1.Postoperative radiotherapy of head and neck squamous cell cancer
China Oncology 1998;0(04):-
The postoperative pathological status of head and neck cancer is the determining factor for the use of radiotherapy. It is still unknown whether the interval between operation and postoperative radiotherapy has any impact on local control of the disease. However, from the radiobiological point of view, early postoperative radiotherapy is preferred, especially for patients with high-risk factors. Research has shown that concurrent chemoradiotherapy could improve the local control rate、overall survival rate and disease-free survival rate for head and cancer without surgery. Concurrent chemoradiotherapy was also recommended to the postoperative patients even though the acute toxicities might be increased significantly, but no evidence showed that it would aggravate late injuries including second primary neoplasm. The role of modern radiation technology and targeted therapy in adjuvant treatment of head and neck cancer needs to be further clarified.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(06):-
The influence of cimetidine on the pharmacokinetics of ftorafur ( FT-207 ) in 9 rats after intragastric administration were investigated with cross-over design. The concentration of ftorafur in serum was determined by reversed-phase HPLC. Its curve of concentration vs time was fit to one compartment opened model. The serum concentrations and areas under the curve ( AUC ) vs time were increased when cimetidine orally administered daily for 5d or single dose. The peak of serum and AUC of ftorafur were increased by 21 .0%(P

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
The pharmacokinetics of alprazolam in 18 rats was studied by using reversed-phase HPLC. The pharmacokinetic characteristics were fit to one compartment opened model after intragastric administration of alprazolam at doses of 50,20 and 2 mg ? kg-1, respectively. The absorbing and eliminating parameters between the three groups were no significant difference. Mean of Ka was 3. 3454 h-1,Ke 0. 3873h-1,T1/2Ka 0. 29 h, T1/2Ke 2.61 h, and Tmax 1.04 h. There was a positiverelationship between the serum concentration and dosage (r = 0. 6096, P

Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 1993;0(01):-
To observe the changes of intelligence in cerebral infarction patients, and to explore the relationship between intelligence and brain CT feature. Methods:The intelligence was measured by WAIS-RC in 80 cerebral infarction patients. Results:The VIQ and FIQ reduced significantly in the patients with hypertension. FIQ in patients with diabetes mellitus and PIQ in patients with cerebral vesscular disease histories reduced significantly. The PIQ reduced significantly in the patients of right focus on CT. VIQ, PIQ and FIQ reduced significantly in patients of cerebral cortices involved. But the number of focus, thalamus involved and cerebral atrophy were of no significance. Conclusion:The intelligence of the cerebral infarction patients companying hypertension, diabetes mellitus and several cerebral vesscular disease histories was impaired significantly. Cerebral cortices involed was the most important factor among the features on CT relating to intelligence quotient.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(01):-
The pharmacokinetics and absolute bioavailability of 1-hexyl-carbamoyl-5-fluorouracil ( HCFU ) (10 mg/kg ) after oral and intravenous administration were studied in 5 dogs with cross-over design. The concentration of HCFU in serum was determined by reversed-phase high performanee liquid chromatography. After intravenous administration, the curve of serum HCFU concentration vs time was fit to a two-compartment opened model and the phar-macokinetic parameters were. T1/2?=1 .67 min, T1/2? = 34.55 min, Vc= 0.2525L/kg,C1 = 0.3205 L/kg?h~-1 & AUCiv =1.9375 mmol/min?L~-1. When HCFU tablets were tiken orally, the curve of concentration vs time was fit to an one-compartment opened model and its pharmacokinetie parameters were: T1/2ke=12.13 min, T1/2ke=38.51 min, Tmax=23.46 min,Cmax=8.140?10~-3mmol/L & AUCpo=1.5856 mmol/min?L~-1 . The absolute bioavailability calculated from AUCpo and AUCiv was 0.8214.

Eighteen patients with hemangioma of alimentary tract were treated in our hospital from 1980 to 1994 There were 11 males and 7 females, with average age of 48?18 years (ranged from 19 to 76 years) Of them,14 patients were treated with operation,2 with hemangioma of rectum were treated with ligation with snare. All of the 16 patients were cured. The etiology, pathology, diagnosis and management are discussed in this paper The experiences of finding small hemangiomas of jejunum and ileum during operation are also introduced in the paper

Objective To evaluate set-up errors by megavoltage cone-beam CT in head and neck cancers treated with precision radiotherapy. Methods From April 2007 to March 2008, 22 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (15 patients) ,parotid carcinoma (4 patients) and brain glioma (3 patients) were enrolled, among whom 7 patients underwent three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) and 15 received intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT). The radiation dose was 56. 0 -70.4 Gy in 28 -32 fractions within 6 -7 weeks. Megavoltage cone-beam scan was performed weekly before treatment. The isocenter displacement was calculated by comparing megavoltage cone-beam CT and planning CT in left-right (LR), cranio-caudal (CC), and anterior-posterior (AP) directions. Results Totally 129 sets of megavoltage cone-beam CT images were obtained for 22 patients. The frequency of isocenter shift more than 0. 3 cm,0. 4 cm and 0. 5 cm were 28,15 and 9, respectively. The maximum mean set-up error was found in CC, which was about 0. 1 cm more than that in LR and AP. The frequency of isocenter shift direction was almost identical in LR and CC, which was more frequent (about 75%) in the posterior direction. Conclusions During the course of radiation of brain tumor and head and neck cancer, the enlarging tendency of set-up errors has been found in all the three directions. The isocenter shift in AP was more frequent to the posterior direction.

Aim To establish a method to evaluate lymphatic drainage of macromolecular tracer in cerebrospinal fluid in rats. Methods Rat cervical lymphatic blockade(CLB)models were established by occlusion of cervical lymphatic tubes and removal of cervical lymphatic nodes. The rats were divided into non CLB(normal controls) and CLB groups.~(125)I-labeled human serum albumin(~(125)I-HSA)was injected into the left lateral cerebral ventricle, and blood samples were collected and ~(125)I-HSA concentrations were detected continually within 24 hours.Concentration-time curve was drawn according to the single compartment model in pharmacokinetics.Parameters of pharmacokinetics such as area under curve(AUC),maximum concentration(C_(max)),transfer rate constant K_a and peak time(T_(max))were derived. The AUC,C_(max),K_a,and T_(max) regarding the lymphatic drainage of ~(125)I-HSA were calculated based on the differences between the two groups. Results AUC,C_(max),K_a of ~(125)I-HSA by lymphatic drainage were 51.97 mg·L~(-1)·h~(-1),2.91 mg·L~(-1),and 0.64 h~(-1),respectively.The proportion of AUC,C_(max),K_a of ~(125)I-HSA by lymphatic drainage to those of drained by both arachnoid granulations and lymphatics was 71.53%,44.02%,58.18%,respectively.T_(max) in CLB group(8.36±0.82 h)was much longer than that in non CLB group(3.57±0.54 h).Conclusions A method to evaluate lymphatic drainage of macromolecular tracer in cerebrospinal fluid in rats is successfully established. The lymphatic drainage pathway plays an important role in eliminating macromolecular substances in cerebrospinal fluid.
