0.05), reduced obviously in hydrotherapy group as compared with sham group. Postsynaptic density (PSD) in hippocampus was more in intervention group than non-intervention group. Conclusion Enriched environment stimulus and hydrotherapy can promote the rehabilitation of neonatal rats with HIBD. The intervention effects of enriched environment and combined application of enriched environment stimulus and hydrotherapy is better than hydrotherapy. The change of NMDA receptor in hippocampus might be one of the mechanism.

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical efficacy and safety of minocycline for acute retrograde pulpitis (ARP) and its ef fects on pain.METHODS:One hundred (100 teeth) ARP patients in Hospital of Qingdao Agriculture University and the Affiliated Hospital of Medical College during Jan.-Oct.in 2015 were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table,with 50 cases in each group (50 teeth).Control group was given root canal therapy of Formaldehyde cresol formocresol solution;observation group was given was given root canal therapy of Minocycline hydrochloride cream.Both groups were re checked 3 days later,and therapeutic efficacy was evaluated after 5 month follow-up;pain score,IL-2 and TNF-α levels were ob served before and 3 d after treatment,and the occurrence of ADR was recorded in 2 groups.RESULTS:The total response rate of observation group was 98.00％,which was significantly higher than 86.00％ of control group,with statistical significance (P＜ 0.05).There was no statistical significance in percussion pain score,mobility score,IL-2 and TNF-αt levels between 2 groups before treatment (P＞0.05).Three days after treatment,percussion pain score,mobility score,IL-2 and TNF-α levels of 2 groups were significantly decreased;the observation group was significantly lower than the control group,with statistical significance (P＜ 0.05).There was no statistical significance in the incidence of ADR between 2 groups (P＞ 0.05).CONCLUSIONS:Minocycline shows significantly therapeutic efficacy for ARP,and can effectively improve pain symptoms with good safety.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of tolterodine plus tamsulosin in rats with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)induced low urinary tract syndrome(LUTS).Methods Male rats were castrated,then testosterone propionate were given by subcutaneous injection to induce BPH/LUTS model.Model rats were intragastrically administrated with 0.4mg/kg of tolterodine,0.04mg/kg of tamsulosin or(0.4+0.04)mg/kg of tolterodine plus tamsulosin for 14 days and urodynamics,residual urine volume and volume of bladder were mearsured.Results Tolterodine plus tamsulosin could simultaneously shorten the micturition duration,prolong the interval duration between micturition,decrease the threshold intravesical pressure at micturition and the max intravesical Pressure at micturition significantly.The combined-therapy method could also decrease the residual urine volume to a certein extent and had no obvious influence on enlarging the volume of bladder(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).Conclusion Combination treatment with tolterodine and tamsulosin may efficiently ameliorate bladder outlet obstrution and overactive bladder simultaneously,with no extra danger of uroschesis.

OBJECTIVE:To study the inhibitory effects of berberine on EA.hy926 human umbilical vein endothelial cells (EA. hy926 cells) injury induced by particulates with no more than 2.5 μm air aerodynamic diameter in atmospheric (PM2.5),and its p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signal pathway mechanism. METHODS:PM2.5 samples were collected and hatched EA.hy926 cells with concentrations of 0(blank control),20,200 and 400 mg/L for 24 h. The survival rate and apoptosis rate of cells,contents of IL-6,TNF-α and MDA,activities of SOD and LDH,protein levels of p-p38 MAPK,Bcl-2 and Bcl-2 associated X protein (Bax) were detected. The above indexes of EA.hy926 cells in blank control group,PM2.5 group (200 mg/L PM2.5), p38 MAPK pathway-specific blocker SB203580 group (20 μmol/L SB203580+200 mg/L PM2.5),berberine low-,medium- and high-concentrations groups(5,10,20 μmol/L berberine+200 mg/L PM2.5)were also determined. RESULTS:Compared with blank control,survival rate of cells,SOD activity and Bcl protein decreased after 200,400 mg/L PM2.5 hatched;apoptosis rate of cells, contents of IL-6,TNF-α and MDA,LDH activity,protein levels of p-p38 MAPK and Bax increased (P<0.05),in concentra-tion-dependent manner. Compared with PM2.5 group,survival rate of cells,SOD activity and Bcl-2 protein increased in berberine medium-,high-concentrations groups and SB203580 group;apoptosis rate of cells,contents of IL-6,TNF-α and MDA,LDH ac-tivity,protein levels of p-p38 MAPK and Bax decreased (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Berberine attenuates PM2.5-induced EA. hy926 cells injury via the inhibition of p38 MAPK pathway.

