(41.21±8.48) and objective support(10.27±2.75) were higer than the normal level((39.05±6.35),(8.42±2.27)) (P＜0.05).The appreciation of life was positively correlated with subjective support and the total score of SSRS (r=0.25,r=0.26,P＜0.05),personal strength was positively correlated with objective support,subjective support and the total score of SSRS(r=0.24,r=0.29,r=0.23,P＜0.05),new possibility was positively correlated with subjective support(r=0.21,P＜0.05),relating to others was positively correlated with objective support and the total score of SSRS (r=0.26,r=0.26,P＜0.05),spititual change was positively correlated with objective support and subjective support (r=0.28,r=0.31,P＜0.05).The total score of PTGI was positively correlated with subjective support and the total score of SSRS (r=0.29,r=0.29,P＜0.05).Conclusion Patients with gastrointestinal neoplasms at the end of life experience a certain extent of posttraumatic growth and high level of social support.Posttraumatic growth is positively correlated with social support.

Objective To explore the impact of self-care efficacy and psychological resilience on post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) in breast cancer patients.Methods 303 patients with breast cancer were investigated with PTSD Checklist-Civilian Version(PCL-C),Chinese version of strategies used by people to promote health (C-SUPPH) and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC).Results The total score of PCL-C was (38.02±8.35) and the incidence of PTSD in breast cancer inpatients was 20.13％ with 61 cases.Correlation analysis showed that PTSD was negatively correlated with the score of self-care efficacy (r=-0.387) and psychological resilience (r=-0.341) (P＜ 0.01,P＜ 0.05).Multiple regression analysis showed that self-care efficacy (β=-0.274),psychological resilience (β=-0.149) and neoplasm staging(β=0.136) were influencing factors of PTSD.Conclusion Intervention measures should be taken according to self-care efficacy and psychological resilience of breast cancer patients so as to reduce the PTST incidence and improve mental health of patients.

Objective To explore the relationships of post- traumatic growth with self- care efficacy and psychological resilience in patients with breast cancer. Methods Totally 303 patients with breast cancer were investigated with Post- traumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI), Chinese version of Strategies Used by People to Promote Health (C- SUPPH) and Connor- Davidson Resilience Scale (CD- RISC). Results The total score of PTGI was 63.74±13.00 and the status of post- traumatic growth in breast cancer patients was in middle level, with a highest interpersonal score of 24.49±5.05, a lowest mental change score of 3.84± 1.91. Correlation analysis showed that post- traumatic growth was positively correlated with the level of self- care efficacy and psychological resilience (P<0.01 or 0.05). Regression analysis showed that self- care efficacy and psychological resilience in breast cancer patients could effectively predict the post- traumatic growth with an explanation rate of 36.1%. Conclusions Self- care efficacy and psychological resilience in patients with breast cancer are closely correlated with post- traumatic growth. It is suggested to take appropriate measures to promote post-traumatic growth of the breast cancer patients.

ObjectiveTo explore the difference in quality of life in patients with gastrointestinal cancer between those who knew cancer diagnosis and those who did not.Methods 130 patients with recently diagnosed gastrointestinal cancer in 4 general hospitals in Tangshan were interviewed. Patients were categorized into two groups:one group was those who knew their diagnosis(n=62) and the other group was those who did not ( n =68).The Chinese version of European Organization for Research and Treatment (EORTC) quality of life (QOL)questionnaire (QLQ-C30) was used.ResultsThe comparison of quality of life between patients who knew their diagnosis and those who did not indicated that the score of global quality of life and other functional scales including physical,emotional,role and cognitive functioning did not show significant difference(P ＞ 0.05 ).Compared with those who did not know cancer diagnosis,patients who were aware of diagnosis showed a significant lower degree of social functioning ( (45.8 ± 24.2 ) vs ( 73.0 ± 16.2 ) ),a significant higher degree of fatigue ( ( 55.8 ±26.2) vs (41.8 ±10.2) ) and financial difficulties ((38.2 ±35.1) vs (12.00 ±10.0) ) (P＜0.01).In multiple regression analysis,physical functioning and symptom of fatigue had statistically significant differences (P＜ 0.05 ).ConclusionThe knowledge of cancer diagnosis does not contribute to the quality of life in patients with gastrointestinal cancer.

OBJECTIVETo explore the incidence, influence factors and treatment methods of oral mucositis (OM) following hematopoietic stem cells transplantation (HSCT).

METHODSA clinical analysis about the total 71 OM cases occurring after HSCT among 166 patients in Peking University People's Hospital during 2009 was completed.

RESULTSThe healing rate of OM was 95.77% and the average healing time was (17.61 +/- 8.36) d after HSCT. There were no obvious effects of gender, age, HLA matches, conditioning regimen to the healing time of OM (P > 0.05).

CONCLUSIONGender, age, HLA matches and conditioning regimen have no obvious effects on healing time. By given timely and effective treatment, the incidence of OM can be reduced and even severe OM can also be well cured.

Objective To observe the effect of dietary fat on diet-induced obesity in mice. Methods Forty 3-week.old male C57BL6 mice were randomly divided into four groups(1-4)fed withdiets of different amounts of lard [0%,20%,40%and 60%of total energy (kcal)].Plasma glucose,lipids,insulin and other parameters were measured after 7 weeks.Moreover,the livers and kidneys were taken for histopathological evaluation and white fatty tissues were taken to analyse adipose'associated geneexpressions using gene chip technology.Results There were statistically significant differences in weight, blood slucose.triglyceride,total cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.insulin and adiposity index between the 1st and the 4th group.Obvious lipid deposition in the liver and kidney sections was found in the 4th group.Thirteen adipose-associated genes were up-regulated in exDression and 8 genes down.regulated by over 2-fold in the adipocytes of the 4th group. Conclusions The mice fed with high-fat diet developed evident obesity,insulin resistance and abnormal lipid metabolism.The obesity was induced by high-fat diet via regulating some of the orexigenic genes,anorexigenie genes and the genes involved in energy expenditure in adipocytes of mice.

Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) primed donor peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) on the treatment of poor graft function (PGF) after allogeneic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT).Methods The patients diagnosed as PGF after allo-HSCT and transfused with rhG-CSF primed PBSC from January 2003 to November 2012 were retrospectively analyzed.Hematological response was assessed at day 30 after transfusion.Graft versus host disease (GVHD) was assessed until 6 months after transfusion.Results There were 28 patients including 21 men and 7 women with a median age of 28 (12-50) years old.Of these patients,16 were diagnosed as primary PGF.The median number of transfused mononuclear cells was 2.0 (1.0-5.8) ×108/kg.Totally 42.9％ (12/28) patients achieved good response.Eight patients (28.6％) developed GVHD.Sixteen patients (57.1％) survived.Age (≤/＞ 28 years),gender,donor type (matched sibling/mismatched related),additional conditioning regimen prior to transfusion,time of neutrophil engraftment (≤/＞ 18 days) time of transfusion (≤/＞ 100 days after allo-HSCT) and number of mononuclear cells (≤/＞ 2.0 × 108/kg) did not impact hematological response.However,response rate of primary PGF (4/16) was significantly lower than that of secondary PGF (8/12) (P =0.022).Conclusion Transfusion of PBSC mobilized by rhG-CSF could be considered as an option to treat secondary PGF after allogeneic stem cell transplantation.
