Objective To investigate the early risk factors of the formation of pancreatic pseudocysts after severe acute pancreatitis. Methods One hundred patients with severe acute pancreatitis admitted from Jul. 2005 to Mar. 2007 were included. Clinical and laboratory data within 24 hours of admission and radiological tests of chest, abdominal dynamic contrast-enhanced computed tomography and abdominal ultrasound within 3 days after admission were analyzed and multiple stepwise logistic regression analysis was performed. Results 30 patients developed pancreatic pseudocysts and the incidence of pancreatic pseudocysts in the clinical course of severe acute pancreatitis was 30%. There were significant difference between group A (pancreatic pseudocyst group) and group B (non-pancreatic pseudocyst group) in serum albumin[(33.23±4.810g/L vs (36.07±4.92)g/L], CT severity index (CTSI) (3~6 vs 2~4 points) ,length of hospital stay[(26.83±19.760) day vs (14.51±7.71) days, (P<0.05)]. Meanwhile, there were no significant differences between the two groups in age, gender proportion, body temperature, heart rate, breath rate and mean arterial pressure in admission, urine volume within 24 hours, early defaecation within 24 hours after admission, blood routine, liver function, kidney function, electrolytes, blood cholesterol and triglycerol, PT, APTr, arterial blood gas analysis, blood amylase, C-reaction protein, APACHE Ⅱ, RANSON scoring, early ascites and pleural effusion. But multiple stepwise logistic regression analysis showed that the serum albumin and CTSI were associated with the formation of pancreatic pseudocysts after severe acute pancreatids. Conclusions The serum albumin and CTSI were the independent risk factors of the formation of pancreatic pseudocysts after severe acute pancreatitis.

Objective To investigate the effects of ciyelosporine-A(CsA).a calcinenrin(CAN)inhibitor,on electrophysiological propertiesof atria in canine tachycardia-induced model of AF.Methods Eighteen healthy adult mongrel canines weighing 17.0 to 23.2 kg(rangedfrom 2 to 4 years old)were randomized to 3 groups,Sham group(no pacemaker was implanted),atrial tachypacing group(ATP group)each group at baseline and after 8 weeks' tachypacing.Measurements included atrial effective refractory period(AERP),conductionvelocity(CV),wave length(WE),atrial fibrillation load and rate-adaptability. Results After 8 weeks' atrial tachypacing,ATP andCsA groups showed significant longer duration of the P wave, shorter AERP,decreased adaptation of AERE slower CV,shorter Wland longer AF duration compared to the shamg roup (all P<0.05).AERP of the CsA group was longer than that of ATP group (P<0.05),but there were no differences in rate-adaptability,CV,incidence of induced AF and AF duration between CsA group and ATP group. Conclusions Our results suggest that calcineurin pathway intervention by CsA have a positive effect on tachycardia-inducedelectrical remodeling of atria, but can not prevent or reverse AF.

Objective To investigate the molecular epidemiological characteristics and homology of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus)isolated from patients in intensive care units (ICUs)of a hospital,so as to provide laboratory basis for the effective control of healthcare-associated infection(HAI). Methods 62 S. aureus strains isolated from various specimens from ICU patients with infection in March-August 2013 were collected,7 housekeeping genes were amplified with polymerase chain reaction (PCR),the amplified products were sequenced,ST typing of strains was performed by multilocus sequence typing (MLST ), phylogenetic analysis of ST typing was conducted. Results 62S. aureus strains were amplified specific product of 7 housekeeping genes;there were 10 ST genotypes, in which 2 ST genotypes(STn1and STn2)were first discovered,1 ST genotype(ST675)was first discovered domes-tically. ST239 was the main ST type of S. aureus from ICU patients in this hospital, accounting for 74.20% ,which distributed in 6 ICUs,ST5 distributed in 3 ICUs. 62 strains formed 7 main branches in the phylogenetic tree,55 (88.71% )MRSA strains were detected. Conclusion S. aureus isolated from hospital ICUs has some homology, and the small number of types showed the trend of concentrated distribution.
