1.DETERMINATION OF EIGHT TRACE ELEMENTS IN SERUM AND HAIR OF NORMAL SUBJECTS AND PATIENTS WITH ENDEMIC FLUOROSIS
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(03):-
8 trace elements including Cu, P, Zn, Mg, Fe, Ca, Mn, and Ba were determined in 60 volunteers and 41 patients with endemic fluorosis. The results showed that in the patient's group serum Cu was substantially higher and serum Zn as well as Fe were lower while hair Cu and Mg were both significantly elevated as compared with controls.Based on the results mentioned above, it may be suggested that hair could be used as an alternative source for clinical measurement of trace elements because of its easy availability. The significance of the changes in the 8 trace elements was also discussed, but the pathological mechanism has been unknown yet.
2.Experience of laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation in the application of primary liver cancer
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2015;(7):1049-1051
Objective To study the effectiveness of laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation in the application of primary liver cancer. Methods 92 patients with primary liver cancer were randomly divided into the two groups, the control group(n=46)and the observation group(n=46).The control group was operated through hepatectomy, while the observation group was operated through laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation. The recurrence rate, survival time, quality of life in the two groups were observed. Results Separately on the recurrent tumor of different diameter were compared between the two groups,no significant difference in relapse rate(χ2 =2.14,1.92,all P>0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in 3,12,24 months about survival cases (χ2 =1.24,1.96,2.08,all P>0.05 ).To compute the expected survival rate with Kaplan Meier method, the control group survival time was 22.3 months, the observation group survival time was 21.1 months,no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05 ).The two groups after operation in 3 months, the quality of life of patients all patients were increased, and the observation group improved significantly, compared with the control group (t=2.676,P<0.05 ).Conclusion Laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation had quite effect and liver resection operation curative, but can improve the quality of life.
3.Research progress of CTGF/CCN2 in the development and targeted therapy of malignant tumor
Practical Oncology Journal 2017;31(4):363-366
The current incidence of malignant tumors is increasing.Although we have been exploring the mechanism of tumor development and its treatment, its efficacy is little.Malignant tumor development mechanism is very complex, and a variety of proteins and genes involved.Connective tissue growth factor(CTGF,also known as CCN2)is a secreted protein,a member of the CCN family, which plays a very important role in the development and progression of tumors. This article summarizes the structure and function of CTGF /CCN2 protein, the mechanism of action in the development of malignant tumors and the latest research progress in targeted therapy.
4.Stability of lumbar vertebrae with lumbar spondylolisthesis after lumbar fusion and implant internal fixation
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(35):6339-6344
BACKGROUND:The purpose of the treatment of lumbar spondylolisthesis is to reconstruct the spine sequence and vertebral stability, relieve nerve compression, and achieve permanent lumbar fusion.
OBJECTIVE:To explore the restore of vertebral stability of the lumbar spondylolisthesis patients after lumbar fusion and implant internal fixation.
METHODS:The lumbar spondylolisthesis was often divided into dysplastic, isthmic, degenerative, traumatic and pathological with Wiltse classification. The slip degree of upper vertebra relative to lower vertebra on the lumbar X-ray film was divided into five grades, and then the appropriate treatment method was selected according to the classification, grading and specific circumstances of the lumbar spondylolisthesis patients.
RESUTLS AND CONCLUSION:The strong fusion and internal fixation and the rigid connection between
implants and vertebra are often used to stabilize the spine and correct deformities with high bone fusion rate, thus reducing pseudoarticulation formation. Dynamic fusion and internal fixation can distribute the load conduction of rigid internal fixation with elastic material or micro-devices, thus reducing stress shielding and adjacent segment stress concentration. Dynamic non-fusion and internal fixation can change the load transfer mode of spinal
motion segment, inhibit spinal movement and prevent adjacent segment degeneration, in order to make the instable lumbar spine reach its normal activity characteristics, and achieve dynamic reconstruction of lumbar sequence. Lumbar isthmus defects directly repaired with graft is suitable for the young adult with the
symptoms of lumbar spondylolisthesis and without degenerative disc disease. There is no consistent option on which materials and position is suitable for graft in the lumbar spondylolisthesis patients, as wel as which methods for fusion and implant internal fixation can achieve ideal effect.