AIM:To investigate the effect and the mechanism of tanshinone ⅡA in attenuating PM2.5-induced human umbilical vein endothelial EA.hy926 cell injury.METHODS:The samples of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) were collected in Guangzhou and made into suspension.Different concentrations (0, 20, 200 and 400 mg/L) of PM2.5 were added to EA.hy926 cells.The viability and apoptosis of EA.hy926 cells, the protein levels of p-p38 MAPK, Bax and Bcl-2 in the EA.hy926 cells, the contents of interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and malonaldehyde ( MDA) , and the activity of superoxide dismutase ( SOD) and lactic dehydrogenase ( LDH) in the EA.hy926 cell culture supernatant were measured by MTT assay, flow cytometry, Western blot, ELISA and colorimetry, respectively.Tanshinone ⅡA at different concentrations (5, 10 and 20 μmol/L) or a specific inhibitor of p38 MAPK pathway, SB203580 (20μmol/L) , was added into the EA.hy926 cells to observe the effect of tanshinone ⅡA.RESULTS:Compared with control group, PM2.5 significantly increased the apoptosis, the contents of IL-6, TNF-αand MDA, the activity of LDH, and the protein levels of p-p38 MAPK and Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, but decreased the viability and SOD activity in the EA.hy926 cells (P<0.05).Compared with PM2.5 group, tanshinone IIA significantly decreased the apoptosis, the contents of IL-6, TNF-αand MDA, the activity of LDH, and the protein levels of p-38 MAPK and Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, but increased the viabil-ity and SOD activity in the EA.hy926 cells (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Tanshinone ⅡA attenuates PM2.5-induced EA. hy926 cell injury via the inhibition of p38 MAPK pathway.

Objective To observe the effects of self-made Yicong-Shugan drink in the treatment of anxiety disorders before the college entrance examination.Methods Random number table was adopted for dividing 121 outpatients with anxiety disorders before the college entrance examination in the People's Hospital of Gaomi and Gaomi TCM Hospital since January 2007 to March 2011 into a treatment group with 69 cases,and a control group with 52 cases.The treatment group was treated with Yicong-Shugan Decoction,while the control group was given alprazolam.Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA),the Clinical Global Impression Scale (CGI) and Anxiety Rating Scale (SAS) were used to determine the clinical efficacy in both groups before treatment and 1,2,4,6 weeks after the treatment.Results ① In the control group after treatment,one week HAMA score (23.1 ±7.9) was significantly changed than before the treatment (31.1 ±7.6) (P＜0.05); whereas no significant change in the treatment group (P＜0.05).This demonstrated that alprazolam has a faster affection than Yicong-Shugan drink.② HAMA integral scores,CGI integral scores and SAS scores of both groups at 2,4,6 weeks after treatment were:HAMA integral score:(22.6 ± 7.5),(11.7 ± 5.3),(7.9 ± 5.4) in the treatment group,while (18.7 ±6.9),(13.8 ±6.7),(11.8 ±6.5) in the control group; CGI integral score:(3.4 ±0.7),(2.1 ±0.6),(1.8 ±0.7) in the treatment group,while (3.2 ±0.8),(1.8±0.5),and (1.6 ±0.6) in the control group; the SAS scores:(53.8±8.5),(38.7 ±9.6),(30.6 ±7.6) in the treatment group,while (50.2 ±8.9),(41.5 ±9.8),and (39.2 ±8.3) in the control group respectively.All these scores showed significant difference than those before the treatment in the same group (P＜0.01).HAMA and SAS scores in the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group after the treatment (P＜0.01).This demonstrated that both alprazolam tablets and Yicong-Shugan drink have a good anxiolytic effect,but Yicong-Shuxin drink has a longer lasting effects.Conclusion Self made Yicong-Shugan drink can effectively improve the patient with college entrance examination anxiety disorder.Alprazolam tablets have a quicker effects than self-made Yicong-Shugan decoction,while Yicong-Shuxin decoction has a longer lasting effects than alprazolam.

