Objective To investigate the influencing factors of pain and the changes of vital signs in newborn infants. Methods Forty two newborn infants were rated by the behavioral scale of acute pain in newborn infants. The scores of pain were compared among infants with different gender, gestational age, birth weight, birth age, type of puncture and whether by vaginal birth or not. At the same time, the respiration rate, heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturation (SO2)were dynami-cally recorded by the multi-function monitor in the process of puncture. Results The average score of pain was 7.6. There was no significant difference among newborn infants with different gender, gestational age, birth weight and type of puncture(P> 0.05),while significant differences among infants with different birth age and whether by vaginal birth or not (P=0.015 and 0.043 respectively). In the process of puncture, the SO2 was significantly decreased, while the respiration rate, heart rate,sys-tolic and diastolic blood pressure were significantly increased. Conclusions Pain is prevalent in newborn infants and accom-panied by obvious changes of vital signs. The means of childbirth and birth age have significant influence on the neonatal pain. It is suggested to pay close attention to the neonatal pain and take effective interventions.

PurposeTo investigate the clinical value of inverted X-ray plain film and MRI examination in the diagnosis of congenital anorectal malformation (CARM). Materials and Methods Thirty-eight cases with operatively proved anorectal malformation were reviewed; inverted X-ray plain film and MRI examination were performed in all patients before surgery. The relationship between the rectum blind side and pubococcygeal line (PC line), and the type of anal atresia was determined, to compare the diagnostic accuracy of inverted plain film with MRI for CARM typing. Results Of all the 38 cases, 19 cases were with low imperforate anus, 8 cases with median imperforate anus, and 11 cases with high imperforate anus. The accuracy rate of inverted X-ray plain film and MRI examination for the diagnosis of CARM typing was 92.1% (35/38) and 97.4% (37/38) respectively, and the difference between them was not statistically significant (χ2=1.37, P>0.05). 7 cases of fistula, 5 cases of spinal cord malformations and 1 case of right kidney agenesis can be clearly demonstrated on MRI. Conclusion Both inverted X-ray plain film and MRI can diagnose the typing of CARM accurately, but MRI is also able to diagnose the fistula, visceral, spinal cord lesion and other abnormalities accompanied with CARM, while reducing the dose of X-ray radiation and damage in children, thus has higher clinical application value compared with inverted X-ray plain film.

Objective:To investigate the difference of physical growth and neurodevelopmen between small for gestational age (SGA) preterm infants and appropriate for gestational age (AGA) preterm infants, and to promote follow-up management and early intervention in SGA preterm infants after discharge. Methods:Preterm infants, who were born at Guangzhou Women and Children′s Medical Center and received regular follow-up management after discharge in high-risk infants outpatient, were enrolled in this study from January 2015 to December 2018.According to gestational age and birth weight, the participants were divided into SGA group and AGA group.Height, weight, head circumference and Gesell outcomes of infants were observed at 6 months and 12 months of corrected age. Results:A total of 144 preterm infants were included in the study, including 63 cases in SGA group and 81 cases in AGA group. Height, weight and head circumference of the SGA group at 6 months and 12 months of corrected age were all lower than the AGA group ( P<0.05). In addition, adaptability, great movement, language, personal social interaction and development quotient in the SGA group were all lower than those in the AGA group at 6 months of corrected age ( P<0.05), while fine movement was not statistically significant ( P>0.05). At 12 months of corrected age, there were no statistically significant differences in adaptability, macro motor, fine motor, language, social interaction and development quotient between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusion:The physical growth of SGA preterm infants falls for behind that of AGA preterm infants. It is still unable for SGA preterm infants to achieve catch-up growth at 12 months of corrected age, their catch-up period may take longer, but the neurodevelopment can reach the same level of preterm AGA.The clinician should pay more attention to the follow-up management and early intervention after discharge.

In recent years, the clinical experts consensuses or guidelines of ankylosing spondylitis (AS)/spondyloarthritis (SpA) have been constantly updated, but to better understand and practice, patient self-participation management is one of the key points to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment. Through questionnaire survey of these patients, we screened out the most concerned issues, and established the AS/SpA patient practice guideline working group with multidisciplinary physicians and patients. Fifteen opinions, as the AS/SpA patient practice guidelines, are proposed in accordance with the relevant principles of the "WHO guidelines development manual" , and with the international normative process.