5.Mitochondrial DNA mutation in essential hypertension
Journal of Geriatric Cardiology 2008;5(1):60-64
Essential hypertension (EH) is an escalating problem for developed and developing countries. It is currently seen as a 'complex' genetic trait caused by multiple susceptibility genes which are modulated by gene-environment and gene-gene interactions.Over the past 10 years, mitochondrial defects have been implicated in a wide variety of degenerative diseases, aging, and cancer.Recently several studies showed that human essential hypertension has excess maternal transmission which suggests a possible mitochondrial involvement. However, the exact pathophysiology of mitochondrial DNA mutation (mtDNA) in essential hypertension still remains perplexing. With the application of a variety of imaging approaches and successive mouse model of mitochonddal diseases we convince that these problems will be resolved in the near future.(J Geriatr Cardiol 2008;5(1):60-64)
6.Effect of hypoxia on chemotaxis of rat polymorphonuclear leukocytes
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(03):-
AIM: To explore the effect of acute and chronic hypoxia on the chemotaxis of polymorphonuclear leukocytes(PMNs) of rats.METHODS: Serum and PMNs were separated from rats under normoxia, acute hypoxia and chronic hypoxia condition, and cell aspiration technology system was used to determine the chemotactic migration of pseudopod of PMNs induced by serum as chemotactic factor.RESULTS: Induced by autoserum, the length of pseudopod of PMNs migrated into micropipette [(1.200?0.178)?m,(1.094?0.164)?m ]under acute hypoxic and chronic hypoxic condition was significantly longer than the corresponding value for control[(0.914?0.156)?m,P
7.Agmatine inhibits proliferation of rat PASMCs induced by hypoxia
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(03):-
AIM: To determine the effect of agmatine on the proliferation of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) induced by hypoxia. METHODS: Primary culture of rat PASMCs was prepared from adult male Wistar rat pulmonary artery by the method of tissue block anchorage. PASMCs were divided into two groups: control group and agmatine-treated group. The activity of LDH in the medium was measured by chromatometry. [3H]-TdR incorporation was measured by liquid scintillation counting. The cell cycle was measured by flow cytometry, and the PCNA content was measured by image analysis. RESULTS: Agmatine did not exert significant effect on the activity of LDH in the medium, but significantly decreased the [3H]-TdR incorporation and PCNA content of PASMCs. Agmatine significantly decreased the cell ratio of G_2/M phase and increased the cell ratio of G_0/G_1 phase. With the increment of the concentration of agmatine, [3H]-TdR incorporation was significantly decreased. CONCLUSION: Agmatine has no significant cytotoxic effect on PASMCs and agmatine dose-dependently inhibits the proliferation of rat PASMCs induced by hypoxia.
8.Research advances in detection and clinical significance of circulating HPV DNA in patients with cervical cancer
China Oncology 2001;0(02):-
Recently, much interest has been focused on the clinical application and biology of tumor-derived DNA in the plasma/serum of cancer patients.Such interest has resulted in the demonstration of human papillomavirus(HPV) DNA in the plasma/serum of patients with cervical cancer(CC).The studies used different materials(plasma /serum),different DNA extraction methods and different primers to detect circulating free HPV DNA,so the positive rates varied from(6.9%) to 50%.The HPV DNA in the plasma/serum of patients suffering from CC most likely originates from the tumor itself, which will probably provide us with a new tool for CC monitoring after primary treatment, especially in patients in advanced stages. It is expected that this promising molecular tumor marker would soon be put into routine clinical use.
9.Research advances concerning in protective effects of estrogen on hypoxia
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
Estrogen has many physiological functions. It can prevent atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease and osteoporosis etc. Phytoestrogen is a kind of natural compounds in plants that is structurally similar to estrogen and has estrogen-like effects. The studies on the effects of estrogen and phytoestrogen on the hypoxia at present is limited and its mechanism is being researched.
