Objective To observe and compare the atomic force microscopy (AFM) images of Yersinia pestis EV76 and the changes in the morphology of the bacteria treated with normal serum and F1 antibody from rabbit, and to explore the immunoassay method to detect Yersinia pestis by AFM. Methods The Yersinia pestis were treated with normal serum and F1 antibody from rabbit and control buffer. All the prepared samples were observed and analyzed by AFM. The changes in the cell surface structures were probed and characterized through sectional analysis, especially the changes of Ra and Rq value. Results The normal morphology of Yersinia pestis was oval in shape with a relatively smooth surface, the size dimension of which was about 1.1-1.3 μm in length with a section profile of 0.8-1.0 μm in width and 0.04-0.06 μm in step height. The step height of the bacteria treated with the normal serum and F1 antibody was obviously enlarged. The shape of the bacteria treated with F1 antibody changed irregularly. Furthermore, the surface of the bacteria was more roughened. Conclusion The morphological characters of Yersinia pestis has been acquired through its AFM images. The morphology of Yersinia pestis treated with F1 antibody has changed greatly, and the index of roughness can be regarded as the distinguished index to detect Yersinia pestis by AFM.

Objective To analyze the articles and citation published in the Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine from 2008 to 2010,in order to investigate the influence factors of impact factor (IF).Methods All articles published in the Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine covered by Chinese Medical Citation Index(CMCI) from 2008 to 2010 were searched and downloaded. Some article related attributions were manual added and their influences to IF were analyzed. Results A total of 1164 academic papers were published in the journal in 3 years, with 9.95 references per paper. The total citation was 1029 times, with 0.93 time per paper and 0.31 time per page.Among them,736 articles were not cited, accounting for 63.2%.Original articles, pure clinical articles had good citation output. For fund supporting, the citation of articles without fund was higher than those with fund. The articles on hematology, cardiology and gastroenterology accounted the most, while ICU,emergency and nephrology were the least internal medicine reported specialties.Although there exists citation difference among different subjects, for considering the absolute values,neurology/psychiatry (0.73 time per paper),cardiology (0.65 time per paper) and gastroenterology (0.54 time per paper) had better citation output, while hematology, basic research and rheumatology had no good performance to IF.Conclusion We should further strengthen acquisition and dissemination of excellent articles, reduce the number of non-cited paper, expand periodical visibility, and provide a quick and convenient way of literature reading.

Objective To investigate D-Dimer, C-reactive protein and brain natriuretic peptide in clinical diagnosis of patients with pulmonary embolism and to compare the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy. Methods 45 cases of large area pulmonary embolism and 45 cases of small areapulmonary embolism were selected, at the same time, 45 cases of normal people were selected as the control group.D-dimer, CRP and BNP levels were detected and compared of each group before and after treatment. The relevance between D-Dimer, CRP, BNP levels and pulmonary embolism was analyzed by Logistic analysis. The gold standard of pulmonary embolism with D-dimer test, CRP test and BNP test were compared.the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy ofD-dimer test, CRP test and BNP test wer calculated. Results D-Dimer, CRP and BNP levels of the large area group and small area group were significantly higher than those in the control group before treatment (P<0.05);the D-Dimer, CRP and BNP levels of large area group were significantly higher than those in small area group (P<0.05).After treatment, the D-Dimer, CRP and BNP levels of large area group and small area were significantly decreased (P<0.05), and had no significant difference compared with normal control group.Logistic analysis showed that there was significant positive correlation between plasma, D-Dimer, CRP and BNP levels and pulmonary embolism (r=3.11, P<0.05;r=4.36, P<0.05;r=2.86, P<0.05) .There was no significant difference of sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of three methods. Conclusion There is a positive correlation between the occurrence of pulmonary embolism and D-dimer, CRP, BNP levels, which are important indexs to evaluate the patient's condition, it has very important clinical value.

Objective To investigate the association of estrogen receptor-? (ER-?) and vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphisms with peak bone mass in Shanghai women. Methods The ER-? PvuⅡ and XbaⅠ genotypes and VDR ApaⅠ genotypes were determined by PCR-RFLP in 515 unrelated healthy women aged 19-40 years of Han nationality in Shanghai. Bone mineral density (BMD) was measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. Results Frequencies of ER-? PvuⅡ genotype PP, Pp and pp were 13.2%, 49.3% and 37.5% respectively. Frequencies of ER-? XbaⅠ genotype XX, Xx and xx were 4.7%, 40.4% and 54.9% respectively. Frequencies of VDR ApaⅠ genotype AA, Aa and aa were 5.8%, 41.9% and 52.3% respectively. Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium was evident for both ER-? and VDR gene polymorphisms. No association was found between ER-? PvuⅡ and XbaⅠ genotypes and BMD of various sites in women. Only a significant association was found between VDR ApaⅠ genotype and BMD at L 1-4(P

【Objective】 To evaluate the clinical use of the baseline CT angiography (CTA) quantitative score (self-designed collateral circulation quantitative, SD-CCQ) in determining the collateral circulation compensation status in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS), as well as the reliability and accuracy of the SD-CCQ score and the Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS). 【Methods】 Retrospective analysis was made on the clinical and imaging data, including CT, CTA and DWI image data, of 84 patients who were admitted for acute ischemic stroke to the Department of Neurorehabilitation of Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to December 2022.Their CTA source images were annotated using a multi-task deep learning method for vascular segmentation. The ASPECTS score and SD-CCQ score were then applied to the CTA images following vascular segmentation in order to assess the collateral circulation compensation of AIS patients. The Kappa test was used to assess the consistency of the two methods used to assess collateral circulation, and the multifactorial Logistic regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between the SD-CCQ and the prognosis of the AIS patients. 【Results】 ASPECTS score had good consistency with SD-CCQ score in evaluating collateral circulation in AIS patients (κ=0.65, P<0.001), and the diagnostic accuracy of the latter for benign collateral circulation in AIS was 96.15%. Logistic regression analysis showed that the new collateral circulation score, baseline NIHSS, and DWI infarct volume were the main factors affecting the long-term prognosis of AIS patients. 【Conclusion】 The new scoring system SD-CCQ can be used to evaluate the compensatory status of collateral circulation in AIS patients, which may help in clinical treatment decision-making and prognosis prediction.