The viability and apop-tosis of EA. hy926 cell, the protein levels of p-ERK1/2, Bax and Bcl-2 in the EA. hy926 cell, the contents of tumor necrosis factor-α( TNF-α) , interleukin-6 ( IL-6 ) , and malonaldehyde ( MDA ) , the activities of su-peroxide dismutase ( SOD ) and lactic dehydrogenase ( LDH) in the EA. hy926 cell culture supernatant were measured by MTT assay, flow cytometry, Western blot, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ( ELISA ) and colorimetry, respectively. Allicin at different con-centrations(5,20,40 mg·L-1 ) or a specific inhibitor of ERK1/2 signaling pathway PD98059 ( 20 μmol · L-1 ) was added into the EA. hy926 cell to observe the effect of allicin. Results Compared with control group, PM2. 5 significantly increased the apoptosis, the contents of TNF-α, IL-6 and MDA, the activity of LDH, the protein levels of p-ERK1/2 and Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, but decreased the viability and SOD activity in the EA. hy926 cell(P<0. 05). Compared with PM2. 5 group, allicin significantly decreased the apoptosis, the contents of TNF-α, IL-6 and MDA, the activity of LDH, the protein levels of p-ERK1/2 and Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, but increased the viability and SOD activity in the EA. hy926 cell ( P <0. 05 ) . Conclusion Allicin displays a significant protective effect against EA. hy926 endothelial cell injury induced by PM2 . 5 and its mechanism may be related to the attenuations of in-flammation and oxidative stress via the inhibition of ERK1/2 pathway.

Nimotuzumab,a humanized monoclonal antibody against epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) can combine with extracellular domain of EGFR and inhibit downstream signaling pathways to prevent tumor growth.Clinical researches show that nimotuzumab has significant anti-tumor activity in several solid tumors such as squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck,nasopharyngeal carcinoma,malignant glioma and so on,with advantages of good tolerance and low incidence of rashes.

Objective To observe the effect of treating chronic renal failure with self-made Huazhuo Baoyuan decoction.Methods 90 patients of chronic renal failure belonging to spleen and kidney yang deficiency and turbid toxic obstruction type diagnosed by TCM syndrome differentiation were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group according to the date of reception.40 cases in the control group were treated with conventional western medicine,which were low-salt high-quality low-protein diet; to correct acid-base balance and electrolyte imbalance; to correct anemia; adding amino acids; to control blood sugar in patients with history of diabetes; to control blood pressure in patients with hypertension.50 patients in the treatment group were additionally treated with self-made Huazhuo Baoyuan decoction on the basis of the control group.Such indexes as symptom score,serum creatinine (Scr),blood urea nitrogen (BUN),endogenous creatinine clearance rate (Ccr),hemoglobin (Hb),liver function:aspartate aminotransferase (AST),alanine aminotransferase (ALT) ; lipids:total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were observed before and after the treatment.Results After treatment,total effective rate was 88.0％ and 67.5％ in the treatment group and the control group respectively,the difference was statistically significant (P=0.012).The value of Scr (292.95± 85.95) μmol/L,BUN (22.69 ± 9.84) mmol/L,Ccr (22.69 ±9.84)rn1/min,CH(6.23 ± 0.57)mmol/L,TG(1.70± 0.22)mmol/L,HDL-C(1.45 ± 0.04)mmol/L,LDL-C(3.30 ±0.60) mmol/L showed significant difference after the treatment than before in the treatment group (P＜0.05 or P＜ 0.01).Compared with the control group of after treatment [Scr (336.63 ± 90.77)μmol/L,BUN(10.47 ±2.71) mmol/L,Ccr (19.47 ± 6.71) rnl/min,CH (7.21 ± 0.62) mmol/L,TG (2.30 ± 0.27) mmol/L,HDL-C (0.87 ±0.05)mmol/L,LDL-C (5.60±0.70)mmol/L],the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Self-made Huazhuo Baoyuan decoction was effective and safe to treat chronic renal failure.
